Restaurantji's Clifton picks for the finest Mexican cuisine.
“I've always enjoyed eating here despite, the not so great food and service. The waitress was pretty friendly today, I just wished there was more of a greet when walking into a establishment of any kind. The food was just as expected for 2 onion and cheese enchiladas. Just a little blan for my taste. You can definitely tell the price increase, as it was hard to find a simple meal less than 10$“
“Well you're in Clifton Texas and you've gotta fix for some authentic Tex- Mex and the atmosphere to go with it. So I pulled into El Charro Mexican Grill. Not real busy at the time so service was exceptional. Early afternoon on a Thursday if I recall. I looked at my watch and we'll it was 5 o'clock somewhere and I'm on vacation. It was every bit of 95 degrees plus outside so I had a hankering for a Batanga! Maria, my waitress was also the bartender this time of day. She gladly made me a Batanga and she has the secret ingredient for this super popular drink. ( Mexican Coca-cola). Although Pepsi can be substituted. She did great for her first Batanga and I was ecstatic to drink it. I ordered the Tampequira dinner and it was excellent also.“
“I went to the restaurant and I ordered a Chicken fajita chimichanga and I was totally surprised about that the taste. I've had the same thing at other places and they were good at the time, BUT when I took a bite of my meal at RS4 I was so blown away by the flavor that was in the Chimichanga. I'm definitely going to be visiting this restaurant alot from now on. And I would definitely recommend anyone to go there and give them a chance to impress how good they are !!!!!!“
“Small town restaurant with authentic aviance. I would have enjoyed a cleaner dining experience. I enjoyed the chicken fried steak and the mashed potatoes, which are not on the menu. Great flavor with appropriate salt and seasoning. Though, I should mention that the steak was only about 50% the size of the breading. The vegetable medley was unpleasant to my pallet, which surprised me as I like all the ingredients. However, I suggest you try it for yourself as I may have visited on an off day. So, to sum up I recommend you give them a shot.“
“The place was crowded when we got there, but we were seated right away. I had their Chili Rellenos,, which were not poblanos but rather slender peppers, (perhaps Anaheims?), stuffed with picadillo beef. They were covered with a cheese sauce rather than a tomato sauce. They were good, the service was good, and the place was clean.“
“Nice backroads drive led us to Ay Jalisco Meridian. Coldest Beer Ever! (Ask for the cold mug) our combo fajitas were stacked! And the margaritas were smooth. We were pleasantly surprised. (And Jackie's antiques down the road was a blast from the past.“

“I always get a chorizo, egg, and cheese burrito here whenever Rankin automotive across the road services my car. The service is fast, the server/checkout lady is friendly and has conversations with me as I wait for my order. This is my favorite place to get burritos. The tortillas look handmade and the food is hot and delicious every single time.Parking: The parking lot is a little small, but it accommodates the amount of vehicles well. I've never had trouble parking or saw anyone else unable to park.“
