Every once in a while you “find” a great place that has been right in front of you all along. High Thyme is one of those places! We came in for dinner for the first time recently and were blown away and couldn’t believe it has been an option for us for so many years and we just have been missing out. The food was incredible, portions generous, service friendly and knowledgeable and the wine was very reasonably priced with great selection. We arrived right at 5 and the dining area had plenty of tables available but it appeared as though the bar may have opened up a bit earlier because every stool was already filled. By 5:30 the dining room was also packed (this was a Saturday night in between Christmas and New Year’s for reference). All in all we are thrilled to find another great spot on Sullivan’s and can’t wait to go back. Definitely aspiring regulars.

We love this restaurant! Small place, good menu. I love their lasagna. Good apps and wine list. The service is excellent. We always go to High Thyme when we come to IOP. Quick drive to Sullivans island.Parking: Tiny parking lot, parking in the street, or parking a short walk away. We end up going when they’re pretty busy, and parking is not available right in front.

One of the best meals we have had in Mt Pleasant/Charleston. Hot food, hot! This place is fresh, inviting and charming. Wine list was great, reasonable. The service was wonderful - thanks Casey! The spinach and mushroom risotto (I added scallops) was the best I’ve had. Highly recommend any food here - must go! It’s on our list now to bring family and friends that visit.

Always in my top 5 in Charleston at any moment. The absolute best staff, best service and consistently good food. This is a great place. If you have a crowd with varied taste, there are beef, options, seafood options, and pasta. The menu is small and changes fairly often and I can’t recommend the specials enough. The cauliflower dip is absolutely to die for, and they are seared tuna, the appetizer, or the entrée is incredible. The dishes are always creative, the ingredients are fresh, and it’s always just an overall wonderful dining experience.
A must try while in the area.We just bought a home on Pawley’s Island and this is one of our favorite new spots.The risotto is the best. The duck is delicious!Wonderful staff as well.

Honestly. We came in from the beach to grab some appetizers and a couple drinks and felt judged the whole time. Like we didn’t belong in their “fine” establishment. Vibe was terrible. No music. Rude staff. Food was mediocre. 10/10 would not recommend. They didn’t ask if we wanted to order more food or have another drink. Just brought the check, set it on the table and left. It was literally like they just couldn’t wait for us to leave. Never felt so unwanted at a business in my life. Will not be back. That’s for sure! If you’re a normal person looking for a good time near the beach this is not your spot. If you like overspending on food and dressing up in the sand, this is all you. That’s my two cents. Take it or leave it.
