“What a gem! The absolute best bahn mi in Austin! Plus they have espresso/coffee drinks now! And they give you a free cup of soup while you wait. Their new renovations also improved the atmosphere in a big way.The owner makes her own bread everyday, in addition to the entire pastry case (don’t leave without a dessert)!!I love going here for business meetings or when I’m meeting up with friends for lunch. Nobody I’ve taken here ever goes there and leaves unimpressed.I love the pork belly bahn mi & her sesame sweet bread. The owner always recognizes me when I come in & memorized my order. :)“
“This is an absolute gem. The food is excellent and you can tell the chef takes pride in the quality of the ingredients. The food is so good, every time you eat there its like you just learned some amazing secret. All other thai food in Austin is basically ruined for me now. I can’t go back.“
“100% halal and It was so good! Highly recommend the cashew chicken it’s a family favorite now! We also got the drunken noodles which were the perfect spice level at level 3. And we got the pepper steak which was perfectly tender and delicious! They were the sweetest two ladies running the truck and food was a good quantity. There was even parking near the food truck which is surprising! Best Thai food in Austin fs!“
“I just ate here today (3/21/2024), this is some of the best food I’ve had since moving to Austin ( I have been here for 2 years. Never had Thai food before but kiin dee has definitely made me a fan! And to top it off I ordered one killer noodle to find they put an extra one in there, free of charge ! Not sure if this was accident or not but I appreciate it! Sooooo good highly recommend.“
“We were in Austin and decided to try this place. From when we walked in to the server taking our orders to the food, everything was great! So much flavor to the food! We got the pineapple infused sake and the lychee infused sake.I love the pineapple infused sake better ?. Got the pork belly as appetizer and some pram ram and yellow curry. Definitely recommend ?️“
“Ever eat something so incredible your soul leaves your body for a minute? The panang curry does that.I keep coming back for it even though I can't handle spicy foods. It's worth the pain. I didn't know anything could have this many incredible flavors packed in every bite! Seriously so good I'm drooling just writing a review. And the owners are the absolute nicest people. I left a comment on my mobile order about not being able to handle super spicy and they immediately called me to let me know there wasn't a way to make it less spicy and double check that I still wanted it. They even tried to dilute it a bit to help me out, but I'd still eat this even if it melted my tastebuds off.15/10“
“Food was pretty good. Especially the pad woon sen I would definitely go back to try it again. However the lard nah was weird and was more like a soup. Not really supposed to be like an actual soup also did not provide the usual condiments (chili vinegar and chili flakes)We also got the duck noodle soup. Was ok to me, but the duck was really tender and just fell of the bone. Also the name prik noon and sai auo was also decent.Saw a lot of reviews about the bad service but I guess we got lucky because our server gave us normal service. Attentive and friendly.“
“Thai Esan was fast on a Friday night and so delicious! It’s been difficult to find really good Thai food in Austin and this is now on the top of my list. Got the yellow curry gang garee, pad Thai and egg rolls. The spice was legit. Outdoor seating available if you need but we just picked up! (It’s next door to a gas station so think low key but plenty of parking). It’s quaint and friendly service. Thank you for some great Thai take out!“
“Went on a Friday evening as a single and was seated immediately. It was busy but not full. The service was shockingly fast and the food was very good. I had the grilled octopus appetizer with the panang duck curry main. This was one of the best duck currys I have ever had. I definitely recommend this place. It is also a very fair price.“
“The food here is very good, they serve both sushi and some Thai dishes. I would probably come more if they had a gai pad king dish. The service is excellent, absolutely 5/5 stars every time. One thing I dont like is they dont serve the food together, its first come first serve.“
“This place is super good. The food is very flavorful. Its the best Thai place in town. Its very tasteful so if you don't like lots of favor beware but it was perfect for me and my husband. We will be back and highly recommend eating here.“
“It may look like a random restaurant at a pit stop, but Saigon is our favorite Asian joint in the Austin area. We make a 30 minute trip just for it.It's small, family run and the food is just delicious.Steamed pork dumplings are so perfectly airy and balanced it's ridiculous.Owners are sweet and kind and put a lot of effort to assure you enjoy your meal.“
“We came in early for lunch on a weekend and the place was already packed but luckily we got a table without wait. It's a cute little place with an open kitchen. We got the spring rolls, basil fried rice with duck and pad kee mao with chicken. The portions were big and food came out hot and quickly. The spring rolls were crispy with a nice plum sauce on the side. The pad kee mao tasted great with the right amount of veggies. The basil fried rice was amazing and it came with crispy juicy duck which went well with the rice.Would definitely come back to try other items.“
“Wow! I havent even finished my meal yet but needed to leave a review. I ordered the basil fried rice with chicken and medium spice. It's PERFECTLY seasoned and so flavorful. It was ready quickly during lunch on a Tuesday, I'll be back to try the rest of the menu. Thank you!!“
“Best authentic Thai food in Austin! I’ve spent over 5 months in Thailand and Thai Kruefha instantly took me back with each bite. They have my favorite Penang Curry and spicy Papaya Salad in Austin. They use great Thai chilis as well and the papaya salad was very spicy! The lady there is very nice and they have great service. Can’t wait to come back.“
“Very tasty food. The pad kapow was delightfully spicy and seasoned so well. I’m not normally a fan of ground or minced meat, but this was so good I would go back for it. The red curry was good too, huge portion of it. On the milder side of curries I’ve had, but no complaints. The chicken was well cooked and the inclusion of Brussel sprouts was nice. The mango sticky rice was delicious, very generous with the mango.Atmosphere is super pleasant. Lots of picnic benches and outdoor lights. Has a fun, chill energy. Several people bring their dogs, so things are very laid-back.“
“This restaurant is a family favorite. We love the spring rolls with the generous portions and that special crunchy stick inside. My personal favorite is the lemon grass tofu, Mom likes the grilled shrimp. We always order the green beans XO for the table. So delicious. Some very thoughtful vegan entrees include Spicy Vegan Hue style Vietnamese noodle soup and the Vegan 512 Vermicelli. Of course many dishes can also be made without meat, but it's nice to have a vegetable based broth option. They also have a vegan option for fish sauce if you so desire. The portions are generous. It's a great place for takeout. The prices are reasonable. What's not to love?“
“I used to live in Austin and I still think about this place to this day. THE BEST THAI FOOD EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The "Medium Spicy Beef Pad Thai" and the "Peanut Sauce Wings" composed a significant portion of the calories I consumed while living in Texas. I honestly don't know what black magic goes on in the kitchen here...but they have me absolutely hooked.Staff are also so kind too. My actual #1 favorite spot in Austin. I miss you guys.“
“Absolutely best thai food in Austin! I've tried many other places around town but this one just does it for me! Khao mun gai, massaman curry, Tom yum soup, crab rangoons... Yes please!!! The lunch specials are definitely worth dining in for.“
“Sap's is the spot for late night eats. That being said, get take out from here. The food is somehow better when you get take out. Eating is is a fine experience but they portions and the quality are better for the money when you get it to go.“
“Service is always so great here! The nice waitresses working tonight were so sweet and even offered to take a group photo for my family and I as we celebrated my birthday. They even brought out plates, cake knife, and a cake spoon even though they were about to close. They were so kind and friendly from when we walked in until we left. My favorite place to get boat noodles. Definitely recommend!“
“THIS IS THE BEST THAI IN TEXAS!!!! If I am in Austin I absolutely will stop here, their food is killer!!! The only thing I’d say is be careful with the spice, even leave 1 packs a little bit of a punch! I always order the Pad See-Ew and I highly recommend it. Enjoy :)“
“Ordered take out for the first time with low expectations, but I can happily say it won't be our last! Ordered pad Thai, mussaman beef, and Kao Soi. Each dish was really awesome, full of flavor, and very satisfying. Particularly good was the kao Soi! We have medium to low spice tolerance and I didn't ask for any adjustment to the spice level...and it was perfect. Just a little spice, but not overwhelming. Looking forward to trying other dishes. The only minor disappointment was the mango sticky rice. The mango was pretty good, but the black sticky rice was more mushy than sticky and wasn't as luxurious as that dish normally is. I probably wouldn't order that again. But overall, a great surprise.“
“Overall the food is good for the price! Great place to come w groups. They don’t take reservations but they do have a waiting list and we only had to wait 20 mins which wasn’t bad. The live music is a bit loud but gives the atmosphere a nice touch. The cuisine was good, the Pad See Ew with beef was the best thing we ate.“
