Open with bar eating, very noisy at times, hard to hold a conversation. Service was quick, server was very pleasant and the two blackened flounder dinners were very good.

Some of the best seafood I have had in the MB area!!!

Rick is an accomplished chef and his offerings are creative and large enough for typically 2 meals at a very good price point. I highly recommend this secret little jewel in Surfside beach. Go there! You will not regret it and you will return again and again cause I know I will.

Our family of four visited this restaurant and absolutely loved our meals. Appetizer, salads and hush puppies were phenomenal too. Plan to go to this restaurant every time we visit Myrtle Beach. It exceeded our expectations. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Great addition to restaurant choices in Surfside Beach. Every item from appetizer to dessert is prepared and presented with quality in mind. It is apparent the chef is proud of his creations. Seafood is fresh and cooked to perfection. Never tried the prime rib but it looks scrumptious. Save room for the key lime pie, best I have ever had. This is our go to place for fine dining on the southside.

Friendly staff and reasonable priced food. If you want something cooked a special way, the friendly chef will work with you.

We drive by this restaurant everyday and always say we should visit and check it out. Well we did just that today and were delightfully surprised. The food was excellent and the service was like being family. My wife and I were very happy with our entrees and the Calamari we had for an appraiser was delicious. I will tell you that the menu shown on Trip Adviser is from when the restaurant was Valentino's and it has completely changed and needs to be up-dated. We were delighted with our meal and will be a regular in the future.

Great food and Service. Seafood and land food are both really good, and nice atmosphere. Often have live music on the patio in Summer.

Service was very good , atmosphere very nice, onion soup was excellent, salad and grilled fish very good. Shrimp Creole was a little spicy but good. The shrimp were too small. Overall we enjoyed and will return.

Having so enjoyed our meal here last year (a few weeks after their initial opening); we made it a priority, to return on this year's visit to the area The facility is a comfortable, local family-restaurant. Our server, Sandra, was friendly and attentive. The complimentary hushpuppys were addictively tasty. Being that we were, in fact, early; we took advantage of the early-bird specials. The opening salads were fresh and flavorful. Both our salmon piccatta, and our penne rose with chicken were excellent. The ending chocolate mousse was a appropriately indulgent ending, to a very satisfying dining experience. This really is one of the best eateries in the area.

We have eaten at Rick's 3 times and in one hour we are heading there again. Everything about Rick's is great. There is no restaurant in the area that produces better seafood. My mouth is watering as I write this.

Great food. Friendly and family owned. Best hushpuppies on the Strand. Fresh house salad piled high and nightly specials. We've been here a few times, and every time it never disappoints. Early Bird specials available as well.

Rick's Fish House in Surfside, SC. We stopped by there today for an early dinner/late lunch. They don't open until 3 PM but offer their Early Bird Specials ending at 6 PM. I was delighted to find local Steamed Clams soaking in a butter, garlic, clam broth bath in a stainless steel pot with a Toasted French bread slice. This pot and brother kept the clam pipping hot for the entire meal. This dinner came with a house salad (very ample) and a side. I chose French Fries at $12.99. Hubby had Shrimp Creole; again he said it was delicious and reasonable on the Early bird Menu. Very spicy but he likes it that way. My husband raved about their Hush Puppies. We met Rick Meyers, owner/chef, the former chef at Dave's Dockside, who said most restaurants make their Hush Puppies with a Mixing machine. He makes his by hand as taught to him by Bubba's momma who used to work at Bubba's Fish Shack on the Inlet. Service by Laura was friendly and efficient. We had many things in common as she was from MA also originally. We all live here now and will be back. Not much atmosphere, but clean (even the restroom). Rick just celebrated his one year anniversary of having his own restaurant. The menu on this website may need to be updated, as I see a lot of Italian dishes on this site. I know they serve Calamari as I overheard a guest rave about it.

It doesn’t look like much from the outside and even the inside is kinda simple, but our food and service was excellent! Some items we ordered were average like the fish and chips(not much flavor) and the crab cakes weren’t all lump crab meat. All the rest of our food was really good! I got blackened grouper with grits and has the chef add cheese to the grits. Now I’m a southerner and grits lover and these were some of the best!!! The seafood pasta was also excellent and approved by my very picky teenager!! Our server was very friendly and attentive. When we checked out, she gave us a coupon for a free appetizer for our next visit! We will be back!!
