Heard about DL from friends whose daughter was gluten-sensitive. My wife has Celiac, and we decided to enjoy a drive from North Alabama to Columbia for her birthday. We made a fairly large order 'to go', including two large cinnamon rolls, two chocolate chip cookies, and a slice of cheesecake 'to share'. This place was a dream come true for my husband with celiac disease. He hasn’t been able to have cinnamon rolls for a very long time, and not only were they the best cinnamon rolls we had, they are 100% gluten free along with everything else there. It’s so frustrating to go to a restaurant and see something you want, but you can’t have it. Here, everything you see, you can have. The Dotted Lime is the best kept secret in all of Tennessee. Being both gluten and dairy-free, I had many food options available to me that I have not seen elsewhere since my diet became restricted. To be able to enjoy a cinnamon roll that looks like something right out of a bakery case was amazing! I wish their dining room had been a little bigger and a little cooler, but I guess it adds to the atmosphere.
