Water Street Oyster Bar stands out as not only a staple but also the epitome of elegance in our city’s dining scene. From the moment you step inside, the calm and inviting ambience welcomes you, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. We started with a dozen Blue Point oysters, each one bursting with freshness and flavor. The selection of local Gulf oysters and other varietals offered a delightful variety. Alongside, the shrimp picayune stole the show with its perfect balance of sweet and spicy flavors, accompanied by perfectly grilled toast points. For our main course, we indulged in the quick and satisfying poke bowl. Opting for the Lulu with yellowfin tuna and the Shoyu Salmon with Atlantic salmon, we were treated to a symphony of fresh flavors. From the succulent proteins to the crisp vegetables, every bite was a culinary delight.Water Street Oyster Bar has truly set the bar high for fine dining in our city, and it’s a place I’ll gladly return to for more unforgettable meals.

Went there for dinner and while waiting to be seated, my cousin was pushed by another customer and staff did not assist, we walked away to wait our turn and when we returned we were seated upstairs. She too our order for beverages and appetizers, 49 min later the waitress returned with waters and appetizers and informed us we would not be served alcoholic beverages because she felt uncomfortable. Maybe we were having too much fun but it was very degrading and the management did not help at all.Maybe the customer is always right only if you are the right shade of skin at this establishment. The manager would NOT provide her name to me and I will never ever return to that restaurant. We gladly gave our business to the new Fridas restaurant since seafood and alcohol were served everywhere else not just here. It was a very weird and hostile experience. I live up north never had I experienced racism like I did here. Disgusted by the way management handled our quiet complaint.

Service was a joke. the food was good but if u want to wait 1 hour to eat after ordering it, with no waiter to fill empty drinks when u wait for food.

Took a lunch break during a beach visit, lured by the promise of varietal oysters. Today they had 2 Canadian oysters, a Maine variety and their own farmed oysters. We ordered a half dozen of each and we're happily surprised by the flavor. The drinks are delightful (salty dog and Venus were amazing) and their Mac and Cheese was amazing. The seafood tower was amazing and our server Lee took amazing care of us. Finished off with Pineapple cheesecake and Key Lime pie and they were both some of the best desserts I've had. It pulls it's weight amongst some of my favorite California seafood spots. A++.

It was tasty! Other reviewers told me to order oysters and shrimp, so I did that, haha! However, the price is a bit high..I visited at night and paid the original price in full.. But I recommend other travelers to take advantage of 50% discount in the happy hour between 3 and 6 p.m.It was tasty! Other reviewers told me to order oysters and shrimp, so I did, haha! Oysters were delicious, fresh, tender, melting in your mouth. We chose local ones from Rockport and that was the bingo!

A bit of a let down. We stay in Corpus just to go eat at Water Street. We ordered drinks and two appetizers. Those hit the table before our bar drinks. It was not busy since there was no wait. Usually we wait, which is no problem. Appetizers were on point. Midway thru our appetizers, our bar drinks arrived- draft beer, vodka tonic and lime. Easy peasy drinks.Main dish looked like the sides had been sitting under the heat lamp a tad too long, till the fish came off the grill. The nueces crawfish sauce looked stale- ( refer to picture)…rice was, at best warm., broccoli was cold. The server was great. The kitchen and bar let her down.

Water Street now thinks they own a public street. The painted "to go parking" on the street curb and put signs on a public sidewalk.Who in the city would let them do this?

Loved our experience at Water Street Oyster Bar! Alexandria, our server, was wonderful, attentive and recommended the best cocktails and appetizers. Dinner was fantastic, too. What a beautiful and vibrant restaurant in a great location. Looking forward to our next visit.

Food and service is always great here but the glasses on the table were pretty dingy almost like they were washed in dirty dish water and then air dried. They need a micro manager to be the bad cop to inspect these little things and correct the staff when they do this because it's the little things that count especially if you're a classy place. On the Surf Club side, they need to get rid of those tiny thin French fries it's not working brother trust me.
