Stopped here with some co-workers after landing at DFW. There's lots of good food here, so someplace with such good reviews has to be a winner, right?Home run. Friendly waitresses, and hot tasty food served fresh faster than some fast food joints. Great quality. Chicken and dumplings (Monday special) are thick as all get-out and that meat is the most tender and rich you've ever had. Mashed potatoes are fresh and perfect. Country fried steak, well, it was huge but couldn't get a taste from my buddy. Great rolls and corn muffins too! Can't say enough good stuff about this place. If you want quality down home good at a fair price, you know where to go.

A cozy place with old style #Denny's appeal. The food was about same quality as a Denny's restaurant, serving traditional American meals. Wait staff were wonderful. I left a large tip for waitress who was amazing. Convenient location with lots and lots of parking. 18 wheelers can park nearby in next door lot.Vegetarian options: Typical vegetarian optionsDietary restrictions: I believe the eatery offers options, if requested.Parking: Lots of open parking, easy access.Kid-friendliness: Its a family-style eateryWheelchair accessibility: Entry is very easy access for anyone.

Ordered chicken fried steak and the gravy was sour. I told waitress and she said chicken gravy is available. She came and said no chicken gravy. She said brown gravy was available. When it came it was greasy and had brown lumps in it. Yuck. Daily special was supposed to be turkey with dressing and meatloaf. They did not have it. Waitress forgot about us. Too busy gossiping with staff. Saddens me to see it going down hill. Used to be good.

Good restaurant. Home cooking. Has that mom and pop feel to it. Pie is 5 star. I’ve been here several times. Usually crowded because it’s hard to find home cooked meals anywhere anymore.
