If you say spicy hot you're going to get spicy hot but exceptionally flavorful!Ordered the Dos Taco plate which was very good nice and fresh and well plated... my friend had the chili rellenos which is her go-to every time she eats at this restaurant. It was my first time eating there on her recommendation and it was well worth it.Wait staff was very good. The server was very pleasant and accommodating!”

Great live pianist/vocalist singing so well even an atheist would tap their toes. I got the fried chicken with 3 sides - greens, yams, and mac n cheese. Honestly choosing just 3 was one of the hardest decisions of my entire life (so I'll be going back again very soon). I did steal some mashed potatoes from my husband, which are only available on Sunday and they are worth waiting all week for. But the star is THE FRIED CHICKEN I don't know what kind of magical process goes into creating a crispy thin skin with so much integrity...it is phenomenal. No skin sliding off, perfectly cooked, and no heating lamps here. Do yourself a favor and eat here ASAP. Waitstaff is attentive and super nice - we had a lovely meal!”

I got Paw Paws Platter with a substitute of Green Beans... don't miss these gems. The fish was tender and the shrimp were huge. My son got the Big Mouth Burger loaded with egg, bacon and cheese. He affirmed that it was the best burger he has ever had. The staff were excellent... nice, fast, and attentive.”

I’ve spoke with the owner a few times and he’s super friendly, and a NY native like myself. The only thing I wish they’d do is an actual website or even app to place orders. I don’t mind using google but it was a bit confusing with the verbiage used on the online menu ( until I got the hang of it). I hope this place continues to thrive even more than it has!”

I had the smoked turkey sandwich, the sea salt and pesto really came through and made it pop. My girlfriend had the Caesar salad, she appreciated the smokey flavor but also wished for some anchovies. We are both pretty critical when it comes to food but we were both happy to have found this place. Will definitely be back!”

Most importantly: infinite menudo. Not pictured are the made-to-order options that are part of the buffet: french toast, pancake, or they can warm up toast or tortillas. Ask when you order the buffet. The restaurant itself is on the rustic, smaller side: seats 50 max (probably less per fire code). There is additional parking next door by Clint's Liquors (the parking lots are connected by a small wooden foot bridge). Feels like a local diner, so if you are looking for something upscale or trendy look elsewhere. I don't want the place to be crowded anyway. Service is friendly. Good food at a good price!”

At El Corral Lozano, we found it! Yum! ¡La comida es muy muy rica! The quality of the food was also very good; my only complaint is that the portion size was small, smaller than I expect even for this price range (prices were quite low, but even for such low prices the portions were a bit small.) So I would prefer paying a little bit more and getting a bit more food. Thai food is often pretty light, because there are so many vegetables and the sauces are not that heavy, so I need to eat more of it to feel full.The atmosphere is very minimal, this is a run-down hole-in-the-wall in a run-down plaza. That's fine by me, it was clean and the lighting was pleasant so they had done the best they could do without a more expensive redesign of the interior. But it still was one of the more run-down looking restaurants we had eaten at during our time in Texas.”

“I if you had not tried the Marty taco. You don't know what you missing.. This is a great place to eat. They food is good especially the baked potatoes that's all they use. It is no boiled it is cooked on pit. The have special on the jail house tacos on Tuesday morning before 10am if u can't make it order it ahead of time they will hold it for u.. Awesome place and they salsa is g good”

They are known for breakfast but the lunch and dinner choices are amazing and good portions as well.I highly recommend the Denny’s in Bastrop. One of the best!!!”

“The food was delicious and friendly atmosphere. I had the shrimp po'boy and I had shrimp in every delectable bite. The sauce on the po'boy was very tasty. My husband had crawfish balls and etouffe. Lip smacking good. I am looking forward to a return trip.”

Service is always fast and friendly, menu is extensive (I like the burgers) and they have good deals from the pick 3 menu. Chips and salsa are so good too! “Stopped in for a quick breakfast bite with the kids as we headed out to Jester King to watch the eclipse. Kids had the chicken minis and a lemonade which they loved. Wife and I had the chicken and cheese biscuit meal which was great. Hot, fast and fresh with the customary excellent service.”

“Absolutely love this place! Amazing staff! Amazing food so full of flavor, true authentic Italian food. Always super fresh and always super fast we are never there more than 30 minutes between being seated, order taken, food brought out and eating. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I have been here twice and thus far this is my favorite place and worth every penny! The portions are perfect. You can share a plate with two people! “It's hit or miss, with this place, sometimes it's good other times it's cold or lacking flavor. But stay away from the beef it's a bit weird tasting after multiple trips. The crab Rangoon needs some work. The cream cheese they use is horrible even on the sushi, but I can't expect much from a buffet line...lol It's sad to say but the china buffet in rockdale is way better even though it's smaller.”

“We are new to the area and decided to try this restaurant with the family! We were seated quickly and my margarita was delicious. We ordered seafood as well as some traditional classic dishes and everything was so good! The molcajete de mar y tierra my husband ordered was my favorite. We also really enjoyed the music and atmosphere. Definitely coming back again!”
