The meals were delicious and affordable! They accommodated take out for the spicy tofu dish and grilled chicken vermicelli. And the staff was very friendly.

As of Saturday 01/20/24 (Dinner Service)...DO NOT go here! We were excited to go here thinking it was a Vietnamese Restaurant. It was extremely disappointing. I should have listened to my instincts when we were told to grab our own menus and silverware from the bus tub at the host stand and seat ourselves. But I went along. Not usually fussy... And that didn't bother me, much...One Server for the ENTIRE restaurant, no Host/Hostess, No food runners, No bussers. One old man. That was it. And he tried, bless his heart. But he was woefully overwhelmed.I NEVER write bad reviews, because I value local businesses. But this place was awful, and they should be ashamed. Food was "Okay". Took a very long time to receive. Service and Atmosphere was "Horrendous". No Table Condiments. Floors Slope down badly to one side about 15°.Nothing Authentic Vietnamese about this place, other than I could picture myself in Saigon while visiting this restaurant, and not the nice part. They serve American Asian food. I've had better Vietnamese food in Nebraska. There's 20 other Asian Restaurants I would recommend in Amarillo before this place. Try ANY one of them, but here.

They've got some pretty good food and great service. My only complaint is the music that's played in the background, don't get me wrong it's good just not my cup of tea when eating.

Don't let the old worn out sign turn you away, Saigon is awesome, just try it you won't be disappointed.
I ordered the Vietnamese Salted Lemonade and the Basil Fried Rice. I came with a party of about 10 others, it took over an HOUR to receive our food! The Salted Lemonade is exactly how it sounds, it tastes like salted water with a light lemon taste. I let others in my party taste it and no one seemed to like it. My Basil Fried Rice, had nice texture and came out hot, but it was too spicy with the Jalapeño sauce. I could not hardly taste the veggies and chicken in my rice because the spice was overwhelming it. Inside the restaurant its not very bright, there are shades on the windows, very dim lights overhead, and for some reason the ceiling is painted a very dark red which makes it feel even darker. The floor was uneven and I noticed in spots that it was hollow. They do have a koi fish fountain at the entrance which is a nice touch. There were only two other customers in the entire restaurant and it still took 65 minutes to get our food. Not acceptable.

Really enjoyed our trip to the Saigon restaurant overall. We enjoyed the Banh Mi sandwich and the pork vermicelli with egg rolls a lot, very fresh garnish and herbs. We also got the brisket pho but it needed more salt and spice maybe star anise so that could use some work flavor wise. The service was great and we would definitely come visit again!

Sometimes they don’t have certain things on the menu. It all depends on who showed up for work that day. Other than the service, the food was pretty tasty.

Relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff, and absolutely AMAZING food. Literally just order anything and it's going to be delicious. They have many vegetarian options and their tofu dishes are exquisite. I recommend the Novice's Special. The portions are enough to fill you up and the price is reasonable. Enough variety to please all of your picky eaters. This is one of my favorite spots.
