A beautiful restaurant. Table spacing was excellent and not noisy so we could talk. Service and wine were excellent. Food was mixed. Burrata was tasty but a little tough. Chicken properties were a little dry and not seasoned aggressively. Sauce and noodles were outstanding. Russets was very good. Paparadella bolognese had too much meat and not enough noodles: ratio was off for me. Meat lacked seasoning. Overall, a good experience but not great.
We usually love this place. We arrived early. The bar was busy, but we were seated and the place was maybe 2/3 full. Perhaps they were understaffed or the server forgot to put our orders in but we had to wait 20 minutes for drinks after ordering and then another 20+ minutes between first and second courses. The food was very good though.

Nice to see that consistency reigns at Vespaio. Superior cuisine, ambience, and service. I didn't make it the first year but got there as soon as I could (1999)! Moved away in 2012 and now back in town for a UT student daughter's sorority dad's weekend and was so very pleased to introduce her to the restaurant. Thanks mightily for a wonderful evening.
