I have never been to Padre Island before so when I asked my local friends where to eat, this was the unanimous choice. They were correct! Fried pickles, blue cheese on the burger, onion rings, French fries, all good after a long day at the beach. There’s not a lot of seating, but a booth was available for my group. Highly recommended for the food and its close proximity to the gulf.

Called ahead for a to go order and was told that they were far too busy and they were not placing to go orders. This is funny because 40 minutes later after ordering and receiving my food I had to take it to go anyways. It took 40 minutes to get a cheeseburger and fries, the cheeseburger was overcooked and the bun was hard. The place was busy but there were about 60 guests only with a lot of empty tables. My plans to eat in-house didn't work out because I did not have the time and had a prior commitment and did not think I had to block out 1 hour for a cheeseburger. Prices and quality are definitely a tourist trap, I can check it off my list but will not return

The food was cold, and the meat was still raw. Fries were old and cold.

Came in right at opening on a Sunday, and I was really hesitant based upon some of the mixed reviews. My husband had the burger which he really liked (it was also really massive). I had the lemon pepper wings which were some of the best I've had in Corpus. My kids had the buffalo wings and tenders which were also a big hit. The fried pickles were really good too and I'm picky about them.

Island vibe, vacation (high) prices, and a 35 minute wait for average burger and fries.

We had to get take out as even having a patio they are not pet friendly. We ate in vacation and she goes with us. Burger was expensive and over cooked. I could not taste the bbq sauce on mine and all condiments came in little packets. Such a shame as I was looking forward to a realy good burger.

This place has the best burgers in the city. The wings are very delicious as well. I recommend the LuLu burger and the honey cholula wings.

I usually love this place. But on this visit, our VERY EXPENSIVE burgers and fries were all cold and soggy after we waited for a long time for our number to be called. I doubt we'll be back.

We drove over from Port A during spring break. We arrived shortly after they opened, so not busy at all. There was parking right out front, but it was a little tricky pulling out with cars turning in off the highway. Our group of four all got the Dr. Padre, some with some without all the fixings. We had fries, tots, and onion rings for sides. My burger had all the veggies and grilled onions. It was delicious! The meat was thick, flavorful, not dry but not dripping everywhere. The bun was sweet, soft, and slightly toasted. The bbq was sweet, but not overwhelming, and the bacon added a salty, savory contrast. And the burger was huge! My onion rings were crispy and cooked well...nothing to write home about, but solid. Fries were crispy and seasoned. Tots were good. We sat outside, lots of seating in or out and TVs in and out as well. It was pricey for a burger and fries, and we had to pick up our food at the counter and bussed our own table. Regardless, when we're in the area we know where to go for a great burger!
