“First, Feathered Friend is not closed. It moved to the Canton Marketplace. Check their website and/or FB. Second, the Canton Marketplace is open only once a month, during Canton First Mondays. That's not Monday, it's the Thu-Sun before the first Monday of each month. So, yes, only one weekend a month can you try this place! Third, I never thought this place looked good because it was in a gas station, and maybe the logo didn't spark joy for me. Even in the Canton Marketplace, I almost didn't try it. My misjudgment! The spicy OG is the ***best*** chicken sandwich I've ever had. It's a bit messy, so maybe I should ask for 3/4 as much sauce. Or really, I'll just learn to be tidier each time I enjoy it. Sauce might drip out even as you are unwrapping it. =)The regular OG is the **2nd-best** chicken sandwich I've ever had. =) Chicken thighs FTW!!! (You can also get the sandwich with white meat instead, but I much prefer the version with dark meat. Really owe it to yourself to try the OG as an OG.)They also make their own sweet tea and lemonade. Of the sides I've tried, I think I liked the corn/elote best. Oh, right, they also have a mean salad! One of the best I've ever had. Tough choice between that and the spicy OG. But I'd say you gotta try the chicken sandwich at least once, the way it's meant to be. You can take the salad home for later. Chef Ryan is a nice guy. I think he likes trying new things and thinking outside the box.I give them six stars. But minus one for being open only one weekend a month.”

“Driving up, the restaurant is very unassuming. It is inside a short strip center at the end. You are immediately greeted when you step in the door. Smiles abound. Most tables were taken, but we were seated and drink orders were taken. Very on the ball. Pricing is reasonable and affordable. Our orders were accurately taken and filled without delay. We watched in anticipation as other tables orders arrived. After a reasonable amount of time, our order arrived. Glasses were never empty, salsa continuously refilled. This modest little restaurant brought big flavor with appropriate portions worth bragging about. All employees we observed were working hard and efficiently. I am looking forward to going back”

“Laid back hometown bar scene. Something is happening almost every day of the week here. Pool tables, food, music, dance floor, and slots. Non-smoking inside but 2 very nice covered patios. There are fire pits in the back, too. So bring your favorite people, grab a drink at the bar, shoot some pool, hang out by the fire, or put on your dancing shoes and hit the dance floor. And I your feeling extra lucky, you can try your hand on the slots also. You never know, it may just be your lucky day all the way around. But even if you're not so lucky, I'm sure you will have a damn good time trying to change that.”

“Where do I start? Menu was HUGE! Didn't even know what to order, but was helped out by staff to order the on-special chicken fried steak. They informed me that mashed potatoes were boiled fresh and by hand/scratch every day, so I got that as well, plus okra. It was amazing. Choice of white or brown gravy, went with white, and it was delicious. Super cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, quick service, good food, and decent prices. What's not to like? And with the huge menu, I'll be coming back multiple times to try all the things. A+”

“13 years ago I worked here as my second job while I was on a work exchange student program. I fell in love with the food and place. The team and customers. Up to today I remember my every morning one customer who would come and buy a coffee, read his newsletter and tip me everyday 2$ for simply being on top of his coffee refills. “We were quickly addressed and seated when we arrived. The restaurant appears clean and cared for. Tables, chairs, flooring, and paint are all on good condition. We were immediately provided drinks. Our orders accurately taken, we received our food fresh and hot. Our glasses were kept full, but then our server disappeared. Other than the server disappearing at the end of our visit, we were able to acquire our check and go. Overall, the food was good and we had a positive experience.”

“I had the tuna tower. I was so pleased with it! The flavors were so good. When I ordered it I was a little skeptical. But it was the most satisfying plate of food I've had in canton texas! We arrived 10 minutes before they closed the lunch run, but they were so polite about it being so close to closing and still served us with the best service.”
