I drove 300 miles yesterday to enjoy one of the best seafood restaurants. Service is great with enjoyable environment watching the ducks, goats, and purple martins.
A bit of a wait but the duck pond made it interesting. Once inside, things moved quickly. The menu is what you'd expect at a fish camp.
The food was great for our first time there. Great sweet tea? Will difently go back!
We always get the family meal and exchange the stuffed crab for extra boiled shrimp. The gator is wonderful. The crab legs are excellent. The scallops are a bit chewy. Hush puppies melt in your mouth. Overall, a great family experience.
This place is super popular for being in the middle of nowhere. It is a definite destination place off the beaten path and well worth the hour and a half drive and the hour wait. We happened to have camping chairs in the car which was helpful. There is plenty to see and animals to take pictures of while you are waiting for your table. The food is AMAZING (as long as you love seafood). Generous portions and plenty of leftovers to go home. We got the most expensive sampler platter for the table which fed 3 adults and one 10 year old and still had 3 to go boxes. We will definitely be back but will get their earlier to hopefully shorten the wait.
Good ole Southern food. Lots of animals to watch too. A fun place with lots of food.
It was good but we wanted spectacular! Be there when it opens or after 7:30. We waited 1.5 hours.
Very enjoyable experience with 2 special friends. Food was delicious, service great, little pricey, but had enough to bring home for a 2nd meal.
We have been customers for over 40 years. Food is always good. Love the grits & hush puppies. Always a wait, but we pass the time looking at the Goats, Ducks, & Peacocks. The kids (big & little) enjoy feeding the animals. Prices are reasonable. They put lots of food on your plate. ?. We drive apx 1.5 hrs to eat here. It's definitely worth it.
great atmosphere and friendly staff
You won't find cloth napkins and fine wine here. But you will find some of North Augusta's finest service, home town southern comfort, and most likely develop a family tradition you'll pass down to your loved ones for years to come. The food is good, the sweet tea is cold (served in a Mason jar), and the hush puppies & grits are complimentary. I've been visiting OM's fish camp since I was a child. Now when I'm in town visiting family we always make a visit with the kids. Feed the ducks, or the goats, or watch the free roaming peacocks strut in the parking lot while you wait for your table. Expect the parking lot to be full and most likely a 30-45 minute wait for your table (all the locals are lined up early, so you're waiting on the faithful to finish dinner). One thing is certain, you will be called Sir or Ma'am at least a dozen times when you do get to your table. Local gem
Nice new adventure to visit the fish camp. hushpuppies are delicious and grits. my flounder was dry and not tasty
excellent service, fantastic good, homey atmosphere.
The lady who helped us with our order and bringing it out as well as talked to us on the phone, Her name is Jessica, SHE WAS AMAZING. Sweet and kind very knowledgeable about their menu and prices and portions. She went above and beyond and just a nice person and made the experience even more pleasurable. It’s rare to find someone who is helpful and nice and not rude. Also the food was awesome and the portions were way more generous than I had thought they’d have been.
Great place to eat. You will have a little wait to get in, but well worth it. Food reasonable priced and very good. Has friendly staff and great service.
