“Great local place on the water. Great happy hour and a good choice of beer. The food is really good and they have a rib night and all you can eat (AYCE) crab legs night. There's live music too. Update 3/16/2024, The Southside Saints played today for St Patrick's Day! They're one of the better bands in the area. There was a delicious corned beef special. Overall, another great time!“
“Food was bar quality, it's a bar restaurant, always packed out in season, nothing crazy, decent food, fair prices it's a loud place. Lots going on as it's a big place... Service is generally okay, it depends on who you get as a waitress. Definitely not for kids...“
“When it comes to seafood buffets here in Myrtle Beach there are lots of options. I chose this restaurant because of its dining and menu options alone. You can get the full buffet, you can get a buffet without crab legs, you can have just a soup salad and dessert buffet, or they have a menu that you can order off of. Prior to choosing this restaurant I'll call around to the others and none of them we're offering all of those options. Now let's talk about the options on the buffet .. there were plenty so no need to worry about that.Let's talk about service..A+++ from the time I called to inquire to the time I left after dining.Cheryl and I hope that I am spelling it correctly, was phenomenal. She even took time out to show us how to crack crab legs and gave us plenty of time to decide if we wanted to add them to our buffet.Do yourself a favor and don't overlook this place if you are visiting or a local. There is no doubt I will definitely return.“
“Enjoyed the show here. Medium- sized indoor concert venue.A little tightly packed for general admission shows. Nowhere to sit in the whole building unless you paid a premium. Standing in line to get merch is an ordeal as there just isn't enough space.“
“When you look up the phrase “just what the doctor ordered” in the encyclopedia, a picture of our evening meal at this fine establishment will surely appear. At the end of a long trek down to SC, the chicken and biscuits that were curated for us were a lovely oasis that satiated our hunger for food and southern flair. Consider our Bo’s jangled. “
“One meal was hot and the other one was cold but both meals were tasty and flavorful. Our server was lovely , and she gladly took it back to get microwaved. Definitely short staffed . It took so long to get our food . I wish the muffin/bread basket came out prior to our meals rather than with the meal, because we were literally “starving” after such a long wait and would have at least had something to munch on . .“
“Outstanding food! I had the shrimp Po boy. The Mrs had the big easy special. Huge portions. There was a mix up with our order, so it took longer than expected to get our food, but they gave us a free dessert to make up for it. The banana pudding was delicious.“
“I finally went here to try the food. I was pleasantly surprised. The hot dogs are worth the trip. They're a little more expensive than other similar places. However, the food quality offsets the higher prices. I would tell others, that this a must try.“
“This place was awesome. It's a diner and the food was delicious. We had breakfast and it was hot, tasty and generous. Our server was Caroline and she and a patron kept us entertained. She was awesome and stayed on top of all the orders while chatting with everyone. We enjoyed it so much! The prices were also very reasonable! The Traveling HeartsRuben & Phyll Martinez“
“The food on the buffet was very delicious.i especially enjoyed the southern fried yellow summer squash just like grandma’s. It was so good I’ll be back for sure. Fried shrimp, fried fish , barbecue ribs ,delicious smoked sausage. Also have all you can eat crab legs on Tuesday and Wednesday. I’ll definitely try that one night “
“Fantastic family find. Great southern food with a flair. Whoever thought to do a collard greens egg roll? The special of salmon cakes, broccoli casserole, and carrot cake was right out of my mother's cookbook. (She just couldn't make that good of carrot cake) we loved it.“
“Warning this will be long. SERVICE - Awesome, today Khalehla was our waitress. But all the other waitresses filled your drinks, checked on how happy you are with your meal. The best way to describe this effort is TEAM WORK, IT WORKS WELL. FOOD - portions are great. This was our 1st visit and Not our last. We ordered extra sides so we could try different items from the menu. Onion Rings were cooked just right. French Fries were seasoned just right and tasted great. The rest of our meal was very unique, and yes it would remind you of your mom's cooking. Grilled ham and Swiss on rye. Have not found this anywhere else in the area. Barb-Q plate, the pork was seasoned that gave it a vinegar, spicy mixture. Never had Barb-Q that way and definitely would not pass that up again. Mix the pork plate with the coleslaw provided and that is a home run. The Lima beans had a smoked flavor to them and as a lover of Limas we would get that again. If you're in the area come on by and check them. Buy a shirt or hat too. If you read my reviews please give it a like as it lets me know people are seeing them. Thanks Sean ArnoldVegetarian options: Plenty of veggies and salad to choose from.Dietary restrictions: If you have a restriction or issue staff will address that for youParking: Gravel parking lot that is large.Kid-friendliness: The menu is kind friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Looks like they are ADA compliant.“
“I love The Shack, especially for breakfast. They have a great breakfast menu, and the food is always hot and delicious! Today I had the Loaded Trash which is a bowl of grits topped with bacon, sausage, cheese, and an egg cooked how you like it. I also love their fried pork chops, which are on the menu on Wednesdays. If you are looking for a nice spot with good vibes, try The Shack!“
