The food was very good, nice atmosphere. My only complaint was how hot the dining room was. But the mgr was very good to fix it. I'll probably be back sometime.

I come in here all the time to make to go plates because I prefer the variety o er going to a rypical restaurant. It's my favorite place to do it. I like them better than their competition (Asia Buffet) because they have things the other place doesn't such as roast pork buns and fried dumplings. They also have great fried cheese wonton instead of fake crab rangoon as well as Ramen noodles so you can affectively make a Ramen bowl for much cheaper than restaurants charge. Very reasonably priced as well.

This is about as good as a buffet gets! I’ve been a germaphobe since before the pandemic so the only thing I would appreciate would be the addition of gloves to their location. Otherwise, the pros outweigh the cons. This place is super affordable and full of variety.

DISCUSTING!!! Today Sunday March 10 2024 I went to Forbiden City restaurant. While I was waiting for my hibachi plate, I saw a waiter tall slim with glasses going to the restroom, he was wearing blue latex gloves. He did not removed his apron neither THE BLUE LATEX GLOVES! after fewer minutes he came out with the same gloves on his hands???

The coconut shrimp is the reason my girlfriend drags me here once a week. Even though I'm not the biggest fan of this kind of food, I always manage to find something tasty, and I always manage to enjoy a few plates. Their sushi is about as good as it gets around here for self-serve all you can eat.

My son and I ate lunch here and the variety of food is unbelievable. They have a huge dessert bar, where you may choose fresh fruits or numerous types of baked goods and puddings. They have a lot of choices for people and there are several types of seafood dishes and meat dishes. The decor is nice too.

The worst staff. Rude.Very disrespectful to my group. Not kind to anyone with disabilities. If I could give a negative star I would. They refuse to set 9 people and a baby at a table big enough. They insist for us to fit in a 6 person table which ultimately split us up all together for room purposes. I don’t recommend this place anymore regardless of the food. Unpleasantly surprised.

Venturing into Chattanooga's Forbidden City Chinese Buffet is less about breaching ancient taboos and more about unlocking a treasure trove of culinary delights that could rival the riches of any emperor's palace. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted not just by the staff, whose friendliness and efficiency are so legendary they must surely practice it in some secret dojo, but also by an ambiance so clean and inviting it makes you wonder if "Forbidden" was just a clever ploy to keep all this goodness a secret. The buffet itself is a gastronomic journey through the best of Chinese cuisine, with a full sushi bar where the sushi rolls are so fresh, you'd swear they were still contemplating their life choices in the ocean moments before. The Mongolian grill sizzles with possibilities, each dish a fiery testament to your own culinary daring. Here, you're not just a guest; you're the maestro of your own meal, orchestrating a symphony of flavors that dance harmoniously on your palate. But what's an empire without its treasures? The full dessert bar at Forbidden City is the jewel in the crown. It's where calories are not so much counted as they are celebrated, with an array of sweets that could easily seduce even the most disciplined of warriors. The humor in the name "Forbidden" becomes apparent as you dive into this buffet extravaganza. It's as if the only thing truly forbidden is leaving hungry or unsatisfied. In a city brimming with dining options, the Forbidden City Chinese Buffet stands out not just as a meal, but as an experience – a place so good, it should probably be kept a secret. But like all great wonders of the world, its splendor is meant to be shared. Just maybe not with your dietitian.

It is an all you can eat buffet. The sushi bar is my favorite. It is not the greatest sushi, but it is good. I love the hibachi section. I enjoy making it myself and picking my sauce. They always have a worker refilling any food items that are low. The pictures I took were right before closing, so some might seem empty, but this generally isn't the case. They have a desert bar and ice cream station. If you are in the mood to eat a bunch, this would be a good place. If not, I would just recommend going to a better restaurant that serves plates... would probably be better quality food.Kid-friendliness: Always kids here and doesn't seem to bother the people that come if they can't sit still or are a bit loud.
