“We love Banana Leaf and the family that owns and runs the restaurant. We’ve held rehearsal dinners, birthday parties, and family gatherings on top of our usual deliveries on nights we’re just too tired to cook. Shrimp blankets are a must for us. Our daughter has been eating those since she was a year old!“
“This is a really good Thai spot inside a Thai grocery store in/near Oak Cliff. The pho and pad thai were incredible. Their sausage is also really good.Owner/chef came out to greet us/talk to us. Very friendly staff and great service. There are about 5 tables in the back of the grocery store. So you’ll eat there or do takeout! First time going. I’d definitely return again.“
“There are levels to Thai cuisine- I’ve stuck to pad thai tried many places around DFWHere’s the thing- I actually taste my noodle ( each stands) and feels like the chef personally blessed -The food is always freshOne of my favorites thai places“
“Lemme just start by saying I don’t even like Thai food. Anyways my girlfriend and I looked up places to eat near by and found this spot. We called on a Saturday, they said they weren’t too busy and can accommodate us even if we show up late. We arrived at 8:25 PM not knowing what time they closed… they closed at 9. I felt bad knowing they closed soon but the two people in the store didn’t seem to care. They greeted us and helped us out without any attitude. Then came the food, we got tom yum soup with tofu, duck curry, papaya salad, and one more dish I don’t remember the name, but they were peak. I mean I’ve never had Thai food that I liked to this extent. I tried the Tom yum soup and was like ima need another Togo. I’m telling you best Thai food ever. Also Thai tea 10/10.We will come here every time we visit Dallas. I called my mom to tell her how good this place was.“
“Top notch! I came in at 3:30pm during a weekday so if it's that fresh during those dead hours I would think it's just as good during peak hours. This is some really good sushi! Very fresh salmon sashimi, the woman at the counter is very sweet and attentive, and I've felt some real VIP experience eating there. 14 bucks well spent I believe!Vegetarian options: Vegan cream cheese when indicatedParking: Restaurant parking is clearly labeled for the restaurant.“
“Excellent atmosphere, nice and quiet, warm lighting. I had the citrus beef, which was delicious. My wife really enjoyed the yellow curry w chicken, and my daughter enjoyed the pad Thai. The place wasn't busy at all, which is probably why it was quiet, but that also meant that our service was very prompt. There was a bit of a language barrier, but our waitress was patient and kind as we worked that out.“
“Green curry was excellent with a generous amount of eggplant and vegetables. Be aware, their curry is spicier than most. The waitress warned us and we backed off from 3 spicy to a 2 spicy and I am glad we did. Very reasonable prices! They validate parking in the building. I love the soft music they play in the background! Lovely atmosphere“
“Great food--great service! We ordered twice this month and were blown away both times. The Pad See EW and Basil fried rice are items that you MUST TRY! We had a very minor issue with Uber Eats, but Sam at Thai Orchid worked things out for us. We are VERY satisfied!Dietary restrictions: Food is spiced to order.“
“I had the Pad Woon Sen and I was accommodated by removing the baby corn and carrot (I like them but wasn't in the mood for them in this meal today) and adding bean sprouts and bamboo shoots. It's so tasty!!! And I had a side order of Cucumber ? salad and it had tasty shredded carrots ? in it and I loved it!!! ?“
“One of my favorite restaurants and for sure for thai/lao food! Been going here for years and highly recommend the spicy lao sausage, combo pad see ew, and beef laab :3 my friends that like drunken noods also approve. thai tea is also yummy!“
“Best Lao and Thai restaurant in the dallas fort worth area. The first time I tried it, the food was so good I had to come back again the next day. Customer service was hands down the best ive received in a while. 100% will a new go to spot in the “
“Family-run corner restaurant with a menu of Thai favorites. Clean, quiet, quaint atmosphere. Excellent penang, and the pad-woon-sen clear noodles are also great. Service is fast and attentive. Lots of seating and they appear to do a thriving takeout business.“
“Food was excellent and service was initially good. Me and another couple were the only ones in the restaurant and after receiving my appetizer and drink my server disappeared and I wasn’t checked on again. I had to go to the bar to just cash out. I left and went somewhere else which makes me sad because the food was amazing.“
“I don’t know where to start. The theme of the whole experience was “Addictive”.3 diverse food items, each of them sparked when I took a bite. That tuna tower looks heavenly, tastes even better. After the first bite we devoured it. The Tom Kha was flavorful. The crispy pad Thai was so unique.“
“Great place for Thai food. They're honest about their spice ratings, so pay attention. I've sweated through more than one shirt here, but I like the heat. I've eaten in and grabbed it to go. It travels well if you need to grab it to go.“
“As a Thai person who been living in Texas for many years this is one of the best authentic thai restaurants I’ve ever been to, the atmosphere and music is lively. The food is fantastic it taste just like home, and the chef is very nice and friendly I recommend coming here if you want to eat one of the best Thai food!“
“Such a cute Asian fusion restaurant. Why didn’t I know about it before? It is a must try.I got the fried vegetable egg rolls and red curry. Both dishes were so fresh and delicious. The staff were so nice as well. They have an amazing bar and beautiful Asian portraits.“
“Only stopped by briefly here for a quick snack, got the wings, which were delicious and had a nice crisp exterior. The staff running the counter were really friendly and it was a lovely day to sit outside their shop and enjoy the hustle and bustle or Victory Park. Hopefully will be back to try some of their other menu items!“
“Food ordered: Pad Thai, Pad Sew Ew and a Peach Green Tea. Everything tasted so good! Both noodle dishes were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Only complaint is I wish the Pad Sew Ew had more noodles. The Pad Thai had way more on the plate but the presentation of the dishes were so cute! I can't wait to come back. Service is wonderful too! It's the kind of service where you order and then get a buzzer and pick your food up at the station. They prepare it on a large wooden tray. You always service yourself water which btw was GOOD water as well! This place is clean and cute! Pricing is a bit on the higher side total was about $46 after tax and tip for two dishes and a drink! WORTH IT in my Opinion!“
“The veggies and tofu was very flavorful and yummy! Also, their crab and cream cheese rolls are heavenly. The sauce they serve them with was very good but I like the sweet chili sauce with them a little better. The staff is very sweet and the food came out very quick!“
“Me and my fiancé usually order to go here about once a week because we love the food. However, after over a year of living here we decided to go in person and was amazed. Anthony had great service and recommended a new dish that we haven’t tried yet. They also have a great happy hour with house brewed beers. We love Malai!“
“Had an amazing dinner at this place today! The staff made me feel incredibly welcome right off the bat, setting the stage for a fantastic meal. I went for the crispy beef, and it did not disappoint—crunchy on the outside, tender inside, and just packed with flavor. It's clear they know what they're doing with Asian cuisine. In short, great vibes, amazing food, and I'm definitely coming back for more.“
“The food is authentic and the portions are generous. My two (male) companions were able to finish their meals, but I didn't and was offered a box to take home the leftovers. The Thai fried rice was even better the next day. I will be back!“
“This is a really solid Laotian/Thai chain(I thinks it’s a location chain?) The food is always really consistent, and the website for ordering to go is really easy to use and has such nice photos. We love the wings sausage and papaya salad here! One of the best parts is, if you order your meal spicy—it is spicy. Some places still skimp even when you ask for the highest level. Definitely recommend“
“Tried this place for the first time a few days before Christmas. It was completely empty. They sat us and were gracious but made us aware that they were closing early. My companion and I quickly placed an order and the dishes arrived swiftly. They were absolutely delicious!! Loved the various vegetarian options on the vast menu. The spring rolls were yummy and the Thai tea so refreshing! We asked for level 3 spicy but it seems like Level -1. Hope to come back on my visit to Dallas!“
“We had Poh Pia (spring rolls) ***** $6.76, Gui Chai, Gui Chai (Crisp and Chewy Thai Fried Chive Cakes) **** $7.80, Mixed salads **** $5.20, Suki Hang (stir fry with tofu) ***** $15.60. Everything was good and they had some unique dishes compared to so many other Thai restaurants at which we've eaten over the years. Nice clean establishment with somewhat spartan decor. Friendly staff who accommodate vegan diners.“
“Came in for the first time wanting to try out something new. Got the Lao Rolls as an appetizer and the Crispy Pork Belly entree. Both were superb. The Lao Rolls had a great texture and the mushroom and chicken combination was a fantastic flavor. The pork belly was indeed crispy and served with bell peppers and fragrant Thai basil all in a delicious sauce. The menu has so many other delicious sounding dishes so we plan on returning.“
“Great service from the moment we stepped in. We were seated immediately. A server brought over a hot bowl of vegetable soup. (Great on a cool day, like today.) The food was great. The medium was spicy, but not overly hot. The mango, sticky rice dessert was delicious. The servers worked together to make sure that everyone was taken care of. It was worth the drive.Parking: Limited number of free spots in this little strip. You may also score a spot on the street.“
“My go to Thai takeout place since moving here in 2019. I never get photos of the food because I inhale it so fast- it's that good. My order is crab wontons, Tom Kha soup, and either red or green curry! The spice level is customizable and the dishes are so rich and comforting. Next time you're wanting a night on the couch with take out- order this!“
“I am absolutely astounded that this place didn't have more customers here. The food was wonderful. The staff was friendly, and the service was great. I guess having a bar next door didn't help with parking, but even still worth trying to get here. I went back a second time just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. Ordered Thai Ginger Chicken with extra ginger the second round. First was a Pad Thia.“
“Our two curry dishes were tasty and hot. Service was very fast at noon on a Saturday. The interior looks nice and the price was reasonable, $28 for both, including tax. Large portion sizes. Good location at Forest Lane and Marsh Lane. The only negative was that the sauce was a little watery. We have eaten Thai food for 30 years and this was above average.Parking: It's a strip mall anchored by a major grocery store with hundreds of parking spots.“
“This is a Thai chain and has three locations around downtown. So make sure you really put in the right address .Coming to food, it was refreshing , freshly made and super yummy. We were a party of 15 folks, so the staff was attentive and made sure order was delivered to the table in a sequence.Overall , a new addition to my restaurant list. Be it friends or work place buddies, you will have a good time. Reservations recommended ?“
“I typically get dinner to-go orders from here at least twice a month, but ate inside once when I brought a couple friends. I always enjoy the food and the wooden atmosphere is really nice inside. Staff are friendly and pretty quick regarding to-go orders. My friends also shared that they had a positive experience as well. Try out their pad thai or curry fried rice on the hot spicy level, it tastes better in my opinion.“
“I went here for first time today , the food was amazing ordered one plate of chicken fried rice . I will add though I'm not sure about the surcharge fee I don't associate my self with thai and Chinese pop shops because they take advantage of people pockets. But overall I respect there busines and then help feed the community. Just don't take advantage of persons with that register man come one .“
“I ordered the Combo Shrimp and Tofu Panang Curry (spicy level) which was gluten free. The rice and curry were served in separate containers and a colorful plate was given to eat on. The shrimp and tofu were perfect! The Panang Curry was the perfect spice level for my palette. The bell peppers were fresh with the right amount of crunch. The rice was a bit too dry. Its consistency seemed better suited for a fried rice dish. Overall, I was satisfied with what I ordered. The drinks are in a refrigerated box. There is no ice present which was a disappointment. The music playing in the background was pop rock. I would have preferred Thai music. This location seems to do a lot of pickups from delivery services in the area, but the dining area is comfortable with booths and regular contemporary tables. I love the artistic decorated wall at the back of the restaurant. I have included pictures of the food ordered and the interior design. The noise level in the kitchen could be heard in the dining area and sometimes competed with the music playing. At least the cooks sounded happy while they were working. The gentleman, Dharmateia V., at the front taking orders was helpful.Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free options are marked on the menuParking: Shopping center parking lot“
“I ordered a beef curry and basically no protein in the meal. I guess 3 OZ if protein in a $ 14.25 meal is not professional. Don’t ask the people bring the food back that is so unprofessional in order to avoid this kind of situations just serve what the client paid for. as a customer is so unpleasant take dinner home and bring it back because some one is trying to saveMoney to the owner Please don’t try to take advantage of guess with this kind of practices. This is the reason why lot of restaurants lost clients.“
“One of the best meals I've had. Period.Thai opal gives an elegant feel while providing excellent service. A great spot for a date night. The Thai Iced Tea and Spicy Peanut plate were delicious. Their fried rice is at the top of my list now. Overall, a wonderful experience. I didn't take enough pictures, but the peanut sauce accompanying these Shrimp Summer Rolls was delicious. Compliments to the chef.“
“Ambiance : A casual atmosphere, the place was fully organized, clean and with the different seating arrangement it can carry big partis and small ones.Services. Staff were very quick and friendly. I noticed a few other full tables and lots of takeout orders but still they manage to be fast, efficient and keep our drinks full.Food. The dishes are fresh, have a great flavor and so many options. As you can get a mix of Thai or Sushi. Great in taste, and the size of the meal was acceptable too compared to the prices which is very reasonable in comparison to other Thia halal restaurants.Chicken Pad Thai, Thai herbal chicken and pepper steak are the classic dishes, and I would say they were well done, the food was perfectly prepared and seasoned to please your taste buds. For me, that means anything else on the menu must be that much and more. The orange chicken was tangy and zesty, and the chicken was crispy. The tom yum gai soup was delicious. Loved the Eel with rice bowl. The tuna tower and their sushi were very well received and enjoyed I am guessing from everyone.I will definitely visit again to try more Entrées.“
“If you’re looking for a Thai fusion spot you might want give this place a try . They have a great selection for cocktails and all of them are infused with unique flavors which I found really interesting . I had the pumpkin crispy chicken it’s not the traditional way I preferred but I did enjoy it . Their presentation is on point by the way . Amazing service !“
“Ordered delivery from this place for the first time. A lot of good things on the menu to decide from. I chose the crispy dumplings and the Mongolian Beef. From the order to the delivery had great service. Food was delivered warm and had great appeal. The crispy dumplings were perfect, nice and crispy with great flavor. The Mongolian beef also had great flavor and cooked to perfection. I will definitely eat here again, great experience, highly recommend. If their delivery is this good, I can only imagine how great of a dine In experience would be.“
“I went here because I wasn’t feeling very well and wanted coconut soup. I did a pickup order and was really impressed with how well they keep the restaurant cozy and comfortable. The person who checked me out told me they’ve been there 30 years and I would love the soup. And he was right! It was exactly what I needed and I’m so glad I picked up two orders because this is going to be a great lunch tomorrow. I can already feel it heal my body and soul and open up my nasal passages. I will definitely be back!“
“I can’t believe anything less than 4-5 stars for Saucy’s! The food is consistently great. (They ask for preferred spice level 1-5, but go low! It’s very spicy even at a 2.) The staff is attentive and friendly. The service is pretty fast. Someone send small portions: I beg to differ!!! My Saucy’s meals last me for 3 dinners-happily! We have been 4-5 times and with friends and everyone has been very happy (ecstatic even!) with their meals.“
“I’ve only gotten take out here but would certainly love to hang on the lovely patio once it warms up. The food is incredible! Tom Kha soup is my go to and the curries -esp green one will not disappoint.Vegetarian options: Tofu available with all mealsDietary restrictions: Vegan options“
“This place never disappoints! Good service and delicious food. The back portion of the restaurant has some really cool artwork on the walls that I really like. I’ve found the food to be hot, fresh, pretty and very good. Check them out. They have a yummy selection of dishes.“
“So good came back twice in a day. The second time was a pick up order and I was late and they waited almost 30 minutes for me to pick up after close. Also I requested the food with extra love. Must eat place ignore the bad reviews they're just “
“I started coming here because it was right by my apartment. I don’t even live in the same neighborhood at all anymore and i still come because other Thai food just doesn’t compare. They are always so sweet and appreciative of your business as well.“
“The service here is AMAZING!Ilene took my order over the phone and literally had it ready for me in 5 minutes!!She’s the best!!!The food is delicious and the service is top notch! Thanks again for being awesome! I will definitely be back soon…“
“My coworker and I come here for lunch at least once a week during work. The lunch bento combo never fails me and my coworker likes the herbal Sriracha chicken fried rice. Everything is deliciously well seasoned. They are always kind and friendly. Small counter seating area with more seating available outside. Would recommend if you want a solid lunch spot, they also do takeout.“
“Only sushi spot open later than your moms house (ooooooooooooo) great sushi, people are really nice. I wouldn't say go here as your first option for sushi, but definitely try it out if you're craving some and you're just in the area. Opened pretty new so everything's nice and shiny. Overall a good spot, not the best but definitely does the job.“
