My husband and I are breakfast people, so when we saw the Resturant we decided we would stop. We had not read any reviews and we were so so happy that we did not. We ate breakfast here two times and we were very pleased. The menu offers a great variety and on our first visit I selected the Olympic Breakfast, but opted for the blueberry pancakes. OMG, they were the best pancakes I’ve ever experience. The fresh (and I mean fresh) blueberries danced all over my taste buds and the pancakes were surrounded with plump blueberries as well. The pancakes are slightly sprinkled with powdered sugar. Upon request they will warm your syrup‼️ My husband had the Belgium waffles and he was pleased as well. On our second visit, I selected one of the omelets. I don’t recall the name, however it was huge, cooked to perfection with a slight golden color with two blueberry pancake. Again, it was a home run‼️ Did I mention the coffee? They put a pot on the table, it’s hot and the best tasting coffee ever‼️ Needless to say, on our next visit we will come back‼️Oh, the service was quick, friendly and attentive. They even have a local named “Hank” who bikes to breakfast…he’s friendly as well??
My husband and I were here Thursday morning for breakfast. During bike week. It was not busy at all. Friendly staff, fast service. My husband got an omelet and a waffle and I got a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich which were good not great. And we both had the country potatoes. The country potatoes were beyond DISGUSTING ?? My husband said they were (canned) potatoes ?? for 2 people and what we both got 40.00 NOT worth it.
Very friendly staff. The food is delicious & portions are filling! Highly recommend going here!!
This is our second time to Olympic Flame pancake house. The food is yummy and the service was excellent. Jennifer was our server on Monday and then we specifically requested her on Wednesday. The restaurant was packed but the wait wasn’t very long. I had the French toast ,which was fabulous and hubby had the two eggs ,grits and biscuits which were made on point to his liking. Jennifer (nickname Fred) once again had service with a smile as she juggled multiple tables. We always greatly appreciate service with care when we’re dining out. On our next trip back to Myrtle Beach ,we will be back to Olympic flame.
Absolutely amazing restaurant/diner. Friendly and fast service, clean, amazing food. I’d eat here every day if I could. They have something for everyone too. Breakfast or lunch.
We saw this restaurant on Trip Advisor and it was a short walk from the hotel. When we arrived the restaurant looked busy and we were given a 10 to 15 minute wait. The actual time was less than 5 minutes. Our server was a very pleasant young lady. Everything that we ordered came quickly and the quantity was excellent. I will say that we were not impressed with the bacon The link sausage was very good. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone hungry at breakfast.
Decent diner food. I was a little disappointed compared to the delicious authentic southern breakfast places we tried here in Myrtle Beach. Our waitress glared at me while making eyes at my husband. I won't mention her name, although I remember it and it was unusual.
Really good service and great food. Friendly hostess and very clean and nice place
The food is good and like other reviews say it's a little pricey. I got the waffle with pecans. The menu said the pecans would be mixed in but they were simple dumped on top. The eggs and Canadian bacon were very good. Another person in our group got the biscuits and gravy. That was very good. Get a biscuit and gravy or the waffle.
The vanilla ice coffee is so good, and the Belgium Waffle is amazing. I also had the sausage patties and they were great!
Great little busy place for breakfast, but our hostess was great. Typical breakfast brunch with little to no wait. The flounder was great, eggs cooked perfect finally, husband had gyro and baby had chicken fingers. Even the water was good. If your staying near the beach just go on over you won't be disappointed.
Looking for a good breakfast place while visiting Myrtle Beach. This was ok. It wasn't too busy and we were seated right away. Unfortunately parking was metered so had to pay. No credit card slot so you either have to have quarters or you can scan the QR. Good choices on the menu. Mediocre food that comes out. Service was not great. Took a whole for the server to ask what we wanted to drink, by that time we were ready to order. She never came back to check on us after we got our food, until we were done and she brought the check. Which was hand written and just had prices, no total, so we had to add it up ourselves and just guess the tax. So strange. Will probably check out a different pancake house next time. Not worth it to me.
Ordered the chef omelet which includes ham. There were two options for type of ham. I chose one of the two. No additional price stated by the waitress or anywhere on the menu. After I paid for the meal, including tip, I thought the price didn’t quite match up. I patiently waited to bring the issue up to the cashier. The cashier threw the receipt at me, obviously annoyed at me questioning the unexplainable price. She then told me that the ham I ordered was an additional $3. The menu clearly states it’s included. My reason for the 1 star rating is not because of the hidden price alone but mainly how I was treated by the cashier when I asked for clarification. Very poor customer service and hidden charges. I will never come here again.
very over priced for breakfast food, the portions are really large which somewhat makes up for it, but nobody wants to eat that much at breakfast. a glass of orange juice was $4 with no refill, which just dumbfounded me. we had to send some improperly cooked food back, but the waitress was very nice about it. the service was the only decent thing. the cherry on top when we left is that the women's bathroom was disgusting and had no toilet paper. i guess you can get away with a lot when you're in a touristy location.
Overall no complaints. Wanted breakfast near the main boardwalk. Got right in. Nice waitress. Decent food. Nothing special though.
