It reminded me of my favorite Waffle House servers in Texas, except with huge pancakes. The food is good, so we ate there both mornings we were in South Dakota. I loved it. Plus, it’s open until 1 p.m., I think.

Don't let this little hole in the wall place fool you! Morning Side cafe is one of our favorite breakfast spots in the hills! Family owned and operated this cafe makes you feel like you are part of the family! Real home cooking, friendly service, great food and fast too!

This little gem of classic Americana has some great breakfast options! I have not tried any of the lunch options. I have not been disappointed by any of my breakfast orders. They do close early as they are just a breakfast and lunch spot.

Have eaten here alot. Over time, it seems to be going down hill.Food not the same. Much smaller portions and cook less experienced.Service... inexperienced waiter trying to do toooo much.

Lovely LOCAL cafe, not a chain. Wonderful food, phenomenal service, great atmosphere w/John Wayne decor!We will eat here again when visiting the Black Hills.Highly recommend!
Not the best food, service was pretty terrible. Felt like unless you were a regular, they didn't care that you were there. Shady neighborhood. Bathroom was terrible and dirty.

We came from out of town looking forward to breakfast but received “Horrible” service!!! Can’t review the food because we left. We waited for 5 to 10 minutes and never got acknowledged. We were totally ignored!!! Another table that came after us got silverware. The reviews don’t match the service.

You like Biscuts and Gravy? Yeah.. every bit of the meal is made from scratch. The best Ive ever had.A perfect 'mom and pop' shop. Try this and your stomach will thank you.

My original review got removed for some reason but I clearly remember this place and ALWAYS will. I ordered a chicken fried steak and got a deep fried hamburger patty with gravy and I distinctly remember seeing that as an option on the menu and making a joke to my family about how disgusting that sounded.
