Dined here twice. First time, we tried the omelettes (just okay) but loved their home fries and cinnamon roll! Second time, tried the chipped beef and loved it. Our resort gave us a 10% off coupon (and the restaurant applied the 10% off to our free waters- we did question it & was told that's how it works?)! You definitely should order the cinnamon roll.

The food portions are great. Kids size meals are more than enough for adults. Ordered french toast for my 5 year old from the kids menu and thought that would include only one slice of french toast and was pleasantly surprised to receive two slices. Service was as quick as possible being the place was full to capacity with people waiting. We arrived at a little before 10am and were seated by 1030 and eating our meal at 1045. Not bad at all. The dining room was clean and updated as I can tell by the wooden floors and oddly enough was not too loud and rowdy. We will definitely make this a staple restaurant on future trips to Surfside/Myrtle Beach. Enjoyed everything including the music in the background as I heard Lauryn Hill playing.

We have been coming to the Golden Egg for several years the reason why is simple. The staff. From the moment you walk in the door the hostess is friendly and welcoming. Now since we’ve been coming, they remember us and treat us like we are family. Our daughter has special needs and they are more than accommodating to her and our family. Two years ago, my daughter had a medical issue and this same hostess came over and checked on us in a calm manner. She has always been so kind and goes above and beyond to make sure that not only us but the other patrons are taken care of. The additional perk, is that the food is delicious and they will cook it your liking. Don’t be afraid to ask…they will do it right!

Amazing, spectacular, delicious. My favorite breakfast place I have ever been to. Get the cinnamon roll (not to go you need it heated and warm). I get the veggie omelette and it is so filling and not too wet. Very good grits as well! Expect a wait because this place is amazing but it is totally worth it :)

I was just there. It's pouring down rain. I was told to put my name in because it would 15 min to 20 minutes wait. I was with my boys and soaking wet. I was told by the hostess to stand outside. Wait! What?!? Then In your car. Please step aside to keep the lobby clear. I felt so disrespected in place in front of my boys.

Nothing more special than Dennys. Had the Golden breakfast with pancakes. Eggs had no flavor and were under cooked (runny whites for over easy so could eat much). Got fresh strawberries and they were at least a week old and a questionable health code violation. Bacon was VERY good. Do Not get a cappuccino- they have no idea what one is and it was not hot.

The Egg was our exclusive go-to for years. Last few visits, pancakes were puny. Link sausage puny as well and sauage and bacon way overcooked. Moved on to Omega and The Wooden Spoon. Way better.
