This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area...great dive bar atmosphere that attracts people of all backgrounds...extremely friendly staff...awesome bartending and attention to customers...food is local and delicious...something on the menu for everyone from pizza to fish to seafood...seating inside and outside with stage for music outside...absolutely love everything about the PIT...
Food was good as always, but we were kind of miffed that almost half the lunch menu was "unavailable" on a Friday afternoon. And for each extra condiment we asked for, the server reminded us that it would be 50 cents extra. The food gets 4 stars, but overall experience was 3 stars sadly.

First time coming here, and we were pleasantly surprised. Very unique place, food and service was good, and beer was very cold. It was a little hard to find, just look for the green mailbox with PIT on it. Our only issue was a kitchen worker cussing out the host. GD, MF, etc., right after we were seated. I would have given 5 stars but for that.
