This is the best place for cocktails in Rapid City. Especially if you like low key, chill environments. But don't go in a hurry. These are scratch made, fresh ingredient, cocktails. And they take time to craft. I try to get here whenever I visit town.

Second time ive been here, last year went with a group of 12, was able to have order food from murphys, which now no longer do, and had a great time so went back the next year ,Went with a group of 16, apparently you are suppose to have only 15 in your group. Which we wer told was ok but was not told about the extra charge. So we got charged double for our already over priced drinks just cause we had one extra person. Ridiculous. Will not be going back and supporting this place.

I loved the vibe and the allure of finding this true speakeasy bar. However the menu seemed a bit basic compared to other cocktail bars in the area. But highly recommend if you’re in the area!

July 19 Waited 45 min for 3 cocktails . Mind you 6 servers. Vodka tonic'ish came undrinkable..We waited an add 10 min for the server to calculate 20-12.00. When we approached the server about our change, she responded "first world problems"Service slow to none. Cocktails tasted nasty. Servers non apologetic, rude. They need to find new jobs that aren't service related or basic math. DONT BOTHER WITH THEM

Blind Lion is one of my favorite places to take out of town friends. The Atmosphere is one of kind and unparalleled in the whole area. The bartenders bent over backwards to give us the expiernce we'd never forget including working hard on recreating a drink from 5 Years ago!

Great comfort food. I was surprised with how good the fish and chips were given the land locked location. Homemade tartar sauce was delicious. The beer cheese soup had great flavor - was a tad thin.

While we don’t come here every time we visit Rapid City, we do come fairly frequently. This is the first time they have disappointed us. Our food was dried out like it sat under the warming lights for way too long. We both had sandwiches that had been grilled, but they were lukewarm at best and the bread was extremely hard. We will still come back, everyone has a bad night once in a while

So many mixed experiences here. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. We were recently told that the chef had changed, and it sure showed on the food quality. Other times, they simply ignore your text messages for a reservation. Not sure how this place can survive with these issues considering how expensive it is.

Staff was awesome! The atmosphere was great. The food was ok, The chef asked us for honest opinions so here is mine. For the fall dinner, the salmon tasted wonderful but some of the bigger pieced where underdone. The bison stake was way to sweet he had a great idea but all I could taste was the honey. Some of the bigger carrots where undercooked, the potato's where good. And for the cheesecake it was good just huge pieces. I had the non alcoholic versions of the drinks and they did not really resemble the alcoholic ones and where all way to much cities in them, except the desert one that was was good. But I had a wonderful time.

We went to a $100 per person dinner event that the bar was throwing. I’ve given 3 stars on the basis that (1) the cocktails were amazing - 5 consistently great cocktails and none were sickly sweet and the service was really very good but (2) the food doesn’t even deserve to be one star. The starter was six bite size pieces of salmon with some sort of raspberry jam on top. A couple of my pieces were incinerated black. They were served with no garnish. Literally just 6 pieces of salmon. The main course was what appeared to be the sole of a boot but was advised to be bison strip. We were given butter knives to cut it and when we asked for steak knives the table of 4 had to share 2 between us. I have no idea how the person cooking had managed to get the steak so tough. I couldn’t even eat it. The carrots on the side were still literally raw. The potatoes were under seasoned but edible. Dessert was fine - there were two choices of cheesecake but we didn’t get to select which one we wanted. So I strongly recommend going for cocktails. Do not waste your money on the food.

Great speakeasy with an authentic 20s feel that focuses on craft cocktails. Located in the basement of Murphy's. You'll need to take the elevator down to get there. On weekends they require a password. We went for the comedy open mic on a Thursday. On Wednesdays and Thursdays it's not too crowded and you can do a walk in. Weekends require reservations.I did the 3 course cocktail option where your bartender chooses what to make for $33. It was fun to try new things, but only one of the cocktails was perfect to my liking. We met the executive chef and ordered the bison burger of the moment and it was the best burger I've had in a long time!!! The man knows what he is doing! Creative and delicious menu items.
