“This was my first visit. The menu isn't crazy large but there are plenty of good options. I got the shrimp and grits and was blown away. The shrimp was in a crazy good sauce and was over the creamiest grits ever. I'll definitely be back!“
“Just do it. Go and enjoy. Whether for coffee and a pastry or a breakfast skillet. This place is exceptional. Friendly staff, great food well presented and a really nice patio. Can't recommend this place enough. We travel up from Atlanta just for breakfast and it's worth every mile.“
“I am looking to potentially move to the Chattanooga area and this place caught my eye! Used books and coffee?! Yes please! I spoke with the owner/operator while I was ordering. She told me that her grandmother opened the store initially for used books, but those don't pay the bills (!) so when she sees people finding books here instead of just coming for the coffee that makes her so happy! There's lots of space and many different seating options. I recently started writing a book and this is the perfect place for that- or any work that needs to get done. Plus, $5 used books are a deal! I ACCIDENTALY got 7....and a latte. I'll be back for sure!! I put that I spent $1-10 for the coffee but I did buy 7 books. Just wanted to clarify!Parking: Free street parking! However, I came here on the heels of a winter storm, so there were not as many people out. Either way, it was easy to park.Kid-friendliness: There is a lot of space that is carpeted that would be great for kids to play on the ground. There are multiple different kinds of seating options too!Wheelchair accessibility: Lots of space between tables and plenty of room. On the first floor.“
“The absolute best donuts we have found. When we visit family out of state we have standing orders to bring donuts. They even have my caramel iced coffee and it is fabulous!!! Such a variety of donuts from the melt in your mouth glazed to donuts with so many icings and toppings it is a challenge to pick a favorite. Great music and atmosphere for taking your time and picking out the exact flavors for the day. The staff seem more like friends to us than simply people who work there. Always with a smile too.“
“My first time here at Duck Donuts, the staff was extremely warm and welcoming. They explained what the donuts were made out of (vanilla cake) and the various topping. I ended up getting a dozen. 5 Cinnamon Sugar, 1 Powered, 1 Maple bacon, 1 Vanilla latte,1 coffee cake, 1 peanut butter with peanuts, and then 2 espresso icing with Carmel drizzle. Needless to say, only about 4 of those actually made it out of the parking lot. They were extremely delicious. I recommend taking a peek at what they can do for you and your sweet tooth!“
“Traveling on a Monday we chose to stop at Real Roots for a late lunch with planned leftovers for dinner before checking into our hotel. The restaurant was pleasantly decorated and clean and the staff very pleasant and helpful. We were happy to find they had a dog-friendly patio because we were traveling with our little dog. It was a coolish spring day and were craving soup as an appetizer. My husband chose a cup of red lentil and quinoa chili, I chose a cup of the butternut squash soup. Both were perfectly spiced and beautifully presented. The chili was topped with micro greens and a cheesy sauce, the butternut squash soup was topped with sliced scallions. We both chose the recommended Chick-un burrito sandwich and tortilla chips- a filling and delicious main.“
“I was about to go to mad mug but saw the artwork on the wall and stopped here first.Absolutely adorable. I love the theme they have going and wish I picked up a shirt. (Didn't have what I wanted in large at the time)It was a little cramped when they were busy, and there's not a lot of seating, but the coffee was great. So it was worth the experience.“
“Stopped on way to aquarium and was pleasantly surprised to find an independent coffee shop. We ordered a cold, brew, cappuccinos, and a chai latte and every drink was spot on. Delicious! Coffee was rich and chocolaty -no burnt flavor! Barista was pleasant and helpful. Go buy their coffee and enjoy!“
“Everything was great , went 4 TIMES on a 8 day break .Shout out to Asley and Rachel from the Chapples!!!Awesome food and service .Vegetarian options: Too many to mention, well seasoned, loved every thing, will never go through Chattanooga with out stopping to eat there!“
“My wife can't eat gluten. This restaurant has a huge amount of gluten-free options. The fried chicken fingers she got tastes just like regular fried chicken fingers! The gluten-free fried green tomatoes were great too.Dietary restrictions: Tons of gluten-free options“
“The espresso martini mocktail might be my favorite drink anywhere, ever. I would have this as my morning coffee every day if I lived closer. The teas and coffees are all great too, but the mocktails are not to be missed! Lots of vegan and GF snackies available, fun decor, and most importantly- kind, talented staff. Love it here.“
“Being from Chattanooga and then moving away, Sleepy Head is always first on my list when I come back home. My favorite are the donuts and their matcha. My too year old loves them too!Dietary restrictions: Delicious gluten free and vegan donuts!“
“Very beautiful! And the coffee and food is amazing loved it so much. It seems a very popular place, because it was PACKED when we got there. No wait though, a few tables still open. They also have a to-go counter so you can just pop in and grab what you'd like. They have plenty of outdoor seating as well.“
“We went to support a fellow church member who was participating in a songwriters round robin singers night that started at 7pm on a Saturday night in downtown Chattanooga. So many very talented Christian music artists shared in 20 minute increments of uplifting songs that they wrote about living life with the saving presence of Jesus Christ in their hearts. The coffee and desserts served here are some of the best I've had in a while. Bring the whole family for an inspirational heart healing time with these local Christian artists! Thank you Cadence Coffee for your excellent hospitality!“
“Great place to sit and hang with friends! Super cute inside too! Staff was very kind! I’m a barista so I am picky about my coffee. I will say I got an iced latte and the flavor wasn’t well balanced in my opinion. My latte was pale in color if that makes sense. Good latte just needs to be stronger! But everything was fantastic and I would recommend this to some of my friends! ?“
“This was our families first visit and I will definitely be back! Will was amazing at helping us with our order, letting me try the best coffee I've had in awhile, before commuting to it. The food was awesome and the service was the icing on top!! Looking forward to our next Red Owl adventures. Thank you Will and your staff is the best ?“
“Such an amazing place. The highest of quality, FRESH, Biblically clean, homemade food for just a $1 or so more than a fast food meal. VERY reasonably priced for what you get. Great ambience and such kind staff. Can’t wait to return and try something else on their menu. We’ve had their Reuben, veggie burger, pesto Turkey sandwich and all beef Hot Dog, in addition to their granola and homemade soups and salads. They are all so good! Do yourself a favor and check it out.“
“The best crepes ever in all of my 62 years of living!! No kidding! I had the 1/2 and 1/2 and the first half was bacon egg and cheese. I forgot what it’s called on the menu. The sauce they put on top was so tasty that I asked Cindy the manager (actually I begged her) for the recipe. The second half was the berry crepe. Lordy Lordy ! I don’t even know which I liked the best. When it’s time to enter the Pearly Gates some day this is what God will be serving up! I told her how I was visiting from Texas and she was the kindest friendliest person ever! Cindy makes you want to come back and visit soon! My BFF lives in Chattanooga so we will definitely be coming back. If anyone is looking for the most delicious meal with the friendliest people it’s Adele’s Creperie! Thanks yall! Yippy Chi Yay!“
“Came here for some coffee making tools and stayed for some coffee and a treat. Bustling place and well stocked with brewing tools. Friendly in spite of the rush. DELICIOUS scone! Not too sweet but short (crunchy) at the edges and tender interior. Scone perfection IMO. No baking powder after taste and no glaze embellishment.“
“BeCaffeinated is one of my favorite coffee shops in Chattanooga. I have always had the most pleasant and welcoming experiences at any of their locations (I have been to each one.. multiple times). As much as I love their coffee and enjoying the outdoor seating at the Northshore location, what I love most about BeCaff. is their involvement with the community. Each month the shop hosts giveback days, which I think is totally incredible. Not only that, they offer their space to be used by other community partners and are always involved in something within the community. I know some argue that local coffee shops charge too much, but I will stand by my decisions to support BeCaff because it is evident they are investing in the community, not just a chain trying to make a profit. BeCaffeinated feels like something larger than a local coffee shop, they truly are an incredible member of the community! You guys are one of the things that makes me love Chattanooga! Also, I love that I can bring my dog and hang out on the patio, or pick up a coffee before we walk around the park.“
“We arrived as the shop was locking up at closing time, and the owners kindly invited us in and said they didn’t want to disappoint our kids. They did not rush us even though they were staying late to take care of us, and this really made a special experience for our family on our trip to “
“I went in on a Saturday afternoon to get some work done.I enjoyed my chai latte- not too sweet which I enjoyed.Fast service, clean bathrooms, and plenty of space to enjoy your cup of coffee.Parking: Just a few spots behind the building but you may be able to park by the church building next door.“
“if you want to sit and do homework, chill with a beverage, or shop local, this is the spot for it all! it’s such a vibe in here, so welcoming and spot on soundtrack. bonus big windows to feel as though you’re outside without actually sweating your weiner off . love it here!!“
“Love the great balance between phenomenal traditional coffee AND creative twists! I always ask baristas for their favorite drinks to expand my horizons and I was recommended the cortado…before noticing the lemonade coffee with pea tea ice cubes!! Naturally, I ordered both and was doubly impressed. The cortado was exquisite; the aroma and taste was an absolute sensory joy! Having recently discovered coffee lemonades, I was further made a fan and Velo’s addition of pea tea cubes gave it a fun twist. This coffee shop will surely be a go-to recommendation for all my coffee snob friends and the adventurous alike.“
“I'm just gonna come out and say it: I LOVE Lola Beans. I only found out about it a week ago and I've been every day since to pick up my morning coffee, even though it's not on the way to my work. Their menu is extensive, to say the least, and they let you customize your drink with all sorts of flavors and options that you don't find anywhere else, which makes it a way better value than some of the more corporate coffee brewers around the area. More importantly, their drive-thru is FAST, with baristas coming over to your car to take your order before you reach the window. They even take Apple Pay and have a rewards program, so I find it hard to go anywhere else when I've got just a few minutes to make my commute, get some coffee, and go back to work. The place itself is also very cute, perched up on the hill going down East Brainerd in a hard-to-miss spot.“
“i work from home so i don’t get coffee out and about that often anymore but if i feel like having something a little more special than my at-home coffee i really like coming here. i’m not much of a coffee snob and i think if this place more for “treat” type coffee rather than “the working man’s” cup of coffee if you know what i mean, but it’s not over-the-top i-can-feel-a-cavity-forming sweet, and they’re really good about adjusting the sweetness level if you ask. honestly i didn’t feel compelled to write a review because of the coffee as much as i do because of the service. i’ve been here about a dozen times - maybe more - at times ranging from 5am to late afternoon and even though i’ve had a different barista almost every time, the people working here are always ~particularly~ nice. i wonder if it’s all the caffeine lol. anyway, always a pleasant experience and the blended chai tea latte (+ espresso shot) is delicious, would recommend.“
“I don’t live in this neighborhood, and I had no idea it was here, until the Chattanooga Coffee Week, and the Instagram posts introduced me to them. This is such a great little coffee shop, very pretty, and in a neighborhood location close to local hospitals. In addition, the latte is very tasty and the barista was sweet. I’ll definitely be back.“
“Food: well the coffee was delicious! I had a coupon so I got a free latte and I chose the hazelnut bliss with oat milk. Delicious. Only complaint is the price. I definitely can’t see myself coming back regularly and spending $5.50 for a small. The actual food on the other hand, wasn’t too great. Everything bagel was homemade (so plus for that) but was incredibly salty and pretty dense. The blueberry muffin was also pretty mediocre. That being said… this is a coffee shop, not a food cafe so it’s less important to me that these aren’t so great.Service: people were so friendly, I just wish they took order at the speaker so you don’t order at the window and sit while they make everything. It makes the drive thru take much longer.“
“I had driven in from Nashville to purchase something and ended up here with the seller for a coffee/tea this past Saturday.I was amazed by the size of it, the Church and also the kindness and friendly nature of the owner, who told me he is a guitarist as well. There is a lot of space here for reasonably sized group meets too. I plan to bring my family back on our next visit to Chattanooga.“
“Scooter's Coffee has become my go-to place for a delightful coffee experience. What sets them apart is their exceptional customer service. The staff is always warm, friendly, and attentive, making every visit enjoyable. The coffee itself is of excellent quality, with a range of options to suit different preferences. My personal favorite is their Raspberry Energy Infusion that never fails to perk me up. And let's not forget about their everything bagel - it's well, everything you need for a quick breakfast bite! I highly recommend Scooter's Coffee to anyone seeking a fantastic coffee and a pleasant experience.“
“Absolutely great place to get coffee! This shop is located inside of a hotel but still is great small coffee shop to go to. The barista there was testing different ways of making coffee and giving it the tests to customers to try. Also asked me a few more questions than usual to try and find a latte that would suit me. The atmosphere isn’t the best compared to others but the location and coffee are incomparable to a lot of cafes I have been to.“
“We have been looking for a good coffee place in the Chattanooga area, and even though it was over an hour+ drive, it was definitely worth it. My boyfriend got a Latte and he absolutely loved it. He said the coffee was very flavorful, and the milk was frothed perfectly. They also served the coffee in the most gorgeous little blue cups. The staff was very friendly and sweet. The whole vibe of this coffee shop was just so relaxing. There’s tables and couches for you to sit on, wether you’re enjoying a coffee date, or just going there to study or do some work on your laptop. Overall, such a nice little coffee place that we can’t wait to visit again!“
“I come here often to work or on a coffee dates with my husband. The turtle mocha is one of my favorite coffees in the city. Breakfast burrito is simple and delicious. Great location with plenty of seating and a good view upstairs. But I’m begging you Stone Cup, please PLEASE vacuum and mop upstairs before I drag my vacuum over to do it myself.Parking: A few spots reserved for this location, paid lot across the street.“
“My wife & I visited here to take a break from researching spots for our BBQ food truck. The baristas were so friendly! They answered my questions about different beverages and offered suggestions. The London Fog w/ lavender is the bomb dot com! We'll definitely be back!“
“Much like all the other stories on here, I drive by everyday and finally decided to stop. I drink black coffee everyday and I’ve never realized how bitter gas station coffee is until now. The lady at the window was very helpful in helping me pick my coffee as I’m a coffee shop noob. This stuff is the bomb dot com and surprisingly affordable. 100% will be back“
“Great spot for breakfast that was within walking distance of our hotel. Wife and I loved our iced coffees and the breakfast items were good too. I got a bacon & egg burrito that came with salsa and wife & daughter got blueberry muffins. All very good and fresh. They also have a nice drive thru if that fits your need.“
“A friend and I had brunch one Sunday afternoon. It was perfect weather to sit outside on their patio area. I had the French Toast Breakfast (pictured) with vanilla cream cheese in the middle of the toast and strawberries ? and their homemade whip cream. It was amazing! Lots of yumminess! To drink, I had the most amazing hot tea ☕️, lavender, and blueberry (pictured). Both of those really complimented each other in taste. Did not put sugar in my tea. It was perfect without it. I mean, look at the pictures and see how beautiful they both look as well. ??❤️??? The tea smelled so good, too.My friend had the Nutella croissant with a cold coffee (forgot the flavor and didn't get a picture of either ?♀️?♀️). But my friend stated it was very good. It looked all good. ?? I will end with we both had great customer service all around! Everyone was so kind and nice, even during the busiest time on a Sunday afternoon. I will definitely be going back. It's located in one beautiful area of Chattanooga, TN.“
“I can only assume by your cavalier attitude that you have yet partake in the wonderment that is the Culture Coffee Co. Allow me to enlighten you. What happens is the one true God grows Arabica beans on trees in the Elitian fields using a mystical incantation, He then proceeds to magic them down to your local coffee place where whatever societal reject Culture Coffee Co. has rescued off the dole that week gently caresses them in a grinder, brews them and passes them along to you, the fortunate consumer. You proceed to ingest this finery in the vain hope that your obviously overmatched tastebuds can somehow comprehend the delectable intricacies that face them. Is that Carmel? Why yes, yes it is. And frothy milk too. But wait, did they...? They didn't. Yes, they did, they did indeed. They added whipped cream. And then, then my friend, they wrapped it in a togo cup. As your tastebuds try to process that amazing piece of information, it hits them: the Caffeine. The motherfluffing Caffeine. It announces itself with a burst of confectionery grandiosity the likes of which your pallet has never seen!“
“Family Reunion of 50 people at this wonderful Downtown Chattanooga hotel was fantastic! Rooms were clean, spacious and modern. Beds comfy. Food for our Banquet was hot, tasty, and safely served Buffet Style. Entire staff was friendly and professional. Highly recommended!“
“This place is a gem. I’m still sipping on my iced coffee as I write this review. It’s so delicious that I felt inclined to leave a review as soon as possible. The customer service was amazing! The shop was aesthetically pleasing and the coffee itself was immaculate. I will gladly be back several days a week to binge on their coffee. Don’t judge me.“
“Visiting Chattanooga for the first time. Wanted to have some good coffee and what a coincidence my wife suggested Mean Mug Coffee House and it did not disappoint. Had a French Press coffee and it was amazing. I highly recommend this Coffee House.“
“Being walking distance from my office I meet clients here whenever I’m needing to meet a new client outside of the office. Staff is friendly. Atmosphere is calming. Food is great. Drinks are great. I always get the horchata steamer, best drink ever. Definitely recommend it. Seating can be difficult at times if they are busy. If your alone, othen times you can snag a seat an occupied table without issue.“
“Such a refreshing change from "the usual" -- a nice QUIET coffee shop ideal for studying or writing. Instrumental jazz music plays on the overhead, while the cafe features a friendly and attentive staff. Great coffee and small bites to help you get through your day are also highlights. * (Reasonably priced, as well!)Parking: A small lot wraps around the back. There is also plenty of street parking free of charge.“
“Went early on a Saturday just after 8pm opening, not a smoker and hoped to beat the fog bank that can develop with multiple smokers, cover was around $10 and one drink purchase, I don't do alcohol and opted for a coke zero, it was flat and owner/manager heard and replaced with no problems, the bar tender/cashier Dahlia was a cute petite lady and does dance as well and I got what was a nice private room dance but despite enjoying myself I guess she didn't because as soon as the song ended she had her crocs on and was out the room, I was going to get a few more songs but didn't get a chance to ask, had a beautiful lady Trixie talk and enjoy some small talk with her got several dances from her and she was wonderful, had a dance from a couple other women and enjoyed them as well. As the name indicates it is a bikini bar so all dancers were covered with bikinis, no nudity but I still had a nice time. There were about 8 to 12 different dancers and a wide assortment from petite little treats, bbw, small breasts and large, 5' to close to 6' tall. Will be back.“
“Highly recommend the royal sundae. The service was friendly and fast. The ice cream itself wasn't particularly special in my opinion, but the toppings and blondie made it fantastic. I took off a star for being overpriced imo ($17 for a shared sundae)“
“The hotel is unique! Check-in is at the bar! Stayed here with girlfriends and enjoyed the delightful lobby with multiple seating areas designed in boho fashion. We were given a $10 token to be used for a specialty drink at the bar or their coffee shop (which wasn't open until the next morning). The "bartender/check-in gal" was most helpful and very friendly. Our room (for 3) was adequate although not very functional. Two queen beds sit back to back which looks "fun" but in reality was not very conducive for us. The decor is cool, pegs line one wall to hang clothes, bags, etc. since there is no closet or dresser. The room appears smaller than most with a narrow layout. There is no refrigerator in the room. Ice may be obtained at the bar as there are no ice machines available. An "ironing" room is located on each floor. I would find this extremely inconvenient if I had been a business traveler! The bathroom was lovely and very clean and modern. I particularly liked the walk-in shower. The hotel has one cart for customers to use to help with luggage. My one complaint is the lack of parking. We returned to the hotel at 9:00 pm and had trouble finding a space. We ended up parking in their auxiliary lot which was further from the hotel and very inconvenient. The hotel is close enough to walk to many restaurants, coffee shops, etc. Overall the stay was good, fun decor and pleasant staff!“
“The cutest place to visit!!!! The café is very cozy with two big rooms for the cats to roam. They have all types of beds, cubby holes and cabinets for the cats. They have couches and chairs for the adults. Very clean and no cats odors. The cats are 99.9% lovable and friendly. Since some are recovering from surgery, one or two may not feel well and choose to find a spot to sleep and be left alone. There are plenty of other cats walking up to you wanting to be petted. However they do not swarm you for attention. Its like they feel at home and come and go as they please. Very calm environment. There is another room with a café/gift shop with coffee, water, sodas and sweets. They have t-shirts and souvenirs as well. The owners are very accommodating and happy to talk about their cats. They never mention adoption, but there are books available with cat portfolios if you are interested. It is great that they limit the visit to an hour, otherwise you would never leave. It's like kitty heaven. Honestly, this is a must visit when you come to Chattanooga.“
