If you are ever in any of Doña Carmen's Restaurant, it is definitely a must stop and eat here. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The best food I have had in a Restaurant hands down. Totally loved their food and the service!
The owner is usually on site (Boca Chica) and very attentive, the staff is prompt to take your order and meals are served warm and quickly. Food is authentic mexican cuisine and taste great, plenty of seating. Restrooms are limited to one person at a time but its a restaurant not a stadium so it's expected. A must try if you are in the area.

I have lived in Brownsville for over 20 years and Dona Carmen s is the best restaurant for Mexican food in town. I love the new restaurant on East Avenue. Coffee is great. Servers are very polite and quick to help you. I definitely recommend this place if you want to eat Mexican food.
