I would give this place six stars on a five star rating. My friends and I drove down to corpus to see a hooks game.We were looking for something different and found this place on Google maps. The food was excellent, exceptional! All three of us had different meals and all were very goodThe service was excellent as well. Ask for Shea. She will treat you right
We walked up, and didn't know what to expect. Had read great reviews, but you never know. Our appetizer was phenomenal (Shrimp and crab queso)!!! Drinks were great, our main courses were great, service was great. We had a great experience. Price was great too! 3 people 99 dolla. You should definitely check them out.
We are here for the second time in a few days while visiting Corpus Christi. The first time was so good we came back. Both times, the food has been amazing. The tuna burger is seared to perfection, which seems to be hard to come by in other restaurants. Also, the bun was more like brioche, not sourdough as described, which pairs even better with the tuna. The ahi tuna salad was also seared to perfection and has a great mix of fresh veggies and greens, unlike many salads, which have mostly just greens. The ginger aioli is great with the salad and is also served with the burger. We also had the fried zucchini which is like what my mom used to make and was served fresh and hot. The waitress we had both times did a great job as well. I highly recommend that place. We will be back next time we visit Corpus Christi.
Amazing seafood in a small place.Doesn't look like much from the outside, but don't be fooled. The neighborhood may be a bit run down, but this place isn't.The crab filled fish and the fish sandwich were great. The Gator Nuggets were a great appetizer.Call ahead and reserve a table. I would have given 5 stars, but the waiter mentioned, just as we received our entrees, that our table will be available shortly to some guests who just came in. I took extra time to finish my meal after I've heard his comment.Certainly will go back, but I'll make sure to reserve a table.
Food was pretty good, service was OK at best. To top it off the server added a gratuity for 5 adults. I get we had kids as well so technically over the 6 that they could Grat, but as a person that tips big because I've been a server half my life it wasn't in their best interest. The star rating is not impacted by the gratuity issue though and has only to do with the first sentence.
This place is awesome. The oysters, fish and shrimp tastes so fresh and tender. Also, the employees are so friendly. I would highly recommend coming here.
Steven the manager was great. Our party was large so of course our wait was a little long on a Saturday nite. Steven came by every few minutes to check on us and let us know how much longer our wait would be. Once seated, we found out that they had run out of fresh oysters. Steven went back on his own and shelled us a dozen personally because he knew we were disappointed. I have never seen a manager go out of his way to take care of their guest like Steven did. Oh and by the way, the food was amazing and our waitress Lauren was amazing also. We enjoyed our visit and DEFINITELY will be back!!!!!
Absolutely fantastic! Staff was super welcoming, knowledgeable, and patient with our family of 9! Great vibes and atmosphere. Prices are awesome for the quality and portions of food! I knew we were in the right place when I heard red dirt on the speakers and saw a staff member with a Koe Weztel hat ? Food, atmosphere, and service are outstanding!
Stopped in today for lunch. Food was really good with several seafood choices. Service was excellent.
We came in on vacation, and I loved this place! Their crab stuffed fish was delicious! Same with their country fried steak and ahi tuna burger. Live music and local feel was everything we could ask for. But my favorite part was our waiter Latissa? Or "T". They were great and always on it with drinks and food. Great service and great food! Can't wait to come back.
It gets packed fast so be ready to wait. The waiting is worth it though. I got mine faster because I sat at bar but if you have a group good luck. The staff is very polite and courteous. They constantly checked guests. I has blackened fish fries and salad very delicious. They really need another place like before but then Corona,?.
This place is amazing!! The food is delicious. The service is superb. And the staff is very friendly and welcoming. If you are looking for really good food and great service this is the place to go. It's definitely worth the wait.
Well we attempted to have oysters here the Sunday before memorial day. We expected it to be busy due to the holiday weekend so we showed up at 5pm, put our names on the list (we did have a party of 10) were told 40 minutes or so wait. Shortly after we received a message saying it would be an hour. So we waited a little more than an hour. Got seated just to find out they were out of oysters and a few other top pick. Then after giving our drink order we were informed that the kitchen was backed up and would take 45 minutes or more to get our food. We order and the only person working the front of house made sure our kids meals came out fairly quick. Mean while we watched two tables of 2 and one of 4 that were seated after us order eat and leave before our meals came out. It was clearly not the staffs fault. Tee our server was absolutely killing it serving and busing tables all while dealing with the attitudes of the frustrated customers all by her self. She needs all raise. When we finally received our food it was delicious! Clearly management/owners should reevaluate some of there processes. If we would have been informed that they may be out of oystersbefore we were seated when we put our name down we would have had a chance to go elsewhere. We expected a little more out of a restaurant that has been open 50 years. Always a bummer to go to a place called the oysters bar and not get oysters.
Oysters were delicious but there were so many flies on the outdoor patio. Wait time was ok. Indoor is pretty crowded so we chose to sit outside.
This place was okay. We are visiting Corpus and were excited to try this place after a friend recommended it. We arrived and were seated immediately which was good. As soon as we sat down our server came right over and asked for our drink order and we had to order right on the spot without really looking at the menu. We then ordered the New Orleans oysters and they were good. After the oysters we ordered our entrees. I ordered the spicy panko shrimp and my boyfriend tried ordering the stuffed flounder which we saw how people raved about it on the reviews. The flounder was not clearly listed on the menu so he asked the server about the crab stuffed fish and the server wasn’t able to tell him clearly what type of fish it was. My boyfriend went ahead and ordered the crab stuffed fish. The food came out pretty quickly but when we got it we noticed that some of the sides were incorrect and my boyfriend’s fish was not stuffed with anything, it just had some shrimp at the top. We did not feel like dealing with sending the food back so we just ate it. My shrimp weren’t spicy and honestly were a bit salty. Fries were soggy. The food and the service were honestly mediocre at best. Overall disappointed.
