“We sat at the bar because they were so busy at lunch on a Tuesday. Go figure. After having drinks and sampling the food, we can understand why. The bartenders are great and the food is fresh and creative. We added to short rib and hummus to the combination spread plate and it was so good and so filling, it limited us trying anything other than the shrimp appetizer. Which was good not great.“
“Best food in Austin….no question about it. I wish Google let me give 10 stars. This was the best meal I’ve ever had in my life and I like to consider myself a food snob. Along with the exceptional quality of food, Phil provided exceptional service. We got a bottle of wine and didn’t refill our own glass once (on a packed night nonetheless) Ask for Phil and you’ll have a taste of a Luxury dining experience.P.s. get the a crab cake. Thank me later“
“When they say kid friendly they mean it. My husband and I got to enjoy a nice dinner while the staff doted on our daughter. Everything was perfect. Great last meal of our vacation!Kid-friendliness: They have a 3 course kids menu that is so special and thoughtful. Perfect place to celebrate a special occasion with the family. The staff seem to authentically like kids too.“
“It was an absolute pleasure dining at Ember kitchen, my boyfriend and I celebrated his birthday there and it was amazing ! The service, food and ambiance was outstanding, they absolutely go above and beyond for their customers and I will be returning soon and definitely recommend it.“
“I cannot say enough about how impressed I was with my experience here! Such a wonderful server and the food was absolute delicious the crab cake, oysters, mushrooms, creamed spinach, filet, and billionaire potato were top tier. I’ll be back in Austin next month and absolutely will be dining again!“
“Went here cause of Joe Rogan but realized why he actually posted it. The food was amazing and the service was magnificent! Jehan was really accommodating and really knowledgeable when suggesting the best foods to try. Jehan also always makes sure that your drinks are always brimming to the top. My family enjoyed the food and experience! We have been to multiple kbbq spots here at Austin and can honestly say this restaurant is our favorite! We will be back soon.Kid-friendliness: They made sure my 3yo son has some steamed dumplings to try.“
“"Cypress Grill is an absolute gem! From the moment you step in, the inviting atmosphere sweeps you away. The decor is charming, and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. But the real star of the show is the food. Every dish bursts with flavor and freshness, showcasing the chef's mastery of Louisiana cuisine. Whether you're indulging in their perfectly seasoned seafood or savoring their mouthwatering Cajun classics, every bite is a culinary delight. Plus, the portions are generous, ensuring you leave satisfied every time. Cypress Grill is truly a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Southern hospitality and delicious, comforting fare."“
“What an experience!! This place deserves all of the hype and is definitely worth every penny!! My boyfriend surprised me with dinner here for our anniversary, and the staff went above and beyond to make it such a magical and memorable night!!We started with some champagne, and then got the “nice spice” and another cocktail I don’t remember the name of but they were delicious and had so manny different flavor profiles. We ordered two of the warm crab tarts and they were delightful. My boyfriend ordered the halibut and it came with this smoked butter sauce that was absolutely to die for. I ordered the 8oz dry aged wagyu steak, it was so amazing, who knew you could pack so much flavor into a meal! We will definitely be back and will recommend to all of our familly and friends! Can’t wait to come back!! Thank you to the entire Hestia staff!!“
“I had a sensational experience at Este recently. Everything I had was absolutely smashing. The tamarind agua Fresca was lightly sweet and refreshingly sour. I tad the tuna tiradito and am still thinking about the charred allium sauce it was served with. The swordfish tacos were a revelation, the batter was similar to a light and crispy tempura. The lime semifreddo was a creative take on a key lime pie, and the mango tamarind gelato was real treat. I sat at the bar by myself, so I got to chat with the staff throughout my meal. They were attentive and clearly passionate about their work, and most importantly, I could tell from the way they interacted with one another that Este fosters a thoughtful and supportive culture. They were so helpful and gracious with each other, acting as a real team. I was so impressed overall, and I can’t wait for my next visit!“
“A friend told us these were the best fish tacos in the world, and that it was a family run food truck next two some others that we couldn't miss... and he was right. When a place makes 4 things and people keep coming back, you know it's good. The service and owners of this food truck are the sweetest and the fish taco of course is the star. The tortilla to the crisp of the fish, to the freshness of the cabbage... yum! The ceviche toastada was also a surprising hit, and was well balanced texturally, and in lightness, seasoning and just the right amount of acid. It was also swealtering when we went and the coolness of that toastada really hit the spot.“
“Our favorite restaurant by far. Food and Service are always excellent. Stone Crab Claws a must- so delicious. Overall wonderful experience every time. This was our first time for the Easter Brunch. We did think there would be some special features for Easter, but it was the regular menu. Fortunately, we love everything on the regular menu, so it was no big deal. The carrot cake at Trulucks is the best we've ever had, so dessert topped off Easter brunch!“
“By far this restaurant food / staff & even management deserve the highest accolades. To be honest this place was not our original destination for a Birthday celebration but, due to unforseen circumstances we had to divert plans and ended up in quit possibly the best turn of fortunes by coming to Eddie V's. We were lucky enough to secure reservations last minute and upon our arrival were treated as if we quite possibly owned a share of the restaurant ( We do not ) the lovely hostess was kind enough to provide the women of our party ( One being the one celebrating her Birthday ) each with a single long stem red rose to celebrate the occasion. In a brief amount of time we were seated at a phenomenal area of the restaurant only to find a card on the table with a hand written Happy Birthday proclamation. The service was prompt and personable which was greatly appreciated & the staff worked in a well orchestrated manner to suit our every need. It was such a wonderful experience to have the manager Mary come over to personally check on us and provide a sincere and thoughtful conversation to our party. That in and of itself made this worth the visit but, as this is a restaurant the topic of this review should be the food of which every single item that was ordered from the filets to the lobster tails and even the special that night of halibut were exquisite. The items were well seasoned , flavorful and prepared to the requested parameters. I can not say enough good about how appetizing it all was. This place is stellar and sets an exemplary standard that I wish other " Fine dining " establishments could live up to. This place will now rank as one of my top referrals for anyone who will listen ! Once again .... Thank You Mary & staff for the undeniably amazing experience !!!!!“
“3 Amigos Ceviche was really delicious with lots of very tender octopus! Aguachile verde with nice big shrimp definitely has some heat and was a generous portion. Owner gave us a taste of their soup too (thank you!!) which was a nice hot treat on a chilly day.“
“The food was amazing, the steaks were cooked exactly as ordered. The au gratin potatoes were delicious. The service and attention to detail were truly 5 star. 100 times better than the other well known steak house we were at the night before.“
“Good restaurant on a prime scenic location in Austin! The ambiance definitely makes up a big portion of this rating and the experience. The interior design is very well done and I was impressed from the moment I walked in to the moment I got to my seat. The view is stunning and the barriers are clear glass. Don't forget your sunglasses or you might have to face away from the view! At night they pull these clear garage door-like things down. I was surprised to see how full the establishment was for a Wednesday night. It must be super crowded on weekends. No wonder they have a large waiting area. The food was good. We were recommended the hummus with naan - the hummus is made in house and very smooth, and the naan is crispy on the edges and soft on the inside. They kindly granted our request when we asked for more naan. From the time we ordered, our entrees took about 45 minutes to arrive. I definitely appreciated how a lot of the menu items give the option of a small or large portion, with the small portion typically being 4oz of meat and the large 8oz. The small portion is still sizeable but may not fill you up. We got the pepper steak risotto, truffle risotto with steak, and the sea bass. The truffle was too prominent but the sea bass was good. The highlight for me was the blackberry cobbler. The cobbler was hot and crisp and it was filled with blackberries. Unfortunately, service was a miss for the most part. When we showed up, there was no one manning the front of house, so a line formed. We had a reservation, but weren't seated immediately and were told to sit in the waiting area (fortunately it only took a few minutes to be seated). However I went to use the restroom and they seated my friend that I came with and told her that they would catch me when I came out of the restroom. They didn't. Additionally the waitress for our table was good but there were others who came by in between - one who said he would return with water and never did, and another one cleared all our utensils after our appetizer (we had to ask for utensils from our main waitress again). This place is great for a range of occasions, from a casual outing where you still want to impress, to a date, to a girls' night out. I saw some people dressed pretty casually, as well as people who dressed up. Overall I'm glad Quince took this location by the water next to Mozart's! It is a much more upscale alternative to Hula Hut next door and the perfect establishment for this location.“
“Garrison at the Fairmont Hotel exceeds expectations. The food delivers , the flavor profile of Texas BBQ delivered as a fine dining experience. The wood burning cooking really takes everything up a notch . The setting is hip & the service impeccable.?❤️“
“I ordered the gumbo, crab cakes, and bread pudding. All three were great, but the gumbo and breadpudding had me licking my lips for days after my visit. Our server, Kassie, was attentive and welcoming and the rest of the staff were just as lovely. I was overly disappointed to discover they are not open on Mondays, but the next time I’m in the Austin area I will be returning.“
“The lobster buccatini is luscious. The pear tart is outstanding. We tried the oyster shooters thinking they were o. The half shell. It was a shot glass with an oyster in it. Being on the appetizer menu it was more booze than anything and the flavors didn't meld well. Should had it's own section and noted as an actual shot. Sometimes you'll get seated next to families with kids so expect that. The service typically very good“
“Very helpful staff. The food was well done and flavorful. The ceviche was outstanding. The red snapper filets were pretty thick. The restaurant has a nice decor and there is plenty of room between the tables. It was a good choice and we'll be back.“
“Went for the hot pot lunch and had an excellent meal and experience. The foods are fresh and colorful and tasty. Our server explained the hot pot process in detail and helped us as needed. This is a really cool place for lunch with a group or to sit at the bar. There are plenty of options for meats and veggies to satisfy everyone.Lots of easy free parking too so that’s a big plus.“
“Looking to satisfy your craving for authentic Cajun cuisine right here in Austin? Look no further than Everything New Orleans food truck! After a glowing recommendation from a trustworthy source, my barber Tyler, a New Orleans native, I decided to give this food truck a try, and I was not disappointed.I ordered the gumbo with a mix of chicken, sausage, and shrimp, along with sides of potato salad and cornbread. The flavors brought me straight back to the vibrant streets of New Orleans, with each bite bursting with authenticity and deliciousness. The gumbo was a true standout, rich and flavorful with the perfect blend of spices. The combination of chicken, sausage, and shrimp added layers of complexity to the dish, making it a hearty and satisfying choice. The potato salad was creamy and well-seasoned, providing a cool contrast to the spicy gumbo. The cornbread was the perfect accompaniment, with a moist and crumbly texture that complemented the meal perfectly.Everything New Orleans food truck truly delivers on its promise of bringing the flavors of the Big Easy to Austin. The food is prepared with care and attention to detail, resulting in a dining experience that is both delicious and authentic. If you're in the mood for some Cajun comfort food that will transport you to the bayous of Louisiana, be sure to pay a visit to Everything New Orleans food truck. Your taste buds will thank you!“
“I had an exceptional dining experience at Salt Traders! From the moment we walked in, Larry, our server, made us feel welcome and valued. His extensive knowledge of the menu truly enhanced our meal; he guided us through each dish with expertise, ensuring we made the perfect selections. Not only was Larry knowledgeable, but he also added a delightful touch of humor to our dining experience, making us feel right at home. The food was exquisite, perfectly prepared and presented with care. The ambiance was inviting and cozy, creating the ideal atmosphere for a memorable meal. I highly recommend Salt Traders to anyone seeking top-notch cuisine and impeccable service. Larry truly made our visit unforgettable, and we can't wait to return. Five stars all around!“
“Just perfect! Our staff and food was amazing! I could not say one thing that needs approving! Top restaurant with friendly people who have a passion for what they do! It was an amazing experience! Well done!! - the chicken fried lobster was something special!“
“What a wonderful place if I may start off! Was seated down immediately and the menu was properly explained to us. Didn’t wait too long for our food to arrive. The seafood itself if I may be honest, wasn’t exactly the top tier quality I expected from past reviews. But man, the sauce was incredible! I got the Lemon Pepper Medium spice and it was just absolutely the perfect amount of tang and spice I needed. Totally made the food a much better eating experience. Size of the Crab Legs and Shrimp I got was appropriately sized. Our waiter Terry, was great! If you come in and he’s your waiter and man! The restaurant also gave us a couple of beignets to try which was a nice gesture.Overall when you come here, expect great sauce, great waiters, and a welcoming atmosphere! Price is as expected for a seafood boil (around $40 a person) and quality is hugely dependent on the season (which in our case, the season of crawfish and etc isnt the best right now). But would recommend anyone to give this place a shot ?“
“This I our second time coming to this establishment and they were just as amazing as the first time. The atmosphere is amazing and versatile. This is can be a perfect spot for a date, or a business meeting, or even just hanging out with friends. They offer a verity of food. You will see the basics like pork bell all the way to exotic items like octopus. And on top of that, the staff is amazing and super friendly. If I could rate this a 9/5 I would.“
“Beautiful place with ample parking and seating, unusual in Austin from my experience. Had a love lunch here with my wife. The food was delicious and the service great. Very attentive and knowledgeable, regularly checking in on us but without being overwhelming. Would love to eat here again when we're back in this part of town.“
“Had such a great experience here! Sat outside on a windy chilly night and the heaters were very warm and the screens blocked out the wind really well. Also no street noise + the layout of the restaurant keeps it from getting too noisy. The actual parking lot is kind of small and gets crowded around dinner time, but there's a paid public parking garage right across the street with lots of space. Paid $7 for 3 hour parking in the garage. The food and drinks were AMAZING. Luke recommended dishes/portions and was very knowledgeable about each dish. Would 100% recommend getting the Makum. Phenomenal dish. Tostadas with Sauces and vegetarian enchilada option were amazing as well. Everything was very well-made and had tons of flavor. Coconut horchata was also great! Service was very fast and everyone was incredibly kind. Luke and the host standing at front of the restaurant were very friendly and took great photos! Definitely a must-try Austin restaurant“
“This food truck is INSIDE Still Austin Whiskey Co | they use buzzers for you to pick up your food | their food is fresh and made to order (so come with patience) everything eas cooked to perfection - the burgers was perfect and fries were crispy on the outside and soft and mealy on the inside | definitely “
“It's a fun, largely family-style restaurant. We had the steak fajitas which were delicious, and then had the banana crepe flambé for dessert which was both delicious and a great show. Servers were both great (had two servers for shift change)“
“Knocked everything out of the park! Fried pickles, hushpuppies, and corn nuggets were perfect! Fried Shrimp and Catfish hit the spot and were super fresh. Gumbo was better than most but not amazing. Such a good spot for any occasion and everything is super well priced. $60 for 2 ppl not going light with anything. Can't beat it for real, and our server DeAndra was amazing!“
“Well to start! Mark was our waiter and he was incredible! Very personable and had all of the answers to our questions.Secondly, the food was amazing. We had the spinach artichoke dip, one of the steaks (can’t remember which), the steak sandwich and the brussels sprouts. All of which was absolutely incredible. We walked out full and happy. Thanks Mark for the great service and wonderful recommendations. I definitely recommend going if you’re on the fence.“
“This place was warm and welcoming, very cute and dim for a relaxing atmosphere. The service was excellent. Our table was birthday decorated and they offered a birthday desert. Our server, Matt, was friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. The food, I have mixed feelings about. The fish was very fresh and well cooked. We got the Chilean sea bass and almond crusted trout. The crab cake was absolutely delicious. So they have the fresh seafood bit down. Everything else was underwhelming. The mushroom risotto was kind of just salty mush, the mashed potatoes were stiff and the fried rice was good. It wasn’t terribly expensive for what it was, so I was not disappointed at all. Overall it was a good experience.“
“Reem was an amazing server she was attentive and kind told her about are trip to the mountains and Katlyn helped me on the phone with the reservation seating she was super helpful the food was so good but the fettuccine was ok and the pork chop was perfect I had a black berry sangria it was the best thing ever over all the service was top tier and the food was great thanks reem for the amazing service“
“This is a locally owned and operated restaurant. Great atmosphere. Lights are low but well lit at your table. All staff were welcoming and professional. We even had the manager or owner stop at our table to check on us.Our waitress was excellent. She showed no signs of disappointment when we both ordered water instead of an expensive drink. She knew the specials and the contents of the menu. Very patient while we took our time with the menu.Food was outstanding. Crab stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer, grilled shrimp and the crab stuffed salmon for our main dishes. Full of flavor and with the salmon you could taste the crab.If we're in town again, this will likely be a repeat visit for us.Google will not let me give this 7 out of 5 stars. Great establishment.“
“We eat there on special occasions with family when they come to Austin from out state they always enjoy the atmosphere, and drink specials wait staff seems to be there a long time familiar faces when we returnKid-friendliness: Love it when a kid has a birthday get the big hat and birthday song“
“Some people complain about the lack of space. Sadly, you can't help that every one and their mother wants to eat at this place now. The food is just that good. Service is quick from the time you order.Authentic sizchuan and other tasty Chinese dishes. I recommend the mapo tofu, spicy pork pot, dry pot, greenbeans, and the pork ribs are to die for.“
“Their burger and fries shocked us -- agreed it was the BEST BURGER we've had in Austin in a very long time.Bartender was absolutely swamped that evening (SXSW) and was crushing it with a smile. The Perfect Negroni was expertly crafted and served beautifully. Thanks for an unexpected treat of an evening. We'll be back ?“
“Everything about this place is incredible. It is delicious and authentic to all of us Northeasters who love our lobster and seafood. The Bar Harbor is the best value — sooo much lobster meat! Great value. Clean space, bright, friendly staff and service. Thank you!“
“Incredible food, cooked fresh and the nicest owner. I got the shan noodles and green tea salad. Both were outstanding! This combination of flavors is hard to come by in Austin. There’s a tent and tables in the back if you want to dine there.“
“This restaurant was all-around fantastic. We were a little skeptical that a seafood restaurant so far from the ocean would be good, but they did not disappoint. Every item - from the appetizers to sushi rolls to main dishes - were delicious and visually appealing. Great atmosphere and service as well. We felt very welcome here - not rushed. Highly recommend!“
“Great drink selections, the lobster Mac and cheese/ lobster mozzarella balls/ crab cakes are amazing! The staff is great and the place is clean and spacious (outdoor seating available, even with heaters). I highly Great drink selections, the lobster Mac and cheese/ lobster mozzarella balls/ crab cakes are amazing! The staff is great and the place is clean and spacious (outdoor seating available, even with heaters). I highly recommend coming here! coming here!“
“Room 725 is a beautiful spot with a panoramic view of the city. The drinks are delightful and everything we had was a treat ? especially the lobster claws and Caviar which had a sauce that was divine and the tuna carpaccio melted in a flavorful bite. I wouldn't order the vegan Caviar again. It reminded me of Boba and didn't have enough saltiness to mimic Caviar making it pretty bland. Also it's a champagne and Caviar bar so don't expect to leave full but you will have a delicious time.“
“Chengdu chilli chicken was yummy if you like spicy red chilies in your chicken. It also had asparagus beans and carrots in it. Also tried hot and sour soup was deliciousPeople were very friendly and welcoming great vibe. Checks all boxes for a nice Chinese place right around the corner“
“My daughters and I never had a bad meal, and we have tried many items, mostly lunch specials, soups and salads, appetizers, shrimp cocktail,, fried fish and shrimp. The service is very friendly and efficient, the Todd White artwork adds a festive ambiance.“
“I left so stuffed and satisfied. I probably gained 3lbs as they had the most delicious desserts (key lime pie!!!, chocolate torte, and a blackberry compote with vanilla cake). Plus their oysters were so flavorful, fresh and just scrumptious. Highly recommend their lobster bisque. In addition to the food, their staff was so knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and customer care oriented.“
“Hands down the best crawfish I’ve ever had! The people are so friendly, the atmosphere is wonderful, the flavor is amazing and boy are they spicy if you want it! There’s a bar next to the food truck to get drinks and there’s restrooms! Highly “
“Pappadeaux exceeded my highest expectations! My fiance and I went there for my 54th birthday and let me tell you....the food was way too awesome!!!! All I can tell you is that please stop by there the one on 183 South. In order the scallops with shrimp and truffle risotto....... And for dessert you have to try the fudge brownie vanilla ice cream it's devastatingly delicious!“
“I have loved Garbo's since they were a food truck that roamed the streets of downtown Austin. My favorite lobster roll in town (don't tell Clark's). Heidi, Sam, and Hannah have done a tremendous job expanding into the far reaches of our metro.“
“I enjoyed this food more than my trip to Canje. Oxtails were tender, coated with sauce and incredibly flavorful. Beef patty, although more closely resembling a large empanada, was stuffed with beef and had a pastry that was also super flavorful and flaky. Peas and rice under the oxtails slapped. Plantains were the perfect sweet bite in between to break up all the rich flavors. 10/10 recommend.“
“Went to Clark’s Oyster Bar for lunch and had a wonderful anniversary celebration. The service was really attentive and friendly, with little details like a happy anniversary postcard on the table when we arrived. Sat outside, set back from the road, under a tree and their lovely yellow awnings, it was great to be outside. Cocktails were beautifully crafted, with strong flavours and a good amount of alcohol, and food arrived timely to the table. We had Oysters to start, which looked beautifully presented on a large metal dish of crushed ice with shaved horseradish and condiments, as well as the most delicious starter in their Tuna Carpaccio. This is an amazingly crafted dish, how they get their tuna to such a thin yet beautifully firm and flavoursome presentation shows real craft, complimented by all the olives, capers & sunflower sprouts, it’s a star dish. We had the lobster roll, a staple dish which could easily be shortcut, but every detail has gone in to elevate this dish too. The brioche roll was caramelised perfectly, huge perfect lettuce leaves cradled a very generous amount of delicate lobster, and a huge bowl of rosemary shoestring fries and a fresh ‘slaw to side, it just looked amazing and tasted so too. Finished off with a delicious key lime pie, and a torched Swiss meringue on the side, this was one of the best of many meals we had on our holiday to the USA. Highly recommend and would certainly go back if we visit Austin again and try their evening sitting, which I imagine with the fairy lights in the tree’s, would be just as magical. Thank You.“
