We came here looking for ramen - she very politely explained they no longer make it because of limited kitchen space. I was pouty about it, but we decided to stay because we were already eating late and we were starving.We each got a lunch bento box, and I was blown away. My non-fish-liking husband got the broiled mackerel, and loved it - he gave me a bite and it was savory and buttery delicious. Who would imagine that a nondescript strip mall hides the best no fuss Japanese food in Austin? Everything - from appetizers to tea - was impeccable in quality and presentation, and our waitress was very kind and caring.

Tbh I'd say it's a 4 star by California and Hawaii standard but in Austin this is definitely 5 star. At least it's authentic Japanese. Let's preserve this place.
