“It's not often that I get to use the word panache to describe something, but that's what Scotty's Bistro has...Scotty's Bistro has panache. Tucked away in Coleman, TX, this place should be a landmark. I stopped in for lunch while traveling for work. Nothing about this restaurant is ordinary. The decor and cleanliness stand out when you enter. The menu looks amazing. All I got to sample was the club sandwich and fries at the recommendation of the owner, Victor. The ingredients used are not the average establishment fare. The toasted bread (maybe a sourdough) was the perfect texture and taste. The vegetables were fresh and selected for premium quality (or so it seemed). The fries, though not fresh cut are prepared beyond merely frying and salting. They seasoned and cooked well to provide a crisp texture and no oily excess. I'll be returning to Coleman just to see what the rest of Scotty's menu has to offer.”
“Buster did a great job. Very busy around 6PM, several large tables, managed it all quickly and carefully. Food arrived proper temp and was best steaks we have had in a very long time. One advice, the steaks have heavy black pepper, too much for my wife but perfect for myself.Dietary restrictions: Black pepper, celiacKid-friendliness: Several children and babies were perfectly behaved and mannered… good job parents!”
“My family stopped in for dinner. I had the catfish and my husband had a chicken fry. This restaurant is small and the bathroom is outside on the back of the building. If you can get past that, you will love it. You can tell the regulars eat here. Our waitress knew everyone who came in and drove though the drive through. The food was very homestyle and delicious. We will be back.”
“First time to visit this lovely place!! The COFFEE, BAKED GOODS and a friendly service with a smile ? was definitely a great way to start the day! THANK YOULooking forward to coming back soon!!”
“We were traveling with two other couples who enjoy wine, and RLV in Coleman did not disappoint. There was a wine to suit everyone's tastes. We lounged on the comfy sofas by the fireplace and had a wonderful afternoon. The tasting room has a rustic, industrial, modern feel with the most beautiful photography by a local artist featured throughout the space. The Toro was my personal favorite wine.”
“The food is melt in your mouth - Delicious! Love the atmosphere-football on all tv's & full barJosie Wells was our waitress both times - top notch service!!Our first visit was at Christmas- we drove over to Coleman to shop downtown and decided to eat at the cattle drive. We went back last night. The "cowboy sushi" - our new favorite appetizer.Worth the drive from anywhere!! Our new favorite place to eat. Go in hungry come out full with leftovers to eat later!”
“Great choice of beers and pizza. You can watch them make the crusts and put them in the pizza oven. Comfortable seating and beautiful modern decor in a historic building. Try the McConauhaze beer with your pizza!”
“The pitmaster and owner came out to talk to us, awfully nice fellow. I Had the brisket and sausage and potato salad. Wasn't mad, the brisket was moist, and flavorful. I didn't need sauce. Sausage was smoked just right. I had a little difficultly understanding where to go to order, and the drink situation. Other than that, it holds its own as a spot for bbq in a small townVegetarian options: That ain't happening hereParking: A little tight but easy enough”
“Great little quiet dinner on Saturday night. I had burrito and wife nachos. But good. Salsa was good but could be hotter. They have a big selection of both Mexican & American food. Our server was quick and got everything ee needed correct.”
“Every positive word to this establishment. You ladies cook the best food. I have told everyone about the enchiladas. My husband and brother in law eat here often and love it. So do I. If your in Colman Texas during the week . Go eat here , you will not regret it. Many thank you's”
“??Man o man! I wish there was a place like this in San Angelo. I had the burger on a jalapeño white cheddar bun. One of the best burgers I've ever had. Looks like only 2 people run the place. But that doesn't water down the service. It was an awesome experience. I also had the dry Cajun wings. And to my surprise they have HOMEMADE KETCHUP!! Yeah... right, in the small town of Coleman. Triple D's need to come here. I hope this review directs everyone to Don Luis! I can't stop raving about them! I didn't get the woman's name in the drive thru, but thank you! Thank you very much. My belly is full!??????”
“Best little roadside bar in Texas. The owners are top notch people. Locals are friendly. Music is always good. And the Crawfish Boil they host annually the first Saturday in April is the best I have ever tasted and hard to beat. If you're ever passing thru Coleman, stop in and see Danny & Debbie. You won't be disappointed. They are great. Excellent pit stop for a motorcyclist out on a cruise to rest a bit and relax with a cold one.”
“It's a great place to go, a place where you can relax and let your hair down. Be yourself, great bartenders, great atmosphere, great people. Whiskey Casing is a place that is safe, full of locals. Stop by and see why I think it's the best place in town.”
“Ordered on the app and when I got there I was told they were out of the sauce I wanted. Normally wouldn’t be a big deal but I really wanted the sauce. Lady was super nice and refunded me since I didn’t want it anymore. Not her fault the app doesn’t know they are out.”
“We love stopping at this Sonic. The people are always pleasant and they are conscientious of our dietary restrictions. The hamburgers always taste fresh and look beautiful. This time we tried the pickle fries and they were quite tasty.”
“This place is quaint, out of the way, and absolutely beautiful. It's a small getaway where you can absolutely unplug. No phones, no tvs. The food is fantastic! And, they have a dog on premises who is adorable.! Come for a stay. You won't regret it!Rooms: Small and quiet.”
“Wonderful people that make amazing food! The brisket tacos are one of my favorites and the sweet and spicy chicken with fried rice and wontons are SO GOOD! Fast and very friendly service.”
“Everything was great and the price for the all you can eat fish can't be beat. I had just the fish plate not the all you can eat and it was more then enough, but if I wanted more she would've changed my order to the all you can eat.”
“I've lived in this area for years and today I finally stopped in for lunch with the work crew. There was 12 of us and it was no issue at all.... I personally ordered the Turkey Hot VSS(Valera Style Sandwich) with fries. It was very good. Large portion and very fresh. Every one's food looked great and was all brought out hot and fresh.Thank you for a great lunch and I look forward to visiting again”
“Favorite place to eat in Santa Anna. Excellent food and service. Even the other customers are friendly. We usually end up pretty full from the salad bar and beans and have to take most of the dinner home. It's great reheated too.”
“The DQ here is great for a quick break. If you’re in a hurry, it’s best to call ahead as they prepare your order fresh. This is by far the cleanest DQ I’ve ever visited.”
“Found this gem just traveling through! Very friendly and nice staff! Ordered Curry Chicken, Chicken fried rice, Shrimp and Broccoli, and Hot and Spicy Chicken and everything was very good! The kids loved the rice. We will make a stop here again the next time we are traveling through!”
