“I enjoyed this comfy place! Lots of sides to choose from. I for some reason didnt like the Cole slaw and the waitress replaced it right away! Very nice. Meatloaf, mac and cheese, fried potatoes with onion, and my replacement was cucumbers and tomatoes in Italian dressing. Very good. We will be back! Give it a try people!!”
“First time we had tried the seafood. Knew the Bar b Que food was great. The fish and shrimp is even better. Loved the mayonnaise Cole slaw. Will certainly be repeat customers for their food. Delicious!!!!!!”
“This place has the best pizza I have ever ate betterthan easy cheesy, and better than Highland Pizza in Westmoreland Tennessee and better than Domino's,and Pizza Hut in Lafayette ”
“Great food and customer service. I asked the waitress for something a little healthier and the guys in the kitchen made it perfect!! Could not have asked for any better!! Love La Tia Mexican ”
“Very kind, respectful, and polite at the drive-through. The food was fresh and hot. The second trip around for icecream cones was great as well.We are from out of town (Chesapeake, Virginia) visiting family. We have been to many DQ's and this one is very clean with hard workers. Hats off to the staff!”
“Our family loves the food here. We go at least once a month.3 things you should know:1. They are cash only now, this isn’t a big deal but can be a hassle2. The menu doesn’t have prices listed. Some of the items can be much more expensive than you’d expect (the torta is ~$18 now), the rest of the menu is priced well. We are big fans of their tacos.3. The food is great, & the owners are awesome!”
“I've lived here in macon County for over 20+ years when I found this Cafe, my son and I went for the first time, and it's AMAZING! everything about this place is just amazing ! WE ARE MAKING GIBSONS CAFE OUR PLACE !! just want to say a big THANK YOU to the waitress for making our day, so everyone stop by GIBSONS CAFE for the BEST BLT AND PHILLY STEAK YOU'LL EVER EAT !!”
“I passed a BBQ called "Pit Stop" in town that was jam-packed with the lunch crowd, and a few miles farther on I rolled past this spot. The smoker out back was billowing, and the parking lot was pretty full...so I turned around and headed back. It's an "order at the counter and come get it" place - no waitresses. The menu is chalked on the wall to the right, with prices listed including the tax which is kinda cool. Good selection including the obligatory pulled pork (known simply as BBQ hereabouts), tenderloin, shoulder, chicken breast, pork chops, and burgers and hotdogs. They have mayo slaw AND vinegar slaw - more about them in a minute, as well as the other usual side suspects. No fries, no baked potatoes.I ordered the tenderloin and both kinds of slaw - I do love slaw and the other sides were pretty standard fare.I also ordered "medium" sauce, which was delivered on the side. It was a half full coffee cup with a lid, loosely wrapped in aluminum foil and was plenty. BBQ sauce in this region seems pretty localized. Here it was a vinegar-base sauce that is a really thin consistency. There was a bottle of Mild Sauce on the table already, labeled "Shake Well Before Each Use." The medium looked like they just added some cayenne to the mild for a little kick. Both sauces were good and complemented the tenderloin wellThe tenderloin was a bit dry - as are pretty much every one of 'em I've ever had - but had a great texture and flavor. The sauce kind of soaked in to the meat and made it even better. The slaw on the left is the mayo slaw - it was a tiny bit sweet with a slightly nutty flavor, and not quite as crunchy as the other. The vinegar slaw was a little more crispy (may have just been a bit fresher?) and had a great sweet/sour flavor. The dressing on this type of slaw is watery and if it's not sweetened too much, I love it! (This was just right!)The plate was topped off with a couple slices of white bread and made for a great lunch. The only thing that would have improved it for me was a couple slices of onion and a couple dill pickle spears...but that's probably just the Okie in me.All in all, I recommend this place as a great spot to stop off for lunch. The "unusual" sauce (to me) and the two kinds of slaw alone made it worth a try.Parking: Plenty of parking, there are spots next to the building, in front closer to the road, and along the sides of the lot.”
“Food is generally good when I order, tonight they were busy so I guess they ran out of the type of bread I wanted which was a bummer and made the sandwich I normally get less than ideal.. only complaint so far and I've been going for a while. Looove the sweet onion chicken sandwiches! The best ?? also I love their deals on the app”
“Our family loves to eat breakfast together here. Good food and it's not too expensive. Price depends on what you get, but my family of 3 eats for $22 to $25 dollars.Kid-friendliness: Employees and other customers welcome your children.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp that leads up and into restaurant.”
“Absolutely love the food, my only complaint is that it's apparently cash only. I'm not in Lafayette very much so if I don't have cash I just don't go.”
“Our service and food were excellent. Salad bar was fresh and delicious with multiple selections. Waitress was attentive to us, and our order was correct and refills on drinks.I had the ribeye and was cooked properly, and she had the fried shrimp basket, and they crispy and fresh. We can't wait for our next opportunity to visit here.”
“For fast food, they are pretty solid, had corn dogs again. This time fully cooked through. Service is 5 starsz but some of the touch screens are broken making it so i cant tip or difficult to pay.”
“Was there around 6:00 tonight.. the food and service was fantastic. Just like it should be.Unfortunately a door dash guy was there throwing a fit because the workers were swamped with customers. I really feel that GrubHub and door dash are ruining the dining experience everywhere for customers who actually show up.”
“Busy. We were seated immediately. Order taken immediately. Food was served promptly. I had the chimichanga supreme, it was great. My wife had the carnitas plate. It was delicious and filling. Ask for the spicy salsa, it is very flavorful and spicy.”
