My wife and I went here for our first time and were disappointed by the food, it was bland and my wife didn’t eat her food. I ordered a chimichanga that had some kind of sweet taste to the fried part and it made me think of churros lol but anyway we won’t be going back sorry not sorry! The waitress never came to check on the food and was very distant. A Low tip was given.

Food was below average. FRIED rice was not at all fried. The orange chicken tasted like sweet BBQ chicken of some sort. The beef and broccoli was pretty much broccoli with two pieces of beef.Best of all, the restaurant was closed. After arriving at the location and seeing that the building was completely closed and calling the number, I was THEN told that The Great Wall “sister” restaurant was where the food was actually being made. That location was a few blocks down from the original address. Even then, when I walked in to pick up my food, I was almost poisoned by the dense stench of bleach in the 4x4 foyer surrounded with plexiglass.Would not recommend, only reason why I’m actually giving 2 stars is because I got SOME type of edible FOOD after a super long day.

I'm irritated I just called the restaurant and they are closed for dine in!!! All they're offering is carry out and delivery I told them their website says absolutely nothing about being close for dining in!!! Am I missing something?

We ordered take out last night (3/04/2020) and everything was awesome! The best pork fried rice I’ve ever had! Chunks of pork in the rice were huge! Moo Goo gai pan was awesome (my personal favorite) , sweet & sour pork was also extremely tasty with huge chunks of pork and some veggies in the sweet & sour sauce as well. We ordered 3 egg rolls which were quite good and the shredded beef was pretty good ( the menu said it was hot, but it was not really) so if you like hot, you need to ask for their house hot sauce, then be careful because that stuff will clear your sinuses right out! 5 out of 5 stars from me! Even tho the menu does not list it, they have an awesome egg drop soup as well. The fried shrimp are no longer available as an appetizer and no delivery anymore.

This place has been a staple IB Rapid City for years. Unlike most restaurants in town their menu has been a go to for my wife and I for at the time of this review 13 years. The staff is always friendly and can make very good recommendations. If you haven't tried them out you better.
Imperial use to be one of the best chinese restaurants in RC. Now it looks run down. The furniture in the lobby is nasty(stained & soiled) the floor(carpet) is filthy. Look up at the ceiling tiles they are are stained and cobwebs are all over the place. If the entrance is this distasteful, I can't imagine what the kitchen looks like. The food was mediocre. It was hot. The brocolli was yellow-green. Couldn't hide behind the sauce which was watery and not the usual brown sauce. Was very disappointed. The last certificate they had on the walls was from 1996 and 2004. That should have been a clue.

Went in with a friend on Wednesday her sweet and sour chicken was raw. She spoke to the manager and was told they would replace it at her convenience. Called in today and the lady on the phone was down right rude. Said something when she went to pick up and got told yes I'll tell the kitchen. The kitchen has nothing to do with the dude person on the phone. Raw food and nasty attitude wont be back with that service.
