Someone told me that the chef was an exiled Italian Prince who had lost his true love on the Titanic, not sure if that’s true or not, but man the Divers scallops and the Pizza were amazing!“
“Amazing food, but the service was even better. First things first, the croissants were the BEST I've ever had. We had the Tai shrimp and gator bites for apps. They were fried to perfection. The batter was delicious. Entrees were beef rib and fried oysters. All of it was superb. We had a little issue with 1 of our dishes (baked potatoe wasn't hot), and the service we got to fix it was above and beyond anything we could have asked for. The manager should teach classes in how to provide excellent service. We are from Va but will definitely return here when visiting.“
“We arrived at 8pm had to wait for a table to be cleaned which is expected cause they were packed. Waitress got our drinks and the tea was good ol southern sweet tea. We ordered and our burgers came out about ten min later. The sweet potatoes waffle fries were really good, the burgers were cooked perfectly and when I say awesome!!!! One of the best I’ve ever had! !! I’ve eaten here before but not since the menu was changed last year, and have never had a bad experience at JL OGRADY’S!!! Thank y’all for setting the burger bar standard high!!!!!“
“I loved the food here, literally the only ramen place that I could find that did beef. Also had gotten some wings and they were huuge, also very tasty, loved the sauce and how crunchy they were. Would Def recommend this place. The lady there is also very sweet.“
“I came in not soo far away from closing time, so I knew there probably wasn't much to choose from and was fine with that bc thier food is pretty good. A lady named Tamera helped me with my order and was so polite, and gave me better portions then I even expected! They whole staff was attentive, and kind.Dietary restrictions: I was getting a plate for my father who doesn't eat pork, and they gave me all the options for his sides! Very helpful!“
“This Was Great! The service is awesome and so kind! I came with my friends and I wasn’t hungry so I didn’t get anything. My waitress walked over and said she would cover me if I didn’t have money. Which is so kind and thoughtful. The atmosphere is great with so many kinda people. An anonymous told the waitress to give me $10 so I could eat this is great these people are way too kind and thoughtful! This is a must try and I will be returning!!!!“
“Fantastic Wings, Fries and side salad. The sweet tea was home level good. The sauce flavors all looked fantastic. Definitely a must try in Sumter.The wings were larger than what I was used too. For 15$ I received 8 wings, fries (I could choose the cut) bread and a salad. What a deal! I was certainly full after stopping here which is always a worry for a wing place.“

“A classy restaurant, designed in a formal setting but it's still ok to visit casually. You can get the best seafood, prepared with a unique recipe. The environment is very cozy and you may need to reserve a seat or you may have to wait to get a seat. The parking space is comfortable and it is well located.“
“Not much of an atmosphere. My granddaughter and I (besides employees) were the only ones there. I wasn't really pleased when the people cleaning the bathrooms without gloves on, were in and out behind the cooking area. They had the doors open so we could see what they were doing. Also a lady came from the back and some of the language she used wasn't the best. I was very glad that there weren't any children there. Also if there are problems going on, I would think that she could have discussed it in a better way. My granddaughter is a teenager so I'm sure she probably has heard some of the things she was saying Good thing my granddaughter liked the food, or I probably would have gotten up and left. Would I go in there again? Not sure. I would definitely look to see who was working before I made my decision.Parking: The handicap parking spaces were across the parking lot. I was trying to find the handicap walk up area. It was at the end of the sidewalk which made it harder to get inside. They need a handicap ramp up closer to the front door.“

“Great place to go on Sunday morning after church... seems everyone had that idea today! Food is good and service is friendly. Staff keep the place clean. Price is good for buffet breakfast... better than other places downtown for single entree.“
“2nd time here on a Sunday. Always a wait, but very worth it and both times we were seated earlier than the estimated wait time. Food and service excellent both times from hostess to server, amount of food, correct order. Love their omelettes,. Biscuit and sausage gravy is just right. Definitely found our breakfast spot! We will have to come specifically to have a lunch meal. We had breakfast meals both times.“
