Please give Chef Edgar a pay raise to ensure his employment...his food is absolutely amazing! Our steaks were cooked to perfection which my daughter was very impressed with as she is a picky eater. She said her steak had a nice char and was deliciously juicy even as a medium-well steak. We will definitely be back!“
“My review, the bbq beef, was probably the best I've ever had. It was tender and not full of fat and gristle like at most bbq joints. The potato salad reminded me of my grandma's. The baked beans were sneaky. On the first bite, I wasn't thrilled, but then the flavor hit me. There were shreds of beef that were like little gifts from God. The Texas toast was the exact exclamation point to a fantastic lunch. The staff is very friendly and the prices are fare and won't break the bank. Now, if they just served tequila, they'd be the perfect bbq joint!“

We also appreciated how accommodating the staff was about me continually calling to increase our order and helping us get the right amount of food. Great service!“

“My daughter loves BBQ and while on spring break this past weekend. I decided to surprise her with BBQ after a long day at several attractions. Every single thing we ordered was incredible. Ribs well seasoned and tender, macaroni appropriate amount of cheesy goodness, potato salad light and refreshing and baked beans were sweet with a touch of smokiness. “Best brisket I've had since Texas or KC! The ribs were fantastic too with an amazing dry rub but with brisket this good that's the route I recommend. Go for the greens as a side. Staff is passionate about their BBQ and their customers, and it's easy to believe this is the best BBQ in Chattanooga.“
“First time ordering here. Ordered one beef taco and one tongue taco. It was over $9 which was a little more than I would like to pay for two tacos but they were fantastic!! The tortillas are freshly made and whoa. Big difference in taste from. The store bought. I wish I would have ordered another one. They were kind of small. “Well, my first time here as well as in Chattanooga, TN. Hubby had heard of the spot from friends a year ago. If you a scaredy-cat tourist, the place will look sketchy as heck. I'm from NY and living in GA for over 8 years I learned about the best establishments, be them hole in the wall places! Anyway, you pull up and chef outside on the grill, smoking it up! When you get to the door it reminds me of one of those old liquor stores you ain't got no business being in as a kid. Push in the door and that BBQ small hits your belly hard. It's a small spot they got about 4 tables inside but it's cozy. Menu looks legit. Our family 3 had a variety of selections hot dog and mac n cheese for the kid, I had the wings, green beans and slaw and hubby had a pork sandwich baked beans and potatoes salad!. I was able to get the green beans because they use turkey. I was salivating but disappointed. They were peppery and bland, but baby my slaw and wings were finger licking the whole time good. The wings were a little tiny but VERY tasteful. The kid ate all of his food and he a picky eater, plus he don't eat everyone's mac n cheese. Let's just say no morsel was left behind. My hubby said everything was good he meant to get me the potato salad and him the coleslaw his error my pleasure. He don't eat potato salad but decided to try it, why he couldn't stop eating it! Then, he had the nerve to ask these people, " who made the potato salad?" Glad we sat and stayed and enjoyed it all, they seem to be a family business giving the business with this BBQ. The bonus was customer service was all that and then some!“

“We went at a weird time, it was near closing before July 4th holiday. We had decided to go after finding out another place was closed. I'm sure the owners weren't thrilled with us coming at that time! But I'm really thankful they were willing to take our order, and though the selection was limited at that point, they gave us extra food. “We enjoyed our lunch at The Purple Daisy. The service was quick, we got there right at opening on a Monday, and were able to seat ourselves immediately. The servers all helped each other out and were quick to ask if we wanted refills. They were accommodating for our kid who wanted a chili dog which wasn’t on the menu. The hashbrown casserole is the best I’ve ever had. The ribs were a dry rub and good, but better with their sweet sauce. They don’t offer French fries which is a bit odd, but not a deal breaker. They have both indoor & outdoor seating. We will definitely be back in future trips to Chatt!“

Was wary about stopping in so close to close, staff were thrilled to have me and there was not “great here’s a customer right before we close” attitude some of you may have experienced at other restaurants. Food was great. Staff was friendly. I order the family meal bundle. Pulled pork, slaw, Mac n Cheese, banana pudding, collard greens and green beans. Everything was delicious. Banana pudding deserves 5 stars by itself. Pork was moist and hot. Kids finished an entire large serving by themselves. I got one bite, and that one bit was delicious. Definitely not box Mac n cheese. Slaw was great. Very crispy and not soggy like some I’ve had that was premade and sitting in fridge for days. Collard greens were very unique, they had a sweet, slightly Smokey flavor with a bit of spice. I’ve never had collard greens with this flavor profile and it caught me off guard, yet the flavors work and even the kids enjoy it. Green beans were solid as ever. Definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for some quality BBQ in the Soddy area.“

The food was excellent!Big Dan himself came out and talked with me a while and told me how many large companies that he has been catering for. “Nice folks but we did not like their pulled pork at all. It had zero seasoning and a weird cardboard flavor. The brisket was tender but had zero smoke flavor. It was still super delicious on a sandwich. Potato salad and banana pudding were good.“
