Went there to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary and hate to say that we are very disappointed. We got there at 7:00pm and did not leave there until 10pm not because we wanted to be there that long but that's how long it took us to finally eat and the place wasn't even busy. Took waitress forever to get anything we needed. I ordered a Prime Rib and i specifically told the waitress that it had to be well done (medical reasons) and it came smothered in something that looked like the thickest gravy I had ever seen, I asked her why they put gravy on prime rib and she said that it was Au jus sauce. I cut into it and it was dripping in blood, now I have this thick au jus mixed with blood all over my plate???. I brought it up to her when she came to check on us 10 minutes later, meanwhile I am starving, she takes the prime back and says she will have it fixed of course I tell her that I don't want the gravy over it, she comes right back with a fresh prime rib drops it off and takes off doesn't even wait for me to cut into it to see if it is okay, now I know why the second one was RAW also. I was so livid, I did not send this one back because I was so hungry I just ate around the red. It was all downhill from there. I paid well over $200 and lost three hours of my life tonight at this place. We have been here several times and it has never been this bad. The only reason I didn't ask for the manager was because my husband wanted to eat here and have a nice anniversary dinner so I didn't want to ruin our anniversary by complaining. When we got in the car my husband told me that we would never eat here again, he did not enjoy his meal either. I told him that I wanted to complain to the manager but I didn't want to ruin our night and he said, " you needed to complain when you are spending 200.00 of our hard earned money on bad service.

This was our first time here and it was definitely a different experience in Corpus Christi. Our waiter Chris was very informative on the menu. He asked if it was our first time which I thought was extremely helpful so he was able to give us some great choices. Great waiter! The fact that they take thier time in bringing you the appetizer and then wait to bring you your soup or salad after your done with your appetizer was the best. Most restaurants bombard you with appetizers, then your salad and you food and your tables covered and you have no room. This was definitely a delightful dinner we finished our appetizer he boxed it up and then brought our salads once we were done then brought our entrees. Perfect timing. The food was excellent. The drinks were great he even went into details on all they had to offer including telling us about the bar in the back with live music. We will definitely be returning. Whether it’s date night or just feeling like some nice ambiance atmospheric time this is the place!

We picked a "fine dining" restaurant for our anniversary dinner. We visited Katz21s website and read the dress codes and dressed appropriately.The stuffed lobster tail and rack of lamb were good, as were the wines. However, I'm withholding a five star for atmosphere, because their dress codes said no ball caps, and there were 3 men sitting at tables wearing their caps, and no one said a word to them. They should have been stopped at the door and given notice! There is nothing more despicable than seeing a grown man wear a hat at the dinner table!Why post a dress code if the establishment will not enforce the codes?

Katz 21 was the best place I've ever eaten at. I took a beautiful lady out to dinner for a date and I couldn't of picked a better place to take her. The food was amazing. The ribeye steak was the best I've ever had. The waiters and service where extremely respectful and waited on us exactly how it should be done. Endless selection of wine and spirits for the lady and even had beer for me. The drinks where great. Dim lit but not dark. Had a very romantic vibe and the other customers where very friendly and didn't get loud or obnoxious and just the whole atmosphere was excellent for a date night. It is a little pricey but well worth it. Especially if your trying to really show your woman a great and romantic time but still get amazing food. Thanks Katz 21 I will definitely come again!

Took 52 minutes from the time we checked in for our reservation (made weeks in advance) to be seated. Once seated we sat for over 30 minutes without being greeted by a waiter/waitress and decided to leave.

Didn’t receive a call. We were moved to the bar waited about 30 minutes while other couples who were barely sat were already getting their orders in. This was unacceptable.

First timer going to Katz. Just moved from Vegas. I was disappointed at first. My wife and I were brought to our table but nobody approached us for 12 minutes. I can understand it was super busy but the restaurant was just about 1/2 full, this was on February 15, 2024 at 630pm. John Livingston passed by our table and asked us if we have been helped. I told him that we were disappointed because nobody approached us yet even just to ask initially what we wanted to drink. I have never in my life waited 12 minutes before someone at least acknowledged us. I was impressed with John Livingston, he made a good service recovery after I explained to him that I was kind of disappointed waiting for 12 minutes an no one has approached us yet. He gave a good service recovery on behalf of your establishment by giving us something on the house. There were a few negative points such a server brought us something that we did not order. Another one was a soup that we ordered, the server who brought it out didn't bring us soup spoons. I thought that these people are probably just being trained. Other than that, the food was great. Jonathan's service was great and should be applauded for his great customer service.
We were lucky enough to get a table in the boardroom with the special entertainment. After being married a long time, we don't need quiet romantic ambiance, we want to giggle and enjoy the evening. And we sure did!

After arriving at 7:15 and checking in we were told they were just clearing the table and it would be ready in a few minutes...we waited 50 more minutes to be seated. Once we were seated we waited another 30 minutes and were never even acknowledged or offered a drink. I would understand if they were swamped but at this time there were 6 empty tables in the dining area. We got up and walked out and another couple was right behind us. I could not fathom spending $125 a plate after being so rudely disregarded. My husband has been working very long days in Corpus for months away from his family and he put so much time and effort into making this day special for me while visiting him. We ended up eating burritos in the hotel lobby ordered from Los Altos (which were amazing) WOULD NOT RECOMMEND KATZ 21 TO ANYONE!

Had reservations placed online for Valentine's Day 3 weeks prior. Was called a week later stating the main room was already booked but could sit in bar area at requested time. Was never informed it was going to be a pre fix menu during the confirmation call. Service was beyond what was expected. Reservations were for 715 and never even received our first course until 8. Considering the menu you would think that courses would come out faster. Where we were seated must have been understaffed. Needless to say we did not conclude our dinner until 10pm due to such the slow service. The food was mediocre considering the price. This was the first time I had been there because of suggestions and it will be the last.

We arrived at 5:45, with a 5:45 reservation for 2 on Valentine's Day. The smuggest arrogant hostess I've ever encountered cut me off mid sentence to tell me our reservation was cancelled and she had called to inform me. I pulled out my phone, showed her my call log and asked her to point out her phone number, of course there was none. The manager whispered in her ear to seat us in the night club next door. Had we wanted to go to a night club we would have. Not only this but the terrible hostess in a tone reserved for small children that were in trouble told my wife and I that we had to literally leave by 7 because there were others with non-“cancelled” reservations that would need our seat. So after a few minutes in a booth in the corner of a bar I excused myself from the table and sought out the manager. Bottom line, I offered to pay her $500 to seat us in the restaurant. She immediately agreed. When we were seated my wife and I both instinctively counted the empty tables, I asked my wife if she noticed the 13 empty tables, she smiled and said, you missed the 3 on the other side of the booth, it's actually 16. When we left at 7:45 ish, there were still 8 empty tables. The food was really good, the server was very good, the treatment at the door was ridiculous and the manager should not have extorted me. I don't recommend this place at all.

Reservations for valentines. Seated at the bar instead with sportscenter reporting about shootings and someone's Spotify playlist. Waitress never checked on whether we liked the food. Steaks were great. Butter poached lobster chewy and tough. Mandatory 25 dollar tip per person on a 2 person table.
Filet was the best we ever had! Perfectly cooked and great flavor. Worth the price! Honey walnut salad was the bomb. Great wine selection. Service was great. We enjoyed every second there.
