Probably one of the worst Japanese places I’ve been to. AC was broken, which I understand is not in their control. However, I walked out paying $27 for a chicken teriyaki “plate”. The chicken breast was unseasoned and rather small. There was hardly any teriyaki sauce, and what was there was very thin. Then, to top it off, the vegetables were resembling the mixes you get in the frozen isle at the grocery store. No seasonings on anything. Very disappointing and not worth the money or the time spent.

Weekend stop in CC and this was walkable to where we were staying. Even though they were busy we got seated at sushi bar. Sapporo served with cold glasses. Bento box was delicious - chicken with sesame, rice, house salad with ginger dressing, tempura vegetables and a plate of sashimi. They even included two bite size cheesecake - I love a sweet dessert to finish a meal. Server checked on us a few times.

$80 for barely anything. Ordered the sashimi platter which had the smallest cuts of sashimi I’ve ever seen, not thin sliced, literally barely a bite for apparently $40. The vegetable roll is not your typical veg roll, it’s literally lettuce and raw carrot. No sauce or anything, not sure if that would make it better though. Shrimp tempura roll was meh, very bland. Ginger salad was also unlike any other sushi restaurant I’ve been to, I received a box of broccoli, lettuce, tomatoes and some shreds of carrot with no dressing. Just plain greens. The bento box is small, this place just seems incredibly stingy with their portions for the cost. Was hoping since we were close to the coast fish would be better but the tuna and escolar were the only edible ones on the platter. The salmon was incredibly slimy and I’m not sure what the other 2 fish were but one of them definitely tasted a bit.. dated. So although we visit Corpus all the time we will definite not be coming back here. Way better options for half the cost and without the bad customer service.

Service was absolutely great. The sushi chef was very helpful and recomended a whole lot of great options. Tried some of their Japanese beers the Kirin light was a great matchup with the Palm Spring Rolls. Both recomended and the Avocado ball wich name escapes my mind was a great starter. Finished up with some japaneae icecream. The green tea was my top one but i will be coming back to try the chocoflan and the banana desert. Exchanged some sushi with my coworkers so we can try a bit of everything and none disapointed. I will have to get those names so i can order them again. This place was Chilero Vos!!!!Parking: The parking is in the back of the shop entrance is on the left hand side of the building and over that the parking lot on the left corner has a walkway that conects both lots.

My favorite sushi spot in Corpus Christi! Wayne and his wife Lilly, have taken much care and love and it shows! Enjoy the purple dragon roll, bluefin toro, Japanese and Santa Barbara Uni, Medai, salmon belly, and much much more!!! If you want to simply enjoy a night out in great company, ask for Kayoko! She is much more than just a server! Her smile, laughter, and enthusiasm is infectious and makes the overall experience a nice break from our hectic work schedules. Don’t forget to order some of their unfiltered sake ?❤️

Bad experience… we don’t even got the utensils or napkins we had to ask for them. My drink never arrived. Food under seasoned. My kid got the tempura plate and it was raw inside, it tasted like wet flour. I had the worst ramen ever here. The sushi was ok but nothing outstanding.

Food was good, but our waitress ruined the whole experience. She never refilled my wife's drink, was rude when my wife asked for more sauce. She literally said HERE very rudely when she brought it to her. She also did not bring out part of our order when my wife and her discussed how she wanted the item prepared. I don't know if she was just off that night or what, but that was some of the worst service we have had in a long time, it ruined the whole visit for us.
