Was lucky to spend my birthday lunch with a favorite person (my mom) at a favorite spot. Since I was a child, traveling with my father in Japan, I have lived Unagi-Don. When I need to get a fix in Nashville, Peter's is the place. Rice is perfect and sticky, topped with flakes that add a bit of umami and perfectly sauced. Crowded, hopping, stimulating atmosphere. Sat at the bar and watched the chef show!I enjoyed my Thai Eggplant and will try it without added protein next time. For a meat eater this is a big moment for me. Yes, the eggplant is THAT good.

Food Pad Thai was quite flavorful, but the shrimp was overcooked. I did like how they gave free egg rolls, and those were crunchy, fresh, and fried well. Service This removed 1 star because our table was pretty much forgotten about. Then, when we finally ordered the food, it took a very long time to come to the table.
