While I appreciate the staff wanting to make sure the room is clean, housekeeping needs a better system in place when it comes to entering rooms. Some staff members knocked and others would just open the door unannounced. They also tried to enter the room 3 times within the span of 2 hrs… before 10 am. checkout isn’t till 11… what’s the rush?

Really nice rooms and clean. Great location. Only problem was the room had a conjoined room option and the people next door kept me up until 3:45am taking. I could hear every word..... They weren't even that loud just having conversations.

This was my 2nd time staying at the Crowne Plaza and I would stay again! Plenty of available restaurants, the room cleanliness, and the friendly staff will keep me coming.Rooms: The room was very clean and well kept.Nearby activities: You can walk to the ball field and multiple restaurants and a bar.Safety: I felt very safe, well lit and there were a lot of people around.Walkability: You can walk to almost anything you need plus you can drive to nearby WalMart and Grocery stores if needed.Food & drinks: Not only is there a luxury restaurant in the hotel, there are multiple food choices right outside the front door of the hotel.

- check-in was horrible. The lady at the front desk was very rude and dismissive. We checked in online and tried to show her the confirmation, she did not acknowledge it and wasn’t helpful to let us know the next steps- Charged $250 for a “deep cleaning” because we had the room decorated with rose petals and balloons. The rose petals were in neat piles and could have been easy clean up- We were not told about this additional cleaning fee. As we have had rooms decorated before this has never been an issue. When we discussed this with the front desk associate, he told us he gave us a paper and we should’ve read it. Although he never mentioned what the paper consisted of or told us to read it.- They saw the balloons and flowers and still didn’t let us know about this “policy”- Called us at 5pm (check out was at 11am) and said that they could waive the fee if we came back to clean up the petals!!! This was after we were told we would have to talk with the manager the next day. He also wanted to let us know “we didn’t have to Vacuum or anything”- We hired someone to clean up the petals and they came to the hotel and the maintenance man took them upstairs. The maintenance man was confused and even said that what they were doing was wrong and when he opened the room door, he said y’all came back for this!!?!?- The cleaners weren’t there for even 30 mins because there wasn’t a mess. No glitter, confetti or anything just large petals.- Immediately as the cleaners told me they were done, I was charged ANOTHER $250 from Crowne Plaza- I called Cecilio, the front desk associate and he says “We accidentally put a - sign instead of a + sign” but we understand and tells me that it will take 4-7 business days for what is now $500 to be returned.- Cecilio wasn’t apologetic and did not initially admit fault.- Boyfriend called him to see if there was anything additional that the hotel could do, Cecilio did not try to reason with us or make us feel like he was genuinely sorry. He even cussed while on the phone with us. Overall very unprofessional. He also mentioned that he had talked to the manager about this mistake, although he told us earlier he couldn’t contact her until the next day because she was off.

I am giving this hotel 5 stars. Cecilio and all of the front desk that worked with me and my team were wonderful and accommodating. I stayed at this hotel many times for work. The location is awesome, you can go for a run on the river. Biking trails are close by. The hotel has bikes. The Salt and Marrow is wonderful. I hosted an event here. I am an IHG Elite Member.

I have stayed here a handful of times and personally believe it is the best hotel in the Augusta area. Located in a dining and entertainment development centered on the local Minor League Baseball stadium, the hotel is just far away enough from downtown Augusta to feel apart from the city but near enough that everything is a short drive away. The views from the rooms feature either the river, a beautiful pond, or a view of the stadium. Service at the hotel is timely and always provided with a smile. Add to that well maintained rooms and dining options within easy walking distance for all ages and anyone would be hard pressed to point out a better place to stay when passing through this lovely little town.Safety: I have never felt a moments hesitation about walking to and from my car day or night in this area.Walkability: Besides the dining options in the hotel itself, there are other dining options including a Sweetwater 420 bar, a premium Steakhouse, and a Mexican restaurant. Add to that the options available during the baseball season in the nearby ballpark and it's a great location to roam.Food & drinks: The restaurant and bar in the hotel make it nearly unnecessary to walk out the door after you arrive. The staff are knowledgeable on cocktails and dedicated to making your experience worthwhile.

Hands down the best experience possible. Celebrated our anniversary weekend at this hotel. Within short notice they were able to a beautiful bouquet of roses and a bottle of Champagne before check in. All of the staff was very warm, welcoming, and very happy to have us. They all wished us a happy anniversary. Even down to the restaurant staff. Perfect experience!

Hotel looked pretty from outside, nice lobby but rooms were not cleaned. We stayed 3 nights, none of these days rooms were cleaned. Housekeeping didn’t do their job, one day they left note saying they didn’t clean because there was a shirt on bed. Coffee pods were replaced until asked. Were not satisfied with housekeeping service.
