Came for a private party. We made reservations for 5:30 but did not get seated until almost 6. The food was good, the drinks were good. The service was awful. We had to wait a lot. I'm talking 30 minutes each time for drinks. Waited 30 minutes after asking for our checks. The server charged people for things they did not order. She was rude and unfriendly. She was not able to handle a party of 15. The place wasn't slammed either. Every person in our party was disappointed. I probably won't come back.

10/10 always! Since I moved away it is so hard to find GOOD Mexican food that isn't outrageously expensive and for this el cerro will always hold a special place in my heart. (You really don't know what you've got til it's gone) Free chips and salsa which is always a plus. Delicious queso and HEAPING portions (this was lunch portioning). Large drink selection, A+ margs, quick friendly staff members, and a good vibe for whatever kind of day you're having. What's not to enjoy????

We were all feeling Mexican for dinner after we got into SC so we went to El Cerro Grade we have always heard commercials on the radio for them but never went, so we decided to give it a chance. The queso and salad are Devine. One of my youngest sons was practically drinking it ?. I got enchiladas, my son's both got the build your own tacos, and my husband got the fajitas, it was all very good I don't have anything that I feel was worth complaining about. It was my second eldest sons birthday that day and they treated him with ice cream and a birthday treat but of course he is such a sweet boy and shared it with all his brothers! It was a great experience and we will probably end up going back when we go to SC again.Kid-friendliness: Super kid friendly and loved the big booths all the kids fit and the loved they could see around the room.

First time we went in a long time,maybe 6 months or a year...and I remember why it has been that long.To the servers defense he did have a b-day party with 12 year olds and had to sing and was busy. But he got our order wrong( in our favor had to adjust bill) but we were not looking for a deal we just wanted what we ordered. FOOD WAS NOT very tender,I had a taco salad with chicken. I had to pull out over half so I could chew it.I hate to complain about getting to much but I had rather have something I can eat rather than 2 much. I PERSONALLY WASNT impressed but maybe we got there at a bad time.??? Maybe I will give them another chance n about 6 more months. Not usually a bad place so see for your self and let me no I had a 1 time in satisfied dinner maybe I get back n 3 months

Greeted upon entering. Friendly staff. Restaurant was very clean. Music playing in the background which allowed for private conversations. Food was excellent. Came out hot and yummy. Had the beef burritos with rice. Two on the plate. Can't see them in pics because of the lettuce on top. Traditional chimichangas were so good. Nice crunch to the exterior with delicious tender beef on the inside covered with a white queso. The tortilla chips and salsa were very fresh. Salsa had a great "zip" to its taste. Definitely will return to this hidden gem the next time we're looking for Mexican food.
