We have eaten here 2 nights in a row. Everything we have tried has been INCREDIBLE!! The cook, Bryce, is only 22 years old and cooks like a veteran chef! The manager, Tim, is awesome. He treats you as family, not like ‘just another customer’. Our servers Jesse (1st night) and Chris (2nd night) were great! None of our glasses were ever empty. They were always attentive.The wings are a MUST! That Carolina Gold sauce is so good it could be its own drink.The salmon is PERFECT!If you go on Tuesday, you have to get the taco special! This Tuesday it was Salmon!You can not go wrong with any choice on the menu. If you are anywhere within a few hour radius, it will be well worth your drive.It is a very friendly, relaxing environment.This is, hands down, our family’s favorite restaurant EVER!!

Horrible service. The restaurant was not busy but our server stood looking out the window chatting with the hostess. The table next to us had to ask for the check twice and still waited a good while before it was presented.

Staff was chilly at best.They seated myself and my husband.My husband was the only one to get silverware.I got my own.Sat without service for 15min.While taking order, didn't ask if we wanted drinks.Sat without food for another 20.People sat after us got food before us.Had to ask twice for water.Only refilled my husband's.I clearly was on the 'Pay No Mind List.'Shouldn't be surprised that a restaurant called 1885 chose to be as 'Historically Accurate' in its service as it's name.The food is as bland as it's service.1 out of 10 - wouldn't recommend. Ever.

Given the location we wondered if this would be a touristy spot with average food, but it was definitely not. We sat at the bar and enjoyed MASSIVE $6 mimosas. I got the 1885 Burger which was crazy good (I'm not much of a burger person, either) and I got a side of mac and cheese which was maybe the best I've ever had in a restaurant. Friendly bar staff, cool location. It was very busy but everything was prompt.
