Always a great time !

I was just banned after five years of being a regular, and rather than letting us take our mugs Joel wrote us a check for $500. Keep that in mind before you donate to one of their “crowdfunding” campaigns ?

This is a smaller brewery but so less amazing. We have been here a million times and are in love. The bar tenders are always so nice and welcoming and patient when I can’t decide. The room with the bar tends to get more crowded and loud but the second room is very spacious and has great local art. We always come on Wednesdays for pint night and do a puzzle and wouldn’t want to go anywhere else to spend a few hours drinking and puzzling. Or has become the gold standard of breweries for us. You won’t find a place like this anywhere else.

A must see brewery in Chattanooga!!! Savannah was our bartender and she was great! Very knowledgeable about the brews and fun to talk to! The Red Blend Sour and the Nitro Vanilla stout were our favorites. Bring a sticker to add to the wall, ours was still there 3 years later!

Nice place to have a drink and chill. Great service! I'm always looking for basecamp blonde in Cleveland and find it sometimes. One of my favorites so I wanted to visit the establishment.

Wow, Chattanooga has the beers. Hutton & Smith is a must stop. Really like the Golden Sour. We had a flite and everything we chose had a good bold flavor. Flite included the sour, stout, gose, and the seasonal Christmas beer. Dog friendly!! Great place.

Best beer in town - hands down. Wide range from IPAs, to barrel aged sours, to cozy stouts!

They had the “closed” sign in the window more than an hour and a half before they closed. However, Oddstory has great beers! Super friendly!

I have no clue why this place doesn't have a full on five star rating. When we asked our Beer Society group what breweries to visit while we were in the Chattanooga area at the top of everyone's list was Hutton & Smith. Now, we only did two but we sure were happy with this being one of them (and the best one). Per usual, we had two flights starting with the lighter beers on the menu and closing out with the Walter's Revenge DIPA and there were so many more we could have tried but dared not since this was our second brewery for the night. We had every intention of coming back the following night, but after a full day of touring historic battlefields and then down to Dalton and trying out the local brewery there, we just didn't have it in us to run back up to Chattanooga in the evening. We'll just have to do that for our next trip up. Just down the street from another brewery/tap room location (Oddhouse's the Greenhouse) this is in the old downtown area of Chattanooga not too far from the "historic district". With such a grand name one might expect it to be one of those corporate glass and steel locations, but this is is a nano brewery residing in what might be called a "hole in the wall", which is just my type of place. No pretension here, and prompt and knowledgeable service, we almost immediately were made to feel like regulars (which I wish we could be). No food, so plan to eat before you come or after you've had your fill - but if the latter, watch out because there is a lot of great beer to "fill" up on! Definitely check these folks out!!

If you’re a geologist who likes beer (usually a given) it’s a must visit

Awesome brewery. One of my favorites. I love the barley wine and the Velvet Imperial Stout. I like drinking at breweries that take pride in their beer and are willing to allow you to sample as many as possible before deciding on a favorite. Comfortable seating, great company and most of all great beer.
