Everything I’ve tried here is absolutely delicious and the service is wonderful as well (I ordered take out tonight and they brought my order out before I could even call to let them know I was there!). “First time eating at the cafe. We were surprised at the crowd. Not too many but enough to let you know it’s good. My wife and I really enjoyed our lunch. Excellent food, excellent service. Room is a bit noisy and some attention could be paid to noise abatement but the overall experience was wonderful. A defiant must try.“

“One of the first things I noticed was portions are a sensible size. The food is so good, it would seem a shame to eat it too quickly. The coffee was really good, the servers were friendly, respectful, and seemed to CARE about their food interactions with customers. These are the most important things to me. The coffee was excellent too, which is rare, you usually get one or the other. Highly recommend.“
“We always enjoy Cootie Brown’s campus location. Fantastic servers and great food. Great for small or large party of guests. We also love that they use the text notifications so you can wait in your car on the chilly days. Everything I’ve had here is good. But my favorite go-to meal is their Key Lime Chicken, which I get with the honey roasted sweet potatoes and roasted artichoke sautéed spinach. They have a huge menu and lots to choose from for everyone’s different tastes. Highly recommend.“
“Great little unassuming bar & grill with friendly locals, more than adequate food, and bartenders who know their stuff. Daily specials are generally in the $8-$12 range (Friday special was catfish, which I had; see pic). Also has an outdoor patio with food service.A decent selection of beers on tap (I’m an IPA man, and they had Lagunitas, which is good enough). Easy to strike up conversations; classic rock on the soundtrack, and very relaxing atmosphere. What’s not to like?“
“Historic venue. Quaint and very rustic. (Bring a seat cushion ?). Four of us went Friday evening for songwriter showcase featuring Ron Short and Friends. Ron is great! Various artists on different nights so check their FB page for schedule. Down Home serves a small hors d'oeuvre type menu and beverages if you want. If you have never been there, you owe it yourself to go.“
“Seat yourself, be prepared to freeze while you eat. Wait staff was young and attentive, would like to see them in a uniform of sorts not shorts and yoga pants. My dad voted a 4 for tastiness and flavor, coffee was hot fresh, he would go back and says way better then the chain CB down the road. Hubby says he likes it and scored it a four. My mom rates is as a 4. Now let’s get down to business, I thought the brown gravy was slightly pasty and the pancakes were missing something.The hash-browns were cooked with perfection and for sure if I go back I’ll just ask for them to make me a potato bowl. I was however surprised as we walked out to peep inside the fridge and the amount of condiment bottle blew me away. That’s one thing that scares me personally how does one keep track of when they opened it if there were no labels with dates.The mamaw in back with a kitchen towel around her neck made me feel right at home, however each person keeps house differently, keep that in mind before you judge.You will need to ask for a knife they don’t give those out, must have something to do with the location.“

“Honestly a great Waffle House location. Been here twice within a couple of weeks because my Fiance and I have a habit of having breakfast/brunch out on our days off together. Had the idea to do Waffle House since it had been a long time for either of us, and it hit the spot! So much so that we came back again the following week. It's simple food but always good. “I love Pal's! They are always prompt, no matter how busy they are. My food is consistently the same, good quality no matter which location I use, and I have never once gotten the wrong order. Plus, they give my dog treats, so obviously she loves Pal's too! If forced to make a complaint, I would say that their biscuits are a bit crumbly and not very conducive to eating in the car.Parking: There are three or four parking spaces located at the front of the store, one of which is handicapped.“
“Had dinner here the other night. The Outlaw Ribeye is scrumptious. Both the hubs and I ordered it with just some minor changes (meat temp and sides). This steak is good for dinner tonight and tomorrow. By the time you eat a salad, half of a potato and half a steak, you are not feeling deprived.We got on the wait-list before we left home. We drove from the next town over, so timing was good. It's worth the drive and the money.“

“I love Harbor House other than their salads (because they use cheap shredded lettuce instead of something better) and Mozzarella Sticks. The Mozzarella Sticks are definitely a cheap frozen brand from the grocery store that barely have cheese in them.I definitely recommend any of their seafood platters, chicken tenders, buffalo chicken sandwich, sweet potato, coleslaw, ranch, honey mustard, Ribeye, fries, baked potato, Chocolate Butterfinget Cake, hush puppies, salmon, and etc. The service (dine-in and takeout) is always wonderful! I've ordered takeout 3 times, and everything was perfect, and every sauce and fork we asked for was in the bag. Everything is delicious and cooked perfectly. Dine-in and takeout doesn't take very long to receive, so you're not waiting what seems like forever for your dinner to come out. Highly recommend!“

“Had lunch here yesterday March 19 I had the chicken tenders, they were really great, the croissants were amazing. My girlfriend had the Monte crisco she said it was the best she's had in a long time. Sweet tea was good our waitress Kaylee did a great job, kept our drinks filled kept checking on us and offered desert she was very nice and friendly, made the lunch even better. Will be back“
“First of all, be informed that they do not serve alcohol. Parking was easy. The staff was friendly and helpful; 5 star service. A full rack of ribs was thoroughly enjoyed along with some sweet tea. Carolina Pulled Pork sandwich was very good too. The iconic firetruck in the lobby was really cool and it's my understanding is still used for parades, etc. I don't think they take reservations so you may have to wait a bit. Price point was super good too!“
“We had some family in visiting and decided it was high time to try Watauga Brewing. I had sampled a couple of their beers on guest taps. It was nice to go in and have more variety! The only downside to the beer were no dar selections. A brown, Porter or stout would have been nice for those who love the dark beers. Everyone ordered burgers. I had the brewers burger and did the ups charge for the jalapeño grits. All of us loved our burgers! They were pricey but tasty! We tried all their beers and the Czech beer was the fave. The highlight of the whole experience was our beertender/server Dylan. He was knowledgeable about the beers and food suggestions. He was attentive but not over bearing. He was just awesome! We asked him to be in the family photo we took to commemorate our visit! Can’t wait to go back and try more of the food menu and hoping they get some more fall beers and dark beers on tap!“
“I don't know if it's new people or new management, this store was notorious for slow service and low quality food. However, the food was exactly how we ordered it and the service was amazing and fast. our server was so quick and our food and drinks were perfect and my daughter NEVER had a empty soda glass ( almost unheard-of at this store ) IF I could I would only want this server unfortunately I do not remember her name or I would name her , I did tell the manager whata fantastic job she did“
