Great southern cooking by friendly folks. Very affordable and delicious. Great functioning local small business with supporting. Best quick blue plate lunch special on the mountain or not, just incredible local find.
Shhhh. Company coming? Last minute guest? Shop here. Reheat and serve. Entrees, veggies, sides, desserts. Listen $7 blue plate daily. Variety of salads; tuna, blt pasta salad... gazpacho, pastas, meats vary daily. Get there before 5p or it's picked over... Saturday is epically sold out. Discovered this gem today! Had the Blue Plate fried chicken meal. Breading on the chicken was tasty and the chicken was juicy. For sides we had black eyed pea salad, blt pasta salad, and potato salad. All of them were delicious. Took a piece of the Texas white cake to go. It was excellent too. Really unique concept with the Blue Plate special every day and all the takeaway meals. If we lived nearby, I would be stopping to pick up dinner on a regular basis. Great experience!
