Who goes to Memphis and passes up BBQ for a Cuban sandwich? This guy!! In my pursuit of finding the perfect Cuban sandwich, my travels bring me to Memphis (on business), and my GPS led me to this quaint, little Cuban restaurant not far from the Civil Rights Museum where Gloria Estefan was playing loud enough for all restaurant patrons to enjoy! The food was delicious! I have never had empanadas that were so tasty before! And the guava ones were unexpectedly wonderful! We got some frozen ones to go and put them in our air fryer at home and they turned out tasting delicious! I only regret that we live 3 hours from Memphis, so it's not easy for us to get these more often. Service was also very good! Really good, seemingly authentic (but I've never been to Cuba) Cuban food. Oddly, the French fries are the best part. I'd stick to the daily specials, most notably the picadillo and especially the ropa vieja. You'll get two sides (the boiled yuca with onions is a cant miss) and a 20 oz. bottled drink for right around $7.
