The first time I came here, there was a winter storm, and I had just driven back into Dallas on icy roads. My partner and I were cold and hungry, and even though most restaurants and stores were closed due to the freezing weather, Jang Choong Dong was still open. They were so kind to stay open, and the piping hot soups were amazing and warmed us up. We came back again to try the jokbal, bossam, and sundae. All of it was phenomenal. Food and atmosphere are great. Seems like they take a lot of pride in the quality of their dishes. The Galbi was my favorite. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. In some other popular restaurants it comes out burnt half the time. There are quite a few other authentic Korean dishes on the menu as well. The service was attentive and prompt despite it being busy. Will come here again.

A quaint, cozy place with very homely vibes, serving traditional Korean foods. We ordered the Galbi Jungshik or the Korean Beef Ribs Meal, and it was so heartwarming and comforting, especially with the cold, cloudy weather on that day. Absolutely delicious! And a very nice and sweet staff. Highly recommend! ?
