Great restaurant with friendly staff. The food is amazing, great view, and priced for what you get. this should be a must stop on your visit or if you are local a staple place to go.

The hush puppies and fried food was good. Scallops were just ok. I was expecting them to be way better than the scallops i get in Illinois and they were actually slightly worse. Food was just not good and the price was extremely high.

It was OK. Great seafood, decent service. Nice location, with a beautiful view of the ocean. But why are restaurants hiring more and more young clueless girls, as their hostess? My wife walked in 1-2 minutes ahead of me. Gave the hostess our name, because I had a reservation. I walked in behind her, and asked the hostess where she sat her. The young hostess said, " I have no idea we have a lot of customers here", with a attitude. The place wasn't even busy, and she was seated 1-2 minutes ahead of me. AWFUL response.

Wanted to try this local favorite on vacation so we did. The waitress was great she guided us through the menu and was prompt and friendly/courteous. Food was not up to the reviews, and we have fresh local seafood where we live. 4 of us enjoyed the hush puppies but the clams and pasta in white wine sauce had EGG noodles that were hard yellow meaning not even cooked completely. The seafood platter was broiled but the 3 shrimp 3 scallops and 4" fish portions were sadly small and not worth $35. The flounder was cooked well but wasn't flounder. Jambalaya was bland and not spicy enough and was mostly loaded with okra. Even the wine was measured as if they need to increase prices but have reduced portions. I've had very good food in Myrtle Beach, Italian and seafood. This will be our last meal here because it simply wasn't worth it nor enjoyable.

I enjoyed this place! I love that it is off the water and it has a very homey feeling to it. The decorations inside are beautiful and the food tastes good as well! The prices are higher but the atmosphere is worth it. My wife said her salad is one of the best she has ever had. The dressing was a poppyseed dressing. I enjoyed the pecan crusted grouper and had some fried clams. They also give you hush puppies with honey butter. We will be back again.

Have eaten here 4 times in 3 years. The food is worse every time. Tonight will be our last visit. Service started strong and faded as the meal progressed. The pecan crusted Grouper was tough and simply, not good. Baked potatoes would not melt butter.

Our family loves the Sea Captain’s House. I do not know how many times we have been but, it is ALWAYS the best experience. The food is top notch and the service is always the best. On our most recent visit, Donna was very attentive to us despite a very full restaurant. If you can get seating by the windows, I would recommend it. The view makes the experience that much better. We are always made to feel at home and there is never a rush to get you out the door. Thank you Sea Captain’s house for another memorable visit.

Beautiful outdoor dining patio with excellent food and even better service. The She Crab Soup is always a favorite, but this time we ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp. The shrimp was lightly battered and perfectly cooked with a seeet but tangy sauce. For my entree I ordered their Carolina Catch special: Swordfish with a mango chutney sauce over vegetable rice pilaf. It may be the best swordfish dish Ive had in Myrtle Beach. My husband ordered the flounder and it was also cooked perfectly. 10/10.

We went to Sea Captain for dinner on our first night in Myrtle Beach because it had good reviews. The restaurant was large and crowded on Saturday night. Our server, Henry, was fantastic and took good care of us. We got hush puppies to start, and they were so good we asked for more. For our main meal, we chose the seafood combo and Chilean seabass. The seafood combo was alright, but the seabass was slightly sweet and very tasty. Their bread pudding cheesecake was out of this world delicious. We really liked their margarita and ended up having another one. We may come back just for their margarita.

The valet driver (a native South Carolinian) at the hotel that we were staying highly recommended this restaurant. He said the chef had won chef of the year two years in row.He even told us if we didn’t like it he’d give us half our money back.Upon his recommendation we tried it and I must say they didn’t disappoint. They bring out fresh hot hush puppies with honey butter as an appetizer they were the best I’ve had. We ordered the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer , bbq salmon with lemon brussel sprouts and blackened flounder with asparagus and topped it off with a slice of key lime pie. If you’re in Myrtle Beach. I would recommend this each front spot.

We are twice this month, March 2024, at Sea Captains and not impressed with either meal.First time was Mahi Mahi which was good but it only came sitting in a small amount of cubes sweet potato. And too expensiveSecond time 3 out of 4 of us didn't like our meals
