The goat cheese is mixed with honey, baked, and served while it's still bubbling hot. You mix the goat cheese, spread it on their freshly grilled (and oiled!) bread, and top it off with a sweet onion jam. I know onion jam sounds odd, but it doesn't taste like onion at all, and tastes mostly like a sweet jam that pairs in the most heavenly way with your hot cheese.

Grilled pulpo: was good but definitely on the expensive side. Pulpo in Spain was not cheap either, but I liked the texture of pulpo at the restaurants I've had in Spain. They were much less chewier and had a softer texture. The one at Tabla had a great flavor (citrus + that grilled, savory char) and went really well with their hummus. thanks

Tabla is fantastic. I've been going for years and also just ate there the last 2 nights in a row. Norbert is an artist in the kitchen with his restaurant and the food is always top notch. Definitely a hidden gem
