Very good! Worth a stop. The decor is very rustic and the building IS old. That's part of the charm. The food is extremely good and everyone was very nice. I had the BBQ poboy with a mixture of meat and the baked potato salad along with black eye peas. Another point is they have Coke Zero!
Rude ass customer service. First time here and the absolute worst experience No greeting coming in or no thank you going out or after I paid , cashier seems to hate her job Straight up disrespectful and speaking with attitude Will Never ever ever return Brisket was served COLD! Next time I'm going to Howard's waste of money
Great food will go again!
The food is good and portions are very generous but no matter how full you get, the peach cobbler is a MUST!
Bbq was yummy.. nice scenery felt relaxing enjoying our food..
Great amosphere, great food, service. Yummy tender bbq!.
My wife and I each got a pulled pork sandwich. She had a Texas taters salad and coleslaw for sides and I had corn and coleslaw from my side. Everything was great! The cherry on top, figuratively, was the peach cobbler that came with our combo meals. I love strawberries and blueberries and I like peaches but I don't eat nearly as many of them as I do strawberries and blueberries. That cobbler was out of this world. It is the owner's grandmothers recipe. Speaking of the owner, he's really nice. This place oozes Texas BBQ as soon as you open the door. The interior is mostly would with a lot of cool memorabilia on the walls and throughout the restaurant, the staff is friendly, and the food is great. This is the perfect place to go for lunch after you tour the outstanding USS Lexington.
We ordered the Texas Reuben with two sides. The sandwich had a sour taste to it (not from the saurkreaut) and came with a side of barbeque sauce. I don't know if that was to cover up whatever cheese or condiment has that taste but, bleh! The black-eyed peas are straight out of a can and the potato salad was so-so. They do try to appease you because of the lackluster food by adding a tiny (you read it right) scoop of peach cobbler (it's actually peach buckle) to the meal. The service was great but overall, it wasn't worth the drive or the money. We won't be doing that again.
What a great find! BBQ is spot on, decor is awesome! BUT the customer service of fantastic. Y'all Are doing something right! Thank you!
Staff was amazing. Super friendly. David needs to give Gabbi and the front counter workers a raise!
Very good food. beef ribs were great ?
I loved all of the old decor, made me feel right at home. It was freakin beautiful in there. So much kool stuff. And the brisket was to dam tender, they did a great job for moms wedding. Thankyou guys. You were awesome if I'm back in corpus I will definitely be coming back
Food was not bad but, it's so disgusting to see a rat walking on the floor next to our table inside the restaurant. I just hope that the Texas Public Health Department go visit them and make them pay for not having any pest control set. When we told them about the rat, they just acted like if they were already tracking. If you see one rat, that probably means that there's a lot more. What a shame! Rat pee is very dangerous!
Hoegemeyer’s is our new, favorite place to go for a great bbq meal. Their meats are flavorful, moist and fall off the bone tender. Unbelievably delicious in our opinion. Their friendly service and barn style atmosphere made it a very inviting.experience. The place was clean and had a comfortable rustic feel. Their prices are budget friendly. We will definitely be back.
We LOVED eating lunch here today. We are visiting corpus for spring break and needed some good Texas bbq and we found it here! The food was amazing! The staff was friendly and the owner even came and visited with us as we ate. Very cool ambiance inside the old barn, Old unique doors and really neat decor. This is a definite “go to” if your in corpus.
