I have tried my share of Barbecue in my 20 years living in Memphis--there's a lot of competition and appeal. I also have worked at Memphis Barbecue Company, so a semblance of bias in the level of award winning barbecue has stuck with me. Oh, and if you aren't feeling barbecue, my husband tried the catfish and it was amazing and the hushpuppies are freaking amazing--hand-made, a bit of jalapeño (I stole some nibbles lol). I have been waiting to try this place since August. I finally visit Ty's Smokehouse on November 10th, 2023. The first thing I noticed was the good BBQ smell. I also noticed how clean the restaurant was. I also know it was going to be a good visit with the trophy display. I decided to get the Smokehouse Burger with pulled pork. I also got fries. Food was great! We split a BLT, fries, a 2 meat platter with brisket, pulled pork, beans and slaw (Yummy!!) Food came home with us. A banana pudding cheesecake may have found its way into the bag, but I have no knowledge how that happened ?
