I am not someone to write reviews but the dark haired head hostess is the most unpleasant individual I've ever experienced. Unfriendly and absolutely irritated if you bring a child there for dinner. She asks how long you are going to be while you and your child are eating dinner and makes the entire experience unwelcoming.

Great food…a little small in space so band playing too close to patrons. That said…we will definitely go again!!! Excellent food!

Was visiting my daughters and their families here in Rapid City and neither of them had been here before so decided to give it a shot to celebrate my birthday. The atmosphere was great… service was amazing and to top it off a very generous patron anonymously paid for our meal! When we asked the waitress who it was so we could personally thank them, she said the individual doesn’t want to recognized. So both of my daughters’ husbands were unable to join us to celebrate as one was out of town and the other was sick…. Both of my daughters are in their third trimester so let’s just say we were all very hungry and wanting to enjoy! Thank you Shipwreck for the great experience and also to the generous individual for picking up our tab!

I love this place! The atmosphere, waitstaff, and the best fish and chips in the area. I will still come here even after moving north a bit.

After a day of experiencing the Buffalo Roundup at Custer State Park, we headed back to where we were staying in Rapid City. We were quite famished, and happened upon Shipwrecks Bar and Grill so we decided to stop to get a couple beers and a bite to eat. My husband had a cheeseburger with fries and I had fish and chips. We both decided on Buffalo Snot oatmeal stout by Mount Rushmore Brewing Company. The food and the beers were good. Nancy, the owner, brought us our food and chatted with us for a little while (very pleasant - thank you for the explanation on the restaurant name!) Overall, we had a decent restaurant experience. Thank you all at Shipwrecks!

Nice very casual restaurant with nice atmosphere, good service but mediocre food. Wife and I ordered the special of Surf and Turf (beef tips and grilled shrimp/baked potatoe/veggie). The beef tips were over cooked which made them chewy, the potatoe was under cooked which made it hard and the veggies were great. We also ordered a dessert (apple pie/vanilla ice cream) which was good. Our server was Vince, very nice and pleasant although he could have been a bit more attentive. I don't see us rushing back.

We came to Shipwrecks largely because it was close to Hart Rv Park and allowed us to bring our dog onto the patio. The owners bought it two years ago, and were present and helpful both nights we went. They even have a dog menu. It is an older building, very clean, very attentive staff. The food was all good, especially the burger and the Rueben sandwich. Both large portions! Even the side salad with French dressing was nicely done. There was guitar music on the patio one night. Great place! If we lived here we'd be regulars for sure

Our lunch was really good as well as the service. The bleu cheese burger was delicious! And, good fries. Husband liked his pulled pork sandwich too. The waitress was very nice and attentive. Nice interior and there's a patio. So glad we stopped here!

Sides, tots and sweet potato fries, were very good. The chicken fried steak was under seasoned and the fish was very over cooked

We got the black and blue burger and the fish and chips. The burger was great, nice and crispy bun. Fish could use a little more seasoning as they came out a little bland. Fries were not burnt and cooked well. The resturant is a small space so there aren't many tables. They do have some outside seating with blankets for whomever gets cold.
