“I eat her often and keep coming back because of 3 bartenders. Emily, Presley, and Teon. They are simply the BEST!!!! Their kindness and amazing service make my experience there worthwhile every time and make me want to keep coming back for more. LOVE THEM!! Best bartenders ever!!!!“
“The perfect locally-owned diner experience which is hard to find nowadays, very friendly staff and owners too. I made it in right before they switched to lunch at 1030, and I ordered the Meat Lovers bowl with a side of biscuits and gravy.Watched the cook make my breakfast, she was very quick and put together everything effortlessly. The fried potatoes were crispy, the various meat was amazing, the cheese on top had a melty pull to it. Eat the massive bowl in minutes, and then devoured the biscuits and gravy. No complaints there either, very good. There's a reason the parking lot is full anytime of day, it's simply one of the last great diners in the area. Before I left they were smashing patties on the griddle for lunch and it smelled amazing, I can't wait to come back and try lunch!Parking: A few dozen spots and they keep it moving, full midday before lunch rush.Wheelchair accessibility: Depending if you can park up front, just a small curb and no steps into the doorway. No steps inside.“
“Stock & Barrel had about a 30 minute wait for our party of 3 at 6pm on a Wednesday. Once we sat down and tasted the food, we realized why this Knoxville gem was so popular. We started off with the Opa!, which is a uniquely grilled hunk of feta covered in honey. What a fabulous tasty appetizer this was. Warm and crispy feta is something we've never had before and the honey added such a sweet touch. I tried to save a piece for after the meal, but my wife and I couldn't stop and finished the whole thing before the real food arrived. For my meal, I got the tomato salad with a salmon patty on top. It's a plate loaded with tomatoes soaked in balsamic flavor. Absolutely delicious and fresh. And the salmon patty was crispy on the outside and soft and luscious on the inside, with fresh salmon taste. I don't have salmon patties/burgers often, but this was the best one I've ever had.For a Wednesday night, service was kinda slow, but it was awfully crowded. We see that as a good thing for a local restaurant to be so busy mid week. But just go in expecting to wait a bit, both for a table and for your order to be taken and delicious food to be delivered. For such a huge bar, I was disappointed in the beer choices. I was given 3 to choose from on tap. But my wife was impressed with the bourbon and whiskey selections. And she absolutely loved the look of the bar, saying she wants to install something similar at home. We'll see about that.If you are looking for a hearty meal in a cool atmosphere in downtown Knoxville and you have a bit of time, Stock & Barrel is definitely a recommended choice.Vegetarian options: Our 12 year old pescatarian did just fine, but there weren't a lot of choices.Parking: The garage next door was very full, we ended up on the top floor. But because of the slow service, we ended up leaving after 8 which meant we didn't have to pay for the garage!“
“What a great find! I was just driving to Charlotte and stopped over in Knoxville. This place was great! Good service. The wings were good and the beer selection was outstanding. My bartender, Katie, was so friendly and helpful, I hope to come back!“
“Service at 71 South was excellent, but the food could be better especially for vegan guests. The cauliflower steak had a charred outside, yet the inside was undercooked and hard, with minimal steak sauce. Vegan options rely on seasoning, and while I appreciate the offerings, I suggest boiling, searing the cauliflower or baking until soft, and enhancing it with plenty of seasoning and sauce. I'd consider returning for that improved preparation or additional vegan options. We want a good experience too! Thank you.“
“Always a fun event here. Staff always cool and attentive, but not bothersome. Food is also good, but the atmosphere and fun to be had are unmatched. I don't drink, but the nerdy themed drinks I see coming out always make me consider starting.“
“A great place for a nice bite to eat. A little pricy, but the food is worth it. I sat at the bar because I was by myself. Service could have been a little quicker, but other than that I have nothing to complain about.I had the Cuban sliders & fries cause I was just stopping in for lunch.“
“I’ve come here a few times and every single time I’ve been treated great. When I go I look forward to getting to catch up with everyone. Prince, Brandon, Sherry, and Kristina do a great job and always make us feel welcomed. With that being said, there’s something special about the servers and bartenders in this restaurant. I’ll be back soon!“
“Was able to share great food and service with some customers! I had the meatloaf which was amazing! Others in the party had the fish n chips, flatiron steak, and cajun pasta. Everyone loved it! They have quite the extensive whiskey list and I was excited to see that they will be carrying one of my favorites soon, Pursuit Spirits Bourbon and Sherry Rye! I cant recommend this place enough!“
“Placed an order online and went to pick it up in the “curd-side” pickup (the name is adorable). Service was fast and my food was accurate and very fresh. The cheese curds are so good and my burger was perfect.Parking: I got curbside and there were a couple of spaces for that. But if I were to dine in, the parking lot seemed very full.“
“This place is wonderful! The food is delicious and they have something for everyone here. We love D&B!Kid-friendliness: They gave my little girl 3 sheets of stickers to keep her busy while eating. She ended up spilling her drink and before I even had a chance to get up one of the staff was at our side moving our food to another table and cleaning the mess up.“
“Great little place that supports our military. I had a cheeseburger which was very good, my wife had a Philly cheese steak which was top notch. Our server whose name was Sarah was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return and recommend to others.“
“I'm traveling around Knoxville looking for a good bowl of gumbo. My backup plan is to look for a delicious plate of shrimp and grits. This is the reason for my first visit to this restaurant.OMG ?! I have found gold with this restaurant. They served me the best plate of shrimp and grits I have eaten in a long time! It was a huge serving with lots of jumbo shrimp and andouille sausage. The creole sauce was just spicy enough to make it perfect! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys the Charleston style shrimp and grits! I will definitely be returning!“
“It’s a guilty pleasure of mine that I come once a week on my lunch break. I never have to wait long even when they are busy, plus the food is always hot and fresh. And I love the crew. They are so nice and always recommend great shows to me. My favorite burger place/restaurant family by far!“
“Decent quality food. Better than most buffets. Good service too. Lots of friendly folks. Price seems a little steep but for all the variety of good food they have I guess it's not. Only criticism I would have is that the "prime rib" is most definitely not. The sirloin steaks are good though.“
“This establishment at Cedar Bluff, is the sister of one of my very favorite restaurants, Lakeside Grill at Concord Park. The Cheeseburger was steller, cooked perfect to my request. Great ambience. This is one of West Knoxville's best restaurants. I highly recommend.. ??Wheelchair accessibility: All good.“
“The wife and I came to eat tonight, and we thought it was fantastic! We sat down inside to eat. Lou's was kept clean. The food is made to order so it came out fresh. She had a Cheeseburger which she loved and it looked pretty hefty. I ate the Chicken Philly Cheese with banana peppers, green peppers, and jalapenos. It was marvelous! We both had their fresh cut fries, which in all honesty were plentiful and delicious!“
“Such a down home feel!!!! My family enjoys this place so much! My kids ask to go everytime we are in the area!!! The burgers are good, my kids love the spaghetti, and they have the Best Rueben I have had in a long time!!!Kid-friendliness: Solid kids menu! INCLUDING Spaghetti and Meatballs!“
“I've been going here since the early 80's. Absolutely LOVE this little gem and so happy that they are still going strong. Still looks the same but that's part of its charm...takes us back to the good 'ol days. The Vols Bacon Cheeseburger is a must try along with their fried catfish (excellent tartar sauce and hush puppies too) and breakfast items. Our favorite sides would be fried okra/tomatoes, coleslaw, tater tots, fries, & pinto beans. Meatloaf is pretty good.. just a little too sweet for me. I need to try more, but it's so hard to not order the BEST burger or Catfish in town. ?“
“Never had a bad experience here yet! Delighted to find they had brunch! The Monte Cristo was huge and yummy. Chicken and waffles was superb, moist, not dry like we've had many places. Very well done. Friends had the burrito which said it was delicious. Sure looked awesome!Really want to try the challah sandwiches next time.“
“Wow, what a gem this spot is! Let me begin with the service, Danielle, unbelievable! Southern hospitality, outstanding attitude and efficient! The restaurant business as a whole has declining service...but not here! Every person at Holly's was smiling and seemed to love their jobs! Food, yum! My entire party loved their meals! I had a great salmon bagel! Prices are very reasonable! Today was a nice spring day so we enjoyed the patio! This is a must for a great breakfast or brunch!“
“This is my favorite brunch place! They stay super busy so definitely check the waitlist before going and reserve your spot! Staff is friendly and efficient, lemon ricotta pancakes are unbeatable, and their honey iced coffee is amazing! Their Atmosphere is lovely and the price is fair considering what you get! Large portions & the place is always clean“
“A nice place. Virtually almost nothing for vegetarians and the one thing I tried the pasta dish - spaghetti with parmesan was not any good. It was just so sopping saturated with Parmesan that just really wasn't enjoyable at all and didn't have a good texture. My friend loved the trout though and said that it was excellent. She also loved the IPA, but I thought it was humorous that it came in a can and they made a big deal of pouring it in a very fancy flourish to allow the vapors to volatilize.Vegetarian options: There is nothing there for a vegetarian at all that is edible or at least enjoyable if you can choke it down. So if you're a vegetarian and you go with others who are not, forget it. Best to go go somewhere else where everyone can have a good dinner.“
“Toby W served us our delicious dinner and he was amazing! Thank you Toby for serving us no different than other especially when we are deaf and you handled our order beautifully! We will be back and hopefully will see you!I had Knox Burger with fries, my hubby had Big Tex burger with onion rings. They were big portioned so the prices were reasonable. This is at Powell location.“
“After driving by for a couple of years the wife and I finally stopped in for lunch. Our only regret was waiting so long to try this place. The food was outstanding. My wife is GF and they have some options for her. The bartender lady was so friendly and helpful (sorry we did not catch your name but we went about 2:00pm Sat April 6th). My wife said the GF bread on her sandwich was the beast she's ever had.I would highly recommend you try this little gem out. Great food, and even better service!“
“What's not to like great people and awesome food very attentive towards everyone at the tableKid-friendliness: Nothing but smiles when it came down to the kids they loved it and the waiters and waitresses would stop and answer the kids questions when they said excuse me can I ask you a question it was awesome.“
“It was my first time at Tupelo, and I had the Sweet & Spicy Chicken Waffles. WOW! the chicken was perfectly battered, cooked, and spiced. It wasn't too hot or too sweet. For me, there was plenty of food on the plate, and I ended up taking half home. I think an over easy egg on top of these chicken and waffles would have been amazing. I highly recommend Tupelo Honey!“
“Nice little mom an pop restaurant the food is really good the service is awesome an the portions are definitely worth the money. An the people that come in here are great as well. It's just a great place to eat. an the culture of it just reminds you of how it should be without all the hustle an bustle of fast food. You won't meet a stranger in here!! Don't take my word for it. Try it yourself!! Your going to love it!!Kid-friendliness: This restaurant is just a great place to take your family“
“After plans to visit Smash City continued to fall through, I finally made it for the first time Friday afternoon. I came by at 2 something so it was an odd time and no one else was there. Let me start by saying that the double fried fries here are THE BEST I’ve ever had! I’ve lived on both coasts and now the Knox area, am a chubby MF’er who loves the best burgers and fries in the world and look folks, this is the spot! Seriously folks, when I had the fries and the smash burger here, I was trying to contain the unicorns and rainbows flying from every orifice! Definitely the BEST “smash” style burger too! Even the syrup mixture on the soda machine for the root beer was turned up to “painfully sweet”. Absolutely perfect!!! I WILL be back assuming the stent and quad bypass are successful. Lol (knock on wood). Don’t forget to bring change for the meters during the week!“
“Everything was extremely clean and nice. We went an hour before closing, and it was almost empty. The food was decent for the price, so I was unsure why there weren't a lot of people still present. The waitress we had was exceptionally nice. My only concern is that I got the teriyaki chicken with Mac and cheese. The Mac was pretty bland. The chicken was moist and flavored well with the sauce, though. My husband received the burger and fries, and it looked amazing. Normally, he throws his left overs away, and this was a time he actually ate them a few hours later. I'm still confused as to why there weren't a lot of people there.“
“Friend's all love it maybe I was expecting a little more. Atmosphere was cool but the bathrooms were in rough shape when I was there. I always envision that a restaurant's kitchen is as clean as the restrooms. Food was pretty good I was not a fan of the wing's or the pizza but I'm spoiled from eating at some other places. Service was really friendly and very attentive. I can def see why it's packed in the afternoon.“
“First time at Sami's Cafe and looking forward to my next visit there. I seated myself and was impressed with the fast and friendly service at this restaurant that is open for breakfast and lunch only. My order as a first timer at most restaurants is a club sandwich and french fries with a Dr. Pepper. My waitress placed took the order and it wasn't no time before she brought me a club sandwich that was unbelievable, lightly buttered toasted bread packed with all of the essentials that make a great club sandwich paired up with perfectly cooked crinkle fries. The sandwich was large enough that half of it went home with me for a late evening meal. Thanks Sami's Cafe for an awesome first visit and meal.“
“I have been getting the Reuben with Swiss sandwich at Jacob's for many years and have always said it was the best Reuben sandwich in Knoxville. However today was not the case. My sandwich although good did not have the Swiss cheese that makes it so gooey and excellent.(I did ask for it with the Swiss cheese!) I also ordered a small order of onion rings and a side salad. The salad in the past always has crackers included, but were not included today for some reason. Also, prices have gone up! Jacob's has always been a great place to eat and the staff very friendly. Maybe just an off day?? Hate to see prices go up and quality go down!“
“We enjoyed our breakfast. We had a group of seven. The waitress was great! The food was good, and the portions were large. The atmosphere is like a diner. I recommend this location for breakfast.Parking: It was busy the Saturday we visited, but there was plenty of parking.“
“I love the atmosphere and the food. The reason I only give it 4 stars is because they up charge for a freshly grilled chicken on a salad. It's a trend here in Tennessee! You order a "grilled" chicken salad, and the chicken is cold. Probably grilled yesterday. If you want it freshly grilled and hot, that'll be $4 more!“
“This is a great little place! We came in because of the puns and stayed for the food. The customer service was great and the girl who helped us was so polite and kind while our kids entertained her. We got the deep fried ravioli, a pizza for the kids, the chicky parm and the mind grinder. We liked everything we got! We haven’t been to the food truck but if we see it we’ll definitely stop.“
“For those who think you HAVE to go to a seafood restaurant, if you want to enjoy seafood; allow me to challenge your thinking!I'll go ANYWHERE to find GOOD AHI TUNA! I made a"call- in" to- go order, picked it up from the guy behind the bar, who was super sweet and really a great server, but anyway... went out to the car, drove under some trees and WOW!!First off, the serving size was HUGE!! Very non-typical when it comes to Ahi. What really got me though.... was the taste!!! Hands down, no contest!! This was the best Ahi Tuna I've had, outside of the coast.... no question.I've had ALOT of Ahi and, from the best of the best in Knoxville and, I'm so so happy to say, Tennessee Taphouse: You've made a LIFE-TIME patron of me!!Job Well Done!!If I could give you 10 stars, I'd give you 20!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“One of my favorite places in Knoxville! Drinks are great, servis is terrific and the food is good (not great but good). I stop here every time I'm in town. Sit at the bar, get some drinks and a small bite to eat... you won't regret it.“
“First time checking out this place. I ordered the teriyaki chicken, red mashed potatoes and jalapeno corn casserole. The chicken was tender and smothered in the teriyaki sauce for a pleasant experience. The mashed potatoes were satisfactory and the corn casserole was okay with good flavor and a bit of heat on the back end. Overall a good job and I would return to try more.“
“We recently held a private function at the Oliver Royal. The best experience anyone could ever hope for. The helped plan the event and menu options. That was great but the staff on the event night knocked it out of the park. Great folks that made it a very special evening.“
“Our waitress was Sherry and she was the best. Definitely will be back here. This was also Sherry's first day on the floor. I went back in to talk with the manager and let them know how well she did. She's very kind hearted. I hope when I go back this weekend she will be my waitress again...Thank you SherryParking: Parking was great at this time of day. I know it can get crowded but I've always been able to park up front.Kid-friendliness: Most certainly kid friendly...Wheelchair accessibility: There is wheelchair accessibility.“
“The Central Ave location has a beautiful, inviting interior, comfortable seating, and we loved that the tables came from local Smoky Mountain Vintage Lumber! Michelle made us feel welcome right away, provided top service, and guided us through our first visit with solid suggestions. We started with Oysters Rockefeller and an incredibly rich Irish potato soup, then moved on to the duck and scallops for our entres. All were flavorful and beautifully presented. We shared an espresso cheesecake for dessert and enjoyed every bite.“
“I’ve gotta say, one of my best memories in a while has got to be coming to Pelicans. My friends and I were looking for a hangout spot after church and THIS IS IT. It is just a great place overall. I even got two things while I was there haha. I started out with the strawberry lemonade flavor. After that I went back for blue raspberry. It’s really good!! They have over 100 flavors I think and good variety too. Very family friendly atmosphere and the employee who served us was super nice and friendly. They have games in the outside area and plenty of seating. Gotta say, we will definitely be back here again!!! Can not recommend this enough! Thank you Pelicans Team for making our Sunday even more special!“
“The bartender was pleasant, engaging and knowledgeable! He served my partner and I several beers to taste. He really went above and beyond! If this gentleman ever gets to Massachusetts, he should let me know as he is welcomed to stop in to Start Line Brewery in Hopkinton. A great experience today!“
“I started visiting Firebird's for their meat loaf and they took that off the menu, so I started ordering the Cilantro Chicken and now it's part of a 3-course meal, and I don't need that much food, so last night was a very good burger. I've been very critical of the service at this Firebird's over the years, but we had Jaycie last night and she did an excellent job. One of the mangers even stopped by our table and asked how everything was and if we needed anything. My wife loves their Salmon salad, and she said it was good as always. With the menu changes, I'm not sure how many visits to Firebird's is in our future. I might try one of the pasta dishes.“
“This is another place that I've had bookmarked for a long time but only recently tried. I only wish I had tried it sooner! We came for an early lunch on a weekday. There was plenty of seating at the in between breakfast and lunch time. The service was fast and friendly. I had a modified Greek salad (no cheese), hummus, pita, and colonels potatoes. Everything was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The hummus was unusual and very different from local favorites like Yassin's and Holy Land. It wasn't my favorite but I still enjoyed it. Their pita bread is some of the best in town. But the potatoes are incredible! I would go back just for them.“
“Had only been here once before years ago and decided to come for lunch the other day. Food was very good flavor wise but everything was very heavy tasting - seems like they use a ton of butter and oil on everything. Service was fine, the greasy food was just not my style.“
“Management of a location can make all the difference! Walking into this HBH on a busy Friday before Easter, all the employees were upbeat and engaging with the guests. When it was my turn, I was greeted with a sincere smile and assisted to ensure all my needs for the holiday were met. They had plenty of sliced ham for those not needing to feed a crowd and to go items for anyone needing lunch. The east side will now be my go to location! Thank you team for the great service!!!!“
“Drove out to Knoxville to a viewing party for the playoff game Miami Dolphins versus the Kansas City Chiefs.Got there a little early and had a few drinks at the bar. We also grabbed some appetizers. The food was really good. However, the atmosphere and the staff are awesome. We got our own private room for the football game. Which was great. The owner would keep coming in and checking on us making sure everything was awesome. He totally took care of us and I mean he really did !!!! You can see his passion. But it just wasn't with us. I watched him go around the whole place.I can't recall in my recent memory of enjoying myself this much in a long time. I don't give out many five stars but this place I would give six stars even 10 if I had a choice. It was that goodSo if you're in the area and want to have a super time in an awesome atmosphere and outstanding service. You have to go here.“
“First time here and it did not disappoint.Definitely get the hush puppies to start. We split the ribeye with potato puree and brussels as sides. Food was fantatsic. The service and atmosphere was even better. Davin was our server and I couldn't say enough positive things about our experience. Will be back for sure!“
