The Rushmore Hotel & Suites donated a free night to my Fire Deparmtment for our annual banquet. I won the free night and have to say it was a great staycation. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was really nice! I loved the design of it. We stayed in the Eco Platinum king room, and it was seriously the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on in a hotel. Thanks again.

I booked a room for a week. The amenities claimed there was a fridge but I did not have one in my room. I also had a do not disturb sign on my door but when I came back it was removed and my room at been gone through. Not necessarily cleaned but things had been rearranged. It seemed when I first arrived that the room had been made quite quickly. There wasn’t a fitted sheet but too flat sheets. Small details but for the price they tend to add up.

LOUDEST hotel I've ever been in. Paper thin walls and single pane windows. Drove 12 hrs to lay down for 2 hours and had to find another hotel to get some sleep. Don't waste your

I HAVE STAYED AT MOTEL 6 WITH CLEANER ROOMS. WHEN WE ARRIVED OUR ROOM STILL HAD TRASH IN IT FROM THE PREVIOUS PEOPLE. THE COMFORTER HAD STAINS AND SMUDGE MARKS. AFTER USING THE ALMOST EMPTY ROLL OF TOILET PAPER WE UNWRAPPED THE OTHER ROLE ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT IT HAD BEEN DROPPED IN THE TOILET AND PUT BACK ON THE SHELF. OUR ROOM NEVER FULLY RESTOCKED , NEVER CLEANED PROPERLY, OUR BEDS WERE MADE ONLY TWICE OF THE FOUR NIGHTS THAT WE STAYED, NO REFRIGERATOR. THE FRONT DESK WAS RUDE. I WILL SAY THE FOOD WAS GOOD, THE SERVICE AT THE BAR AND RESTARAUNT WAS VERY GOOD. HAVING SAID THAT I STILL WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AND WE WILL NOT BE BACK. WHAT A WAY TO SPEND YOUR BIRTHDAY WEEKEND

I definitely had some mixed feelings about this hotel. I had high expectations due to the location and good reviews that i read. I'd say the best part of this hotel is the services they offer. They have lots of amenities and a nice restaurant. The rooms and bed were what was lacking. The mattresses was older and had hide dips in them. The rooms seemed cleaned but didn't look that way due to needing updating/renovating. Overall, it was a decent place with awesome staff, just needs renovations. For what you're getting the price is probably just right.

It's a pretty cool hotel with some cool history. They've done a good job of keeping the rooms updated, however, it's not a new hotel, and you can tell.I would definitely stay again!

My daughter thought they had mice in their room. They had to go down at 1 in the morning and speak to the front desk. Front desk put traps down, but she had to get up at 4 in the morning I could not get back to sleep terrible

We did not have a good stay. This hotel is right downtown but I would highly recommend not getting a room with a street view; especially, if you are staying there over a weekend. We stayed a Friday and Saturday with little to no sleep on the street view side. Both Friday and Saturday we could hear the bar scene and voices well into 3am both nights. At one point we could hear people having a conversation at 3am from the street and we were 5 floors up. I had to ask twice for the soap to be refilled. The room was clean but also outdated. I don't recommend this hotel and we won't be staying here again.

Because The Rushmore was centrally located to our planned day trips in the area, we stayed 4 days. The rooms were very nice. Our room had one queen bed, a seating area, a bar with stools allowing a view out of the window. Our room had a mural on two walls, a local map of area attractions and parks and the other was a scene of a local lake. We actually used the map when planning our day. The only thing lacking was a refrigerator. The bathroom was a good size. The bathtub-shower combo was very slick. Ask for a bath mat. They offer a laundry service with just a few hours turn around. They do don’t have guest washers and dryers. We always ate at the restaurant for breakfast. It was not free, but it was a very reasonable price. We enjoyed drinks in the bar at the end of the day.The service at the hotel was excellent. All we had to do was ask. They were always pleasant and very helpful.Nearby activities: We chose this hotel because of the location. We made day trips to Mount Rushmore, Mammoth Site, Badlands, Custer State Park, Black Hills, Deadwood, Sturgis, Devils Tower and Wall’s Drug Store.Walkability: We walked around the area close to the hotel. There were restaurants, bar, and shops close by. We also found several of the President statues that are on downtown corners.

The staff was friendly and helpful and the restaurant was fine. The room size was good and clean but it was old and appeared as if a few new items, like lamps were put in to try to modernize. The bathroom was awful. Really old and small. The countertop was an awful shade of red, which I had never seen used anywhere. The toilet did not flush well and the handle needed to be held down in order to work. The toilet and bathtub had stains. I wouldn't stay there again.

This is a 1960's hotel trying to dress up and be retro cool. We are BW platinum members. No free water here, they have it for a charge. There is a charge for everything. The room was not the cleanest. Scuff marks or dirt on the comforter. No wash clothes either. Did not discover that until ready to jump in the shower. This is not in the shadow of Mt. Rushmore, it's 27 miles away. Best Western should dump this place.
