Gio’s is a Brownsville institution. It has been here for over 40 years and has been run by the same family since the beginning. Don’t go here expecting a fancy Italian restaurant. This is an old-school, cozy Italian joint. They treat everybody like family. The food is fantastic. The prices are moderate and fair considering the quality of the food. The place was definitely an experience, it has a home cooked environment, the food was excellent and tasty, however a bit pricey. I would definitely recommend for the experience! Great service by the way!
